The best restaurants in Village Southwark London

La comida es deliciosa, el vino es bueno y el personal es muy amable. Decoraciones encantadoras sólo un poco caro. Nunca recibí una factura detallada, por lo que no pude verificar después lo que la hizo tan cara.

My boyfriend and I came here for supper last week after buying a voucher from wowcher- £19 for a 5 course carribean meal. Like some of the other reviews I've read- we almost missed the entrance as it isn't well lit nor even looks open from the outside. The restaurant itself is huge and we were only in there with about 4 other people. The food was fresh and tasty- I really enjoyed the jerk chicken starter as well as the sunshine fish which I had as my main. It was slightly disappointing that one of the starters and one of the mains were sold out as it made the menu slightly more limited. I would say worth a visit but if you're looking for atmosphere then this isn't the place for you.

I have come back to try their food after 4 years and i think it could be one of the best curries iv tried.

Ok comida y café, pero muy caro para lo que es. Si el servicio coincidiera con los precios, podría aceptarlo, pero el personal masculino puede ser clientelar con los clientes. Mi recomendación es ir a uno de los muchos otros cafés en Half Moon Lane si prefiere su café sin prepotencia.

🚇 Herne Hill 🍺 £5.90 Amstel The Half Moon is located in the heart of Herne Hill in South London. The nearest station is Herne Hill mainline. There has been a pub on this site since around 1760. The pub you see today was built in 1896 and is Grade-II listed. This was once a popular venue for live music, hosting world-famous acts including U2, Van Morrison, Frank Sinatra and David Bowie. In August 2013, the pub was forced to close after a water-main burst, causing five feet of flooding. After concerns from the local community that the pub would be lost, the pub was granted ACV status. Fuller’s beautifully restored this Victorian pub to its former glory, which reopened in March 2017. This is a traditionally decorated two bar pub that oozes Victorian charm. The main bar is a good size and stretches down to a dining area at the rear. To the left of the main bar behind a stunning partition wall is a second room with a beautiful servery and an intimate snug. Everywhere you look, there are amazing features including wood panelling, chandeliers, engraved mirrors and leaded windows. At the rear of the pub is a spacious beer garden with covered booths and an outside bar. This pub has a good selection of beers which included a couple of cask ales. I decided on an Amstel, my pint was great, price point was below average. There is classic pub grub menu available, Fish & Chips costs £18.50, Roasts are available on a Sunday. I arrived around 2.30pm on a warm and sunny Saturday afternoon in September. The pub was quiet inside, as almost every punter was outside lapping up the sunshine in the beer garden. The atmosphere was upbeat with a nice buzz emanating around the beer garden, the service was pleasant and courteous. This is a very handsome pub indeed and thankfully it was saved by the local community and lovingly restored by Fuller’s. All in all, this was a most enjoyable pub experience, @thehalfmoonpub is a stunning boozer, a must visit if you’re in the area. 📅 21st September 2024

Gran lugar para comer cuando visite Dulwich Picture Gallery. El personal era agradable e informativo - y eficiente, había una buena elección de gluten - platos gratis en el menú y la comida era muy sabrosa. Me alegra que fuera el servicio de camarero / camarera lo que aceleró las cosas y evitó las colas y aglomeraciones en la caja (s) que a menudo se obtiene en los establecimientos de autoservicio. Me encantó el estofado de cazador y mi marido tenía los (g - f) huevos Benedict, ambos deliciosos. Sabrosos pasteles para después también, y el precio no está mal para ese tipo de ambiente. Muy decepcionado con la comida que pedí hoy! Pidió rabo de buey y consiguió pollo guisado! ! ! ! Agregando insultos a la lesión, tengo huesos de pollo y puré, fondo quemado de la olla de pollo. ¿Terrible?

Se la parte hotel non mi ha soddisfatto quella pub è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Cucina da pub ma con alcuni piatti gourmet molto ben eseguiti. Ambiente molto caldo ed accogliente. Servizio ultra gentile da parte di tutto il personale,giovane e sorridente che si fanno in quattro per soddisfare ogni esigenza. Birre molto buone , naturalmente servite all' inglese non fredde e con poca schiuma. Prezzi nella norma.

¿Han subido los precios o ha pasado un tiempo desde que estoy aquí? 50 para cappaucino de leche de avena y brioche de natilla. Por ese precio el lugar debe estar limpio. No lo es. Necesito limpiar su acto aquí

Hoy vine a almorzar y pedí una baguette de tocino, Brie y arándano. Elemento de menú estándar. Me dijeron que sería una espera de 5 minutos. 15 minutos más tarde estaba finalmente listo. Salí del local, abrí la baguette para descubrir que me habían dado tocino, Brie y pollo! Volví y hablé con el tipo que había tomado mi orden y señaló esto. Me dijo que la orden decía pollo, no arándano, a pesar de que él fue el que tomó mi orden! ¡Definitivamente pedí arándano no pollo! No se ofreció ninguna disculpa o resolución, así que me fui porque no tuve tiempo de reemplazarlo (¡no es que esto se ofreciera!). Muy decepcionado y no volverá. Baguette era promedio en el mejor de los casos.

Acaban de apoderarse del café en Southwark Park, sí que se ve bonito pero no hay ambiente y la comida es horrible. Nuestra hamburguesa de pollo de búfalo se quemó por fuera y las patatas fritas estaban duras. Los precios son demasiado altos. Una vez más, en Southwark, la población local es ignorada. Cuando fui hoy estaba medio vacío. Por lo general, a media mañana está lleno de lugareños sentados por dentro y por fuera para desayunar o almorzar tomando café.

Orden de Deliveroo: sin duda, la peor comida china que he probado en años. Pollo Szechuan: salsa espeluznante y pegajosa con trozos de chiles secos, pollo sin sabor y trozos de pimientos pálidos como única verdura en la salsa.
