Kfc in Darlington

Bad place missed 12 pieces in our variety bucket, we spend 18.99 for 6 pieces and 4 fries this is not on. Will not return to this one

Chips freezing cold, chicken dry and cold and greasy this the second time this has happened first time I thought it may be a one off.!!! Asked for no sauces nor salad on my sons burger came with all of it on!! That was also cold 18 95 waste of money, in fact don't waste yours go somewhere else cheaper and get HOT food I've totally gone off KFC gone in bin

Check your order!! We all know KFC often forget the gravy on your order so after several times of items missing from this branch on our last visit we stopped to check and we had 3 items missing!!!! So back in the drive through queue again when we got back to the window the girl said sorry we didn’t know who’s food this was! It can’t be hard you have a list on the order!

I went in with my son and the place is dirty, tables not cleared, food on the floor and the food is inedible. When served after a long long wait we were short on drinks. I would never recommend anyone to buy food here.

Awesome food, chicken hot and crispy. Used the new table service. Team were friendly, and helpful. Looking tired, but I guess this is down to the age of the restaurant.

Food tends to be good here, but not always the fastest service. It can be a long wait sometimes. Some of the younger staff do a great job up front.

Awful sent it back as chicken over done & so dry & bone dry chips vile.. Your feet sick to the floor.. 🤮

travelled almost an hour to see what this establishment has to offer. understandably, i went to the toilet after the lengthy journey. i was met by a huge log which was laid around the circumference of the toilet seat. i have never been as equally disgusted and impressed by the sheer magnitude of the trouser snake that was before me. unbelievable. wasnt hungry anymore though.

If you want your fast food go to McDonalds, clearly the Just Eat orders are prioritised as they walk in and out with no wait……. We went on Sat 11th Dec and had to wait 1 hour in the Drive Thru, once you are in the Drive Thru there is no turning back….. FFS 🤦🏼‍♀️ Asked for a discount/ full refund to be told I could have £1 off and the poor girl gave us a free box of Popcorn Chicken. The staff I do feel sorry for as they get the full barrage of complaints, management are no where to be seen (hiding) and they clearly can’t cope with Just Eat, Walk Ins and the Drive Thru. KFC sort this out…… I was amused by the rat in the bins while waiting for my food though 🤢

So I attended this restaurant at 13.00 and I had an hours break (I’m a staff nurse in a hospital doing a 12 hour shift) after 45 minutes I had to ask for a refund as I needed to be back at work to finish my 12 hour shift. No apology from staff and I’ve had to remain hungry all day!!! Should of went to Mac Donald’s then at least I would of had my food!!!

The dustiest food I've ever had the displeasure of consuming. The chicken was a visual abomination, and even worse to taste. I could have flown to Kazakhstan and back twice, wrote the entire works of Shakespeare but translated into Korean, developed a cure to cancer and pushed my nan down the stairs before my order was ready. Absolutely shambolic.

Asked for no legs as kids won't eat them.on a 4 piece meal and got 2 ,thats 50% Chips were dry and over cooked. Recommend try the other shop in Darlington. Also staff can't count to 10 if get bargain bucket.count it before you pull away

The staff concentrate on Just Eat or Deliveroo orders first, then the drive thru and finally walk ins. I walked in this evening and forty minutes later walked out with my order. When I got home five minutes later I found the chips were stone cold, not slightly warm but stone cold. The bucket of chicken was just a mass of grease and soggy pieces of coating, it was as though they had kept the chicken in a tray and had tipped what was left into the bucket they gave to me. After I had seperated the pieces i found there to be one short. Three pieces were drumsticks that had disintegrated, two were bottom rib that had no skin on and the rest were wings. There was no decent pieces in the bucket. I had also ordered a boneless strip meal that cost £7.48 and had three strips no longer than my thumb, a box of popcorn chicken that had five pieces of chicken, basically half a box and twelve fries. All cold. The gravy was half a tub. What can I say but it is the biggest rip off ever. You get half the food you would get anywhere else. The staff are hopeless and have no idea what they are doing, presumably down to the lack of training and kept on saying between themselves that they were running out of things and that there would be half an hour wait. Obviously this was what happened to me but they used the new food for the delivery and drive thru orders and gave me the rubbish. The whole experience was one I will not repeat and complaining is a waste of time as the management don't care. It's a pity as years ago this KFC used to be the best in the area and now it's a cess pit.

