The best restaurants in Lewisham London

Can see the shop has closed down...and aren't paying baristas who worked for them. Poor form.

Met up some old friends there for a drink and chat. We didn't eat. It wasn't brilliant, but it was okay. Comfortable. The layout is as it is a bar, and then there is a function hall at the back. It's a bit like an extension. Could do with a lick of paint 🎨 and sprucing up into 2025! Where's Gordon Ramsey when you need him?👀 😅

Brought my mum here for a Mother’s Day meal. Excellent service from the staff; my mum hasn’t stopped talking about the sweet chilli sauce, she loved it! Sweet and sour chicken with special fried rice was perfect. We will definitely be back!

We have been ordering takeaways almost weekly from here for over a year and have given stronger reviews previously. Yesterday we noticed one of the curry recipes had changed or maybe it was a different chef, but most dishes tasted the same as normal which we enjoyed. Apart from the chicken tikka we ordered arrived as lamb - the meat was tough and chewy which was disappointing 1) because we didn't order it, and 2) because the alternative was not pleasant to eat. The Fat Walrus made our joint 21st birthday a total joy - we booked the back area for a group and had a night of affordable drinks, lovely pizza, Prosecco, and brilliant live music to boot! Paul and the staff were so accommodating and welcoming and put up with our singing and dancing all night, making it a really memorable one! Thank you to the Fat Walrus team and looking forward to being back soon 🥰🥰

Great masala dosa for an incredible price, with a great smile. Tried the next door south Indian dosa too but the price was more expensive and I didn't like it as much as I like the one from this shop. I would highly recommend here to everyone in the area.

I’ve enjoyed ordering from Hibagon for years, but tonight’s delivery was very poor. Chicken bento arrived stone cold and the meat was tough and inedible, served with an insipid watery sauce. This place used to be our go-to but it was a waste of £50. Won’t bother again.

Breakfast bagel was amazing. Great music and trendy decor. They allow dogs too which is a massive bonus to us. Always looking for good spots around here as our daughter lives nearby. This place is a gem and we’ll be back on our next London trip

Mi hermana ha estado viniendo a este gran café durante 24 años y me presentó a Sam y sus hermanos. Fantásticas porciones, comidas muy calientes y sabrosas. Una gran variedad de menú. Personal muy amable y acogedor. Gran lugar para comer a cualquier hora del día. Recomendamos los asados dominicales, y el pastel y el puré.

Estoy comentando con respecto al servicio de comida para llevar. Tristemente, este lugar está empeorando. Es un éxito o un fracaso en lo que obtienes cuando pides una comida para llevar. Siempre ordeno el Lamb Shish. En cada ocasión, he añadido una nota para decir que quería patatas fritas en lugar de arroz. En tres ocasiones, esto fue ignorado. Una comida que recibí estaba completamente equivocada y fría, a lo que lo achacaron a Just Eat. Me he quejado otras veces, pero todo lo que dicen es que están demasiado ocupados para mirar las notas. En las últimas tres veces que he pedido, les he llamado para asegurarme de que sabían que quería CHIPS. En las últimas tres veces, las virutas se han recalentado y empapado. La de esta noche no fue la excepción. Aparte de eso tenían frío. Mi pedido de esta noche nunca vino con salsas esta noche. Traté de llamarlos pero nadie respondió. El Kebab cuando hacen el pedido bien, cuando todo está ahí, cuando está caliente y las patatas fritas no se recalientan es muy agradable, pero por desgracia es solo suerte de olla lo que obtienes. He sido cliente durante mucho tiempo y les he dado muchas oportunidades, pero ya es suficiente. La calidad es simplemente basura ahora y no vale la pena el dinero. No son consistentes. Voy a probar nuevos lugares ahora para mi Kebas.

¡Uno de los más deliciosos cafés descafeinados y desayunos vegetales que he tenido! La salchicha casera era especialmente sabrosa y se sentía muy saludable.

En todo el tiempo que hemos estado comiendo aquí nunca hemos tenido más que una comida maravillosa y un excelente servicio. Ubicado en la antigua biblioteca también es un lugar memorable y todo el mundo a quien se lo he recomendado también ha hablado de la comida y dijo que sin duda volverían.
