Love this place. The Meze evening was fabulous . Would definitely recommend.

Lovely pies and bakes on show, so tempting and clearly made by someone who knows how to get traditional home baking looking just right. Enjoyed a tasty lunch and a cornflake tart to take home. Will be back to sample more of the menu

Amazing Cakes, Pies, Coffees and breads. Top quality Food. Highly recommended. Friendly Staff too. They sell lovely cheeses and Honey etc too.

Fab restaurant, fab service, lovely interior & ambience,food quality very good,portions pretty big,I thought the prices were pretty good,deffo going back,booked a table for me& the boss,we had a lovely time,deffo advise anyone to give this place a go

Called on way back from Durham Uni visit. Food was great and high value we polished off the plates. Otherwise normal village pub setting and clientel

Lovely location and spacious rooms with pretty views across the lake but overall I would say this is more like a 3 star hotel. The rooms, although nicely decorated were not particularly clean..there was hair on the bathroom floors, the carpet was all frayed around the edges and grouting missing from the bathroom floor. Little touches that could easily be maintained. The breakfast was sub par. Cereals had expired, the pastries were hard and the fruit most probably came out of a tin. The staff were all very friendly, as most northers are but the service was slow and not very attentive. I think most wanted to go home. Overall the hotel looked dated but it has potential. Hard mattresses too & no extra quilts for feeling a chill at night…again..it’s the small touches that count. We won’t stay here again…would rather a small boutique B&B.

Wow. Just wow. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a nice hello by a member of staff. We were seated and there was nice music playing in the background. 3 minutes later, the waiters were waiting on us to. We ordered our food and it didn’t take long. It came out to us hot and delicious. Presentation was amazing. Workers were so nice to us. I would like to come here again. I took pictures of the food and the seating area before they closed down for the night. Don’t worry. When we walked in, there was a good amount of happy people.

Delusional pricing. Came for lunch and ordered 2 lunch specials and I had to go off the main menu. Got the final bill and found that I had been charged £5 for a basic bowl of rice, the same rice as the “lunch special” that was part of that meal. That’s annoying but the drinks were the biggest mick take, £6 for a fruit shoot and a small glass of water with a dash of organge cordial. Absolute rip off. No children’s menu so ended up paying £15 for a child’s meal. The food is decent enough but I won’t be back after that experience.

Fantastic place! We pre-booked for 7 of us after hearing how busy it gets, and wanted to call for an early Mother's Day lunch. Service was excellent, what a lovely bunch of ladies. So much choice on the menu and the counter as you walk in just makes your mouth water. We had panini, steak slice, corned beef slice, quiche and toasties. We all had a pudding as well, the cornflake tart was so delicious, as were the strawberry tarts, cookies and chocolate fudge cake. Wonderful place can't wait to return.

What a fabulous place to eat. Staff were very welcoming and genuinely happy to help. Food was spot on and with a generous offer portion. Price wise very reasonable.

A lovely family run restaurant with a good vibe and superb food. Definitely worth a visit when you are in the area.