Revisited again tonight . Fast food ?? Not! Over 15 minutes for a 2 piece meal. No napkins, no wipes, I love KFC but always such a wait at this branch. Think I’ll stick to the North road branch

Poor service. Let you order but don’t tell you there’s a 20 minute wait. So you end up stuck in the drive through. I’ve been at different times food never ready. God knows how they keep that franchise going. But that’s it finally finished with them. No more chances. Go to other beaches now.

Disgraceful. Firstly i didn’t get the half price meal as promised then after 15 mins waiting while the 7 staff looked after drive through and ignoring my order and moving it down the screen i cancelled my order. Now I have no dinner and have to wait 7 days to get my money back. These people dont care at all. Would rather eat my own genitalia than go back to kfc.

Never had to have my coat fastened in any form of eating house. I wasn't expecting a gourmet meal for £6.29, but didn't think they'd serve a fillet of chicken which drier (and tougher) than a beer mat. The customer service would been home in Fawlty Towers

Bought us both a meal as a treat what a laugh! it was cold, congealed and tasted VILE. We threw it all in the bin after just a mouthful each, the fries, chicken pieces, gravy and popcorn chicken all smelled dreadful and tasted even worse. Never again!

Last three occasions I have visited this place either ran out of chicken at 20:00 or a 20 minute wait on a Saturday lunchtime. Staff just seem to have a “tough” attitude, pull up in a disabled bay and wait. Darlington really needs a much better KFC. God knows how they manage to stay in business.

this place is nice, something had changed as it is so much cleaner than our last visit, the staff seem a lot happier in there job role. lots of smiles, cheeky no harm done banter, yes we will return when next in this area, a real pleasure to enjoy a good meal

Half my order didn’t turn up and when I rang the restaurant they said that there was nothing they could do!! I had already paid for the meal by card. The food that did arrive was cold and the chips were the worst I’ve ever had. Avoid.

I took my son to KFC yesterday so called fast food eventually got the food got it home 2 bonus boxes chicken was cold less than half a dozen chips in each box £15 later shocking, don't waste your money

I know that it’s “fried chicken” but at least allow the fat to drain off before serving! Very greasy!

Staff friendly and pleasant , service slow as only one staff member Card machines were down and other problems that others were sortingProbably why food took a short while but not far too long Floors and tables covered with leftovers, never saw a staff member cleaning in 30 minutes Diet Pepsi was flat, mini fillets were tasteless or had a taste that wasn't chicken ( only half ate both ) Hot wings not even slightly spicy , fries were cold Possibly the worst fast food experience of my life ( I'm 53 !! ) Would've complained but staff run off their feet so didn't want to make their day worse

We hqave stopped visiting this KFC, due to at times the lack of cleanliness. More con trol has to be done of large crowds of kids taking over many tables not ordering anything.

We came here and it was virtually empty, there was one member of staff serving who was clearly new and couldn’t deal with more than one order at a time, we didn’t mind the slow service as everyone needs to learn the ropes. The dining area and toilets however were disgusting, tables left dirty, bins overflowing and the toilets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in days. Someone eventually emptied a bin which leaked all over the floor, this wasn’t cleaned up but dealt with by simply placing a wet floor sign out and left.

Must be the only chicken restaurant that has no prices displayed for chicken pieces. They want to sell you more expensive meal deals and keep the good old chicken pieces on there own off the menu. They will tell you if you ask!

