One of my favourite pubs in London. Great Neapolitan style pizza with rotating specials and the best pub quiz around! Staff always friendly

Emily is super helpful, she and her colleague took quite a bit of time helping me source a receipt that I desperately needed. Very appreciated. Pizzas are delicious and lovely atmosphere too.

We work near here and go around once a week. The pizzas are so delicious- everyone loves them - they have such a variety. My colleagues and I usually get the lunch size pizza which comes with a bunch of rocket leaves to make you feel a bit healthy. The lovely people who work there know us and know our orders which feels so special - like Cheers. My favourite is Siciliana, the anchovies are so deliciously salty. I also like Caprina and Fiorentina and I sometimes get the special if it is vegetarian. For meat-lovers there are also a lot of good options. Some of my colleagues get the American Hot.

Love this pub, they let you book the dartboard in advance if you call them, pizzas are very decent and the bar staff are very pleasant and friendly each time I've been there.

Very cool pub with loads of music memorabilia hung up on the walls. Darts game area too. Weird classic living room area at the back. It’s pretty dark inside and they do live music here. Can drink outside if you like. Service and prices ok. Atmosphere was dead on a Friday evening unfortunately.

the pub is okay but the pub quiz host is very rude and annoying - wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

Nice little cosy pub to have a few good ipas. They do good food as well. They have a copy of Bosco's the Garden of earthly delights, which is one of my favourite paintings, usually quiet on a Friday night

Excellent pub with top quality beers and soft drinks. The pizzas are also very well made and keenly priced. Darts too!

Wow--great wood fired pizza. Dough was perfect and chewy enjoyed an awesome pint of cider. Men playing darts next to us were delightful. Great homey neighborhood place!

Second visit to the Libertine and the food again was fabulous, lovely venue and staff are great. We will definitely be coming back soon.

Here for the pub quiz on 23rd Jan with a group of work friends. 2 of my friends and myself have been openly to the whole pub humiliated by the quizmaster (who was already nearly 30mins late) because we were having fun. She had been given us digs and insults the whole time and we did nothing wrong. We were quiet for the questions obviously for respect. Between questions we obviously spoke and laughed. We are actors and have never felt so uncomfortable in a pub quiz setting. Genuinely mortified and upset as I have bad anxiety and I want to leave and the quiz isn’t even halfway done. Ended up crying in the bathroom over the embarrassment goven from the host. 2 friends complained to which I was given some apology which I took just for the sake that I wanted to leave so badly but didn’t want to offend my friend who organised this night. Cheers Libertine for tonight…well…

The pub itself is perfectly fine, but whoever their pub quiz is the WORST. Like, have you ever hosted a quiz before?! I’m pretty telling people to sacrifice their enjoyment for listening skills is NOT THE POINT OF A PUB QUIZ. Shape up.

Great beer and wonderful home cooked pizzas.

Visited this hidden gem for lunch and had a great meal. Steaks were perfectly cooked and service was excellent. Amazing choices and I had scallops for a starter and really enjoyed. Has the wow factor once you get downstairs. we were not rushed and after the meal we went into the bar area for a few more drinks. Not the cheapest meal I have had but central London isn’t cheap. Overall I would recommend for any occasion

This is a great little find! Tuesday pub quiz night, a jol! Pizza 🍕 was devine!!! Really good vibe and Stella the Quiz Mistress is a “mastress”, such well thought out, diverse questions Mulled wine is good too, actually tastes like wine and not just sugar! (no I am just a paying customer but will definitely be making this one of my weekly visits)

I had a swift pint here at 5.45pm. The pub was full of people and there were two unoccupied tables that had been reserved by parties who hadn't bothered to show. I would have stayed longer if I could have found a seat. Service was swift and polite.

Great pub with a lovely atmosphere. Pizzas are great and lovely Hieronymus Bosch mural. Son and daughter of the management (I think) combo were absolutely brilliant service behind the bar.

Only heard about this place a week ago and thought I would pay a Sunday visit, to be fair i did not have a booking but it was no problem. You enter the Reception area upstairs at street level (beautifully decorated) and then go down to the 1st level where the bar and restaurant is located with large vaulted ceilings. It was nice and quiet as I prefer early lunch with low music in the background. The toilets are on a lower level and decorated just as lavish as the reception :-) The staff were excellent and after drinks were served the food arrived shortly after. I had the Chicken Roast which was very good, particular praise on the potatoes (had extra), cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets. Unfortunately I did not have room for the desert and will have to go back again to try :-) . All in all a great experience and look forward to going back.

Good neighbourhood pub with surprisingly good pizza. They have a cocktail menu but I recommend sticking to beer, I ordered an old fashioned and seemed like I was the first ever to do so!

