Pizza Express in Southwark

The staff was very friendly. The advertised pizza for 8£ is only for people with the app who have signed up. On one phone installing with the provided wifi took forever, on the other phone the app was not at all available. So we would have only gotten the offer once. But the mail after the sign-up only came hours later. We were hungry and would have had the offer and might have come back. We decided to go somewhere else and not come back. If you advertise an offer: give it. Don't force possible customers through an annoying installing and sign-up process.

My food was very cold the driver come on scooter but he let me impression he was walking. I usually order with delivero but this time I tried with just eat I’m disappointed I can’t eat my cheese it’s hard now

Very bad service from Just Eat to the restaurant. Called the restaurant to have more understanding about my order. The manager laugh at me without listening to my need. When I asked his name he hung up on me. I recall and no answer, I got answer when I called with a different number. I asked to speak with the manager and he passed me another guy that told me that he was the FOH and the manager was the person that I was speaking before. I really didn’t appreciate how I have been treated.

The food was cold soggy and tasteless. A waste of money!

My kids loved having pizzas at Pizza Express in Dulwich

Pizza is delicious, well cooked and well made. Dough balls are simply 🤤 and our server Marley was super attentive, friendly, and an all round charmer. Had a great time!

First off, our main server was a nice guy. But, we waited about 40 minutes after ordering before anyone came back to the table. We were told one of our pizzas had been given to someone else and had a low-key apology. We then had our dough balls but waited another 20 minutes before any pizzas turned up. This was one of 3 pizzas and it was both overcooked and lukewarm. The other two pizzas then arrived hot but again, overcooked (and bland if I’m honest). Our server did give another low-key apology for the wait again when we paid but at no point did anyone offer any kind of gesture for the mistake and excessive wait (free doughballs or drink as a gesture?). We left a tip, I don’t really know why, but probably because the main server was a decent bloke. The restaurant doesn’t seem to be able to cope with running a sit-in restaurant and a delivery service. The restaurant was half full after about an hour of us getting there but people coming in were being told to expect an hour wait for food. They seemed to be prioritising delivery orders. Won’t be returning to this specific restaurant.

Really great branch - cosy but well set up for us with our baby (high chairs aplenty and good nappy changing area). Marley the waiter was excellent 👍 Update: went here recently and although Marley doesn't seem to be working there anymore, Chris our waitress was absolutely fantastic. Super helpful, attentive and sorted out an issue with our dessert very professionally and apologetically. Quality of service was fab - will definitely be back again soon!

Our pizza party was a great success thanks to mainly to the young server, Malacai. He presided over 16 under 10 year olds wonderfully, with everyone leaving stuffed to the brim and happy. Outside of a misunderstanding over the deposit procedure, and delayed dough-balls on the day, what would normally be a difficult experience was a relatively painless one.

Nothing arrived! I’m so angry. Will never fiend my money here again.

We had an absolute ball here this weekend for my son’s 6th birthday! I strongly recommend booking this experience for small humans they had such a good time preparing and decorating their own dishes. I was so surprised by how well they all listened, focused and how creative they all were. They even named their creations quite unique names 😅😅😅. All of his friends said it was the best party ever, which is always nice to hear. I would recommend entertainment especially whilst the pizza’s are in the oven. We had face painting by Emily’s Entertainment, who we have used many times and have never let us down and honestly it was a good move. No one had time to be bored. Thank you so much to Ronnie and his wonderful team and to our patient, kind and hard working chef who looked after all of our small humans with such kindness. Thank you. Xxx

Came in this afternoon to have some quick lunch, from the moment I came in to the time I left the service was spectacular, my server was Marley, he was amazing and explained the PE app to me so well I’m on a mission to my Gold ring, as frequent PE customer I did not know about the rewards as well as today not only did his knowledge help but helps me save money on my rewards whenever me and my family dine here 😊😊 Thank you Marley

What great food and service! Dined here with my husband last Saturday evening and had a very enjoyable experience, we were served by Ela who was absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable. We had Lasagna with dough balls and Olives and it was superb! A really lovely restaurant with the best service ever…. We will most definitely be returning. Thank you Ela!

Great atmosphere and lovely food

We (group of 4) made a reservation. After over an hour of waiting for the reservation time, we were rudely turned away and told verbatim that it was invalid. No further explanation. I am a frequent customer at Pizza Express and did not expect this treatment. If you are looking to visit a Pizza Express in this area, do not visit the Dulwich Village branch. Go to the Brockwell Park one.

Our order was expected to be ready at 19:00. At 19:05 we went in and they couldn’t find our order. It wasn’t until 19:20 we got our order. The staff were friendly but were confused by our order via just eat.

Good pizzas but very expensive.

Pizza supposed to be remade after 20 minutes if driver has not arrived to collect the order. Pizza was not remade. Was cold and stale.

I ordered 2 pizza, only one came and when we called, the guy from the store claims they cannot see my order number which is odd cos they were able to dispense one pizza but not the other.

The usual Pizza Express experience food wise as they have got a very uniform thing going worldwide. Service at this particular restaurant really rather poor though. Cutlery thrown down in the middle of the table and dropped on us when collected. Bill brought to the table without being asked for which felt like we were required to leave, (at 9.45 pm). No offer of coffee or a final drink. All a bit soulless sadly.