The place was lovely and clean and the food reasonable apart from too much pepper in the chicken coating, which left my mouth feeling very hot. The staff aren't friendly or cheerful it's like the customers are a nuisance and they don't want to be there; not the sort of welcome you would expect. We weren't given any napkins I had to go back and ask for some, when I asked if I could have some sugar for my coffee I was told rather abruptly "over there"

The chicken was well overcooked and so dry a a result that it was not edible. There was still feathers on some of the pieces. Definitely not fit for consumption.

The only thing that lets it down is that that always miss something from order- we have rang or gone back so many times we are embarrassed-

Went to the drive through and ordered my usual 3 piece variety meal. I was asked if I wanted hot wings and I told them it came with hot wings, I was told it didn’t so I ordered 2 for 99p. They also had none of the normal drinks available. No Pepsi max, Diet Pepsi or 7 up. Waited for over 15 minutes and was told they were just waiting for chicken!! They don’t sell much else so why the wait? They should be prepared. Eventually got my meal and when I checked I had 4 hot wings, the extra 2 I’d paid for plus the 2 included with the meal !! The batter was over cooked, my alternative drink was wrong. It’s meant to be fast food- it never is !

Staff here are courteous, if at times harassed and the foods fine. However the building has become less than inviting. It's never particularly warm & recently it's changed Wi-Fi which you can't connect with. I got a token once but at the last attempt was told they'd run out. This is just daft, ok you might want to restrict kids hanging around just using the Wi-Fi but this just doesn't work.

Snowed 3 days ago and staff still haven’t cleared drive through of snow. Perfect encapsulation of how poor the place is run top to bottom.

This place does not seem to take a simple order correctly. Then once you point out their error you then see how bad their customer care skills really are. No appologies just simply "there is your burger" and it being thrown across the counter at you. Staff seem to disregard how important customer service is and kfc or the franchise that run this place really need to review the type of people they employ. Attitude stinks

Ha sido un par de veces a la nueva Albert Road KFC, pero no más. La mayoría de las ocasiones ordenados en drive thru, esperamos un tiempo en que sólo me dijeron que no hay pollo listo cuando llego a la ventana y a parar en el aparcamiento y esperar. Siempre pensé que KFC estaba "rápida" y "drive thru comida significaba exactamente eso no y parque! Ir a la franquicia Yarm road - tienden a ser un poco más organizado y tener mejor planificación (suministro) para el cliente footfall.

Visitado KFC esta noche, no Catterick que ocupados. Llegamos a través de la ventana y colocó la orden, dijo que conducir a última ventana, sacó partido dijeron no pollo listo, a 25 minutos de espera! ! No hay pollo listo? ? ? Picked up 3piece chicken meal, your either hit or miss with KFC, unfortunately I picked a Miss Day, chicken very Dry, however KFC anytime over a McDonalds

When you go to a KFC you know what to expect in terms of food which was the standard that you would expect, however the hygiene in this particular restaurant was appalling! The tables and floor were filthy and full of scraps of food. While we were there, another customer asked for his table to be cleaned, and the girl came over with a cloth and wiped the majority and the food onto the floor! Shocking!Toilets were filthy too and stank of a mixture of urine and chemicals! Seriously need to up their game if we are to return!

A quick visit on a Sunday at 1pm for a takeaway.Chose the 12 piece boneless chicken deal, only took a couple of minutes to give in the order and no more than 5 minutes for it to arrive.Staff were all pleasant and the premises were clean and tidy.The meal was just as expected, very tasty and good value for money. Easily enough for a family of four.

good KFC , came about 8pm , clean , fast , friendly. good value, easy parking later at night. Tasty well cooked chicken and good value as well.

Came here for lunch with hubby while out shopping. The queue was long so we waited about 10 minutes. We sat down with our food and noticed a table next to the window still had trays on, there was food and rubbish on the floor too and not a cleaner in sight. This isn't the first time I have seen this here. I emailed kfc to alert them, got a 'sorry' email back.