After a long days training course Premier windows along with glass and glazing Federation went for a quick drink and a chat in this public house they made so welcome and served us with great pizzas so we all would definitely highly recommend this place

Great venue, good service, really good atmosphere just a real shame about the steaks that all 5 of us had! All were a little “chewy” ! Not what we expected and when told was kind of dismissed The talking point was the outstanding horseradish sauce! Top class but should’ve been the meal itself Sorry guys when you pay £45 for a medium rare steak I expect better

Diving into the first pub I came to, to shelter from the rain I found myself in this wonderful oasis. Excellent beer, perfect pizza, plump olives, 60s classics and lovely, friendly bar staff all in a very attractive pub. The Libertine is a boozer I shall definitely return to. Absolutely wonderful. As for the music, for someone about to turn 70, it was the music of my formative years. Fabulous

Positives first, the pub is in a great location, great vibe, good pizzas. Unfortunately the pub quiz wasn't a pleasurable experience, mostly due to the quiz host. As the pub was fully booked the noise was quite disrupting at times, but the way the host went about interacting with the patrons was uncomfortable and made us feel unwelcome and it didn't seem like she wanted to be there either to be honest. There's a way to deal with people being loud but she came across worse, rude, obnoxious and somewhat belittling. My friends and I felt like we were walking on eggshells with every interaction and we won't be coming back.

The bar staff and pizza were great, but the pub quiz host was truly unpleasant. Ive been to over a hundred pub quizzes in my life, and have never come across such a rude, obnoxious, abrasive host. Chatting away with a team that included her friends intermittently, belittling various teams for requesting a question be repeated, not specifying certain answers and then not giving points when wrong or partial answer was given (i.e. One round had a theme which we had to guess, the theme was actors, or acting families, but the only acceptable answer was acting dynasties -.-) Its all supposed to be a bit of fun and games after work, and I found the whole experience very stressful, as did both tables next to me. Suffice it to say, I will not be returning despite it being a nice pub and great food.

Our company recently held a staff social event using the bar/room upstairs... the Team were excellent and very friendly. Prices were very reasonable I wouldn't hesitate to use the Libertine again - in fact, we are already thinking about our next 'staff social' and the Libertine will definitely form part of our plans.

Great friendly social atmosphere. Old style pub with a young crowd. Serves great pizzas lunchtimes and evenings. Eccentric decor with rock and roll pictures. Crest beers and a cypher of real ales usually in good condition.

Dog friendly! Quiet pub and their pizzas are great! Sourdough pizzas with good toppings. The diavlo with the nduja sausage is so good! The bacon and goat cheese one is also recommended. Reasonably priced.

If a pub does food, it should choose one dish and do it really well. The best pizza for miles! Friendly laid-back venue with a good range of drinks on tap, and a dartboard. Popular with local as well as post-work crowd. Pizza available for takeaway as well as eat-in

Called in for a couple of pints , good selection of drinks , I had Beavertown gammer ray , good pint 🍺 . Busy pub but good atmosphere with background music playing. Nicely decorated and clean. Will definitely be visiting again 👍🍺

Great soundtrack, great atmosphere, great staff and great games. Incredibly well located, close to both Borough and London Bridge Station. We go there after parents evening for some dinner and drinks, Isaiah & Amandine were lovely - incredibly friendly. 100% thumbs up for customer service. Thank you!

Great venue. Large bar area. Plenty of seating. Good range of reasonably priced beers and lagers. Well placed dart board. Pizza's available to soak up the beers. Close to the city, London Bridge, The Borough underground stations within walking distance. Great friendly service from " Joe " even when under pressure. City pub with " local " charm and prices.

Went with a group profile about 80 people for a pre-event drink. We pre booked and all was good - call to confirm on the day - all good. The staff were friendly but it's a 2 star because at about 8pm they said its wine or beer only as they had run out of glasses (seriously?) and then last orders were at 9pm. I just dont get it. You have 80 people (probably more as locals were in too) inside drinking away - PACKED IN - and you decided to reduce and then stop taking drinks orders? It literally doesn't make sense.

Lovely little pub near Borough, South London. Was really chilled and as a woman on her own, I felt completely at ease in there. Drinks were well priced and the barman was lovely, kindly helping me with directions . I would definitely go again if I was I the area

Very friendly staff, nice well-lit interior, reasonably priced drinks (£5.40 for Heineken, £4.50 for a pint of ale, £5 for medium red red wine). The pizzas were also surprisingly nice and I'd defintely return for them. Also a great price at £8 for a margherita. Great soundtrack and atmosphere too. Can't fault it!

Good, lively, pub on Great Suffolk Street. Three cask ales on tap when I visited. Extensive pizza menu including vegetarian and vegan options. Space for standing on the pavement outside. Occasional live music performances.