Came to Dulwich pizza express yesterday for my daughters 3rd birthday. Ronnie the manager was so accommodating and was able to help cater for 17 kids plus adults. We had upstairs with a private area I was able to decorate and make it a special occasion. Malachi our waiter was so attentive and immensely helpful. Excellent service from the time of booking until we finished. Thank you to Ronnnie and your amazing staff for such high class hospitality. This is our go to location for Pizza express from now. Will definitely be back! Thanks a million Dulwich pizza express!

Reserved table for 6pm When arrived female member of stuff popped the question about our reservation And I've said table for 2 She pointed out 3 different directions and walked off We sat down and seen the same female member of stuff giving really bad look to another member of stuff when he was cleaning the table next to us (Like she didn't like him or what he was doing) I think clients should not see these things at all She looked angry at him and behaved like she didn't want to be there Food was OKish but slightly burned pizzas At almost £20 per pizza I was expecting it to be better than pizza GO GO which is just £10 for bigger and way much better pizza ... Well I was wrong When it came to paying the same angry woman came with a bill And few min later came back with a card reader... I'm 100 % sure that she's never said thank you Good bye or see you again In fact I've tapped my card and she left receipt and walked off Shocking.. This particular branch is amazing for a meal out with kids. All staff are always super helpful and friendly. I came last minute for dinner with my son and even though they were fully booked for Valentine’s Day they still squeezed us in and the food came so quickly. I must mention Marley, he was great. Excellent service all round.

Came in the other day and was immediately greeted at the door by Gabby who was incredibly friendly. Not only was she fantastic but the food was also great. We were also served by Marley. The service was excellent. 10/10 Will definitely be back. Very happy.

Went here for dinner with my boyfriend (neither of us had been to this branch before) and we had a great evening! Food was yum and service was great. Gabby (who I assume is manager) was very friendly and accommodating and recommended us her favourite dishes, which we both loved! Our waiter, whose name I believe to be Ella, was lovely too. Overall, very happy with my experience and we will definitely be returning!

Delivery drive attempted to deliver to the wrong address which is only round the corner, he spent 10 extra mins doing this, however what annoyed me the most the pizza came squashed to the side as the driver as the box the wrong way in his bag and not flat

My order took a long time to arrive, when it did finally arrive it somehow managed to arrive both burnt and freezing cold. The restaurant is around a 10 minute journey from my house, it was incredibly frustrating to have it arrive late then have it not even be warm upon arrival. Due to this I do feel I should be sent a refund for this order

I ordered a delivery and it was appaling. My pizza arrived cold and the chicken cesar had no dressing. When I rang up to complain I was fobbed off with excuses.

My visit to Pizza Express was beyond disappointing. The rudeness displayed by the waitress and her colleague when I asked about bringing my dog inside was appalling. I inquired about sitting outside, and they discussed it without bothering to update me, showing a complete lack of consideration. The cold response and indifference were not just unacceptable but left me thoroughly disappointed. Sadly, I won't be giving this place another chance. One star for an experience I'd rather forget.

Food arrived cold and the dough balls were burnt.

We flew to London for the NFL London Game and stayed in Dulwich. After the game we wanted something to eat and found what we were looking for near the hotel. The restaurant is cosy and has a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pizzas were delicious. The only thing that bothered us was the price. We thought it was a bit high. I have to say that we don't know the prices in England and of course the exchange rate makes a difference. Nevertheless, we would go back.

My older kept on being delayed then eventually called the restaurant and they said they were busy. So I still waited for my food and then it never ever got delivered. I'm disgusted at the service and my children miss their lunch!!!

Disappointing experience. It used to be a quite a family friendly restaurant but we were made to feel very uncomfortable with our 3 year old. The manager wanted us to order a takeaway rather than eat in and we ended up sitting outside to eat it. It seems like there’s been a change in manager. No colouring papers for kids anymore 😔 Such a shame for what used to be a nice family place.

The wrong order came and i asked the driver to take it back. I rang Pizza Express and they had realized they had sent the wrong order and when he arrived back would send the right one. The driver did not turn up. The restaurant rang me back and suggested that i order again to thank you get it to me before they closed and to ask for a refund for this order which i am now doing.

I was downstairs and caught the driver peeing in the car park bin area to our flats before handing over the food. Chicken was undercooked and pink and all the food was stone cold. Very very disappointed as I use this restaurant and chain often. I will definitely not be using delivery service again.

Last time I use JustEat to order from PizzaExpress Dulwich. Every order I place is late and I'm having to reheat everything. This time, I have a copy of the printout from the store which states pickup was to be at 1937, but it wasn't picked up by driver until 20 mins later. I've spoken to someone in store who informed me it had been sitting waiting to be collected for about 15 mins. The "driver" appeared to be cycling from Dulwich to Forest Hill. A 6 minute journey turned into almost 15 mins meaning my pizza was going cold for 30 mins almost. I've had enough!

I gave the service two stars due to the customer service being poor from a person I believe to be the manager older European women who always has a attitude when I attend, when I asked why she has an attitude she aggressively answered loud "well you try and work 60 hours and see if you won't have an attitude too, I told her If I had issues I would not bring them into work, so neither should she,other than that the food was great. I will not be attending that branch again!!

Took a large party to Dulwich Village branch last night. The team there could not have been more welcoming. The organisation was exemplary and the food delicious. A great time was had by all. Credit to Ella, Oliver and chef Jeya. We will definitely be back.

Pizza was terrible. The gluten free one wasn’t cooked and had almost no cheese on. The other was so thin it was crunchy like a crisp. We’ve had pizza express pizzas many times before and usually love them but these were terrible