When we visited this KFC we were absolutely disgusted at how dirty and untidy the place was. The tables and floor were covered in uneaten food, the bins were over flowing and the food was awful and not very warm. I went to the men's loo, no toilet paper and floor covered in urine, hand dryer not working. Won't be visiting again.

Good when on the run or short of time. We love the family boneless bucket, a fav of the children. Good value for money as get two sides,chips and Coke with it.

The service was slow even though the place was empty,chips were stone cold,the bread bun was stale and fell apart,salad was limp and turning brown,the person serving was foreign and had a bad grasp of English,and said the chips were always cold.,Asked for NO Ice in the drink but was told "It has to have Ice".Meaning a drink which was 2/3's ice.The chicken itself was bland,chewy and cold.I don't frequent these establishment's but fancied something quick and easy,in future I will put my hunger on hold.

Called in here for something quick while in the area. It was quite busy when we first went in however service was quick and efficient and the queue soon disappeared. We ordered our usual KFC meals and honestly, they were a lot nicer than our local KFC. The only complaint I have is for some reason gravy pots are only half full. The staff were pleasant, the food was nice. I wont hesistate to come here again if im in the area.

Used the drive through and was told both hot drinks and icecream sundaes were not available with our boneless bucket meals as machines not working. No sauces offered/given. No hand wipes offered/given. Whilst we sat and ate our food in the car. Three of the staff came outside with drinks and had a smoke sat on the kerb. Was 1030 pm by the time we finished our food, so wonder if machines had been cleaned down rather than not working??? Shall not go back.

Stopped by on my lunch break just to quickly grab a wrap, which was nice enough (identical to every wrap I've had from every KFC I've ever been to) and at £1.49 the price is good too. The problem is that every time I go here there seems to be some kind of banal disaster going on behind the scenes, the kitchen seems to be a noisy confusing blur of activity, the sum total of which adds up to surprisingly little. I think the problem is their seemingly new service model, revolving around a constantly updating screen.I was lucky during my visit that I only had to wait a little under 10 minutes from ordering to get what I wanted and was on my way (any longer and I would've been late back to work!) Other people with orders more complicated than 1 item, who were ahead of me in the queue, were still waiting impatiently at the counter when i left, in all the time I was there only one other person got what they ordered, and even then their order sat half complete in front of them for a few minutes (not good service)In summary this place is worth a visit, just to marvel at how little is achieved from all of the activity going on behind the counter. It really is quite amazing. Just don't come here expecting fast food, you're going to be in for a frustrating wait.

We had the economy bucket between 3 service fairly quick fries good but chicken although freshly cooked tasted little bit blander than normal.

I read the reviews on here and it was with much trepidation we visited this restaurant. We found the place to be very clean, and manned by friendly efficient staff. The food was freshly prepared and hot. An excellent visit.

We often call at KFC for a bargain bucket allways good value and very tasty and freshly cooked and very convenient

Called in for snack it was dirty and toilets smelt of wee OMG !! Never again !!! Staff where ok but food over cooked and dry bun was hard drink ok as expected !!.Very greasy chicken and not very fresh.

Don't know where to start!The card machine hardly ever works, the tables are filthy, toilet are filthy and your feet stick to the floor. Staff uniforms need a good wash as well.

First of all it took 20 minutes for put food to arrive and then it took 5 attempts to get out order right and then you could tell there wasn't enough staff there to serve us waste of time not coming back here for a while

Was ere with Gf and kids the place was a mess. Dirty floor dirty tables and uninterested staff all they wanted to do was group together and chat. Waited for over 15 minutes to be served and there was only 2 people in front. I would recommend this place to anybody it was bad really bad. not much more to say really

This store gets packed, last time we went toilets out of use.. rubbish everywhere! Drive thru also broke. Staff wasn't able to cope under pressure the food was shocking!

OK but I prefer proper food not really into fast food but not bad for a quick snack but not too often
