A great pub with friendly staff, decent drinks and food. Highly recommend!

One of the staff members was so incredibly rude to me. After a really stressful day I went here to have a drink and accidentally ordered a cider twice. I was spoken down to and made to feel like an idiot. I even offered to pay for the second drink since I was made to feel so bad. This place was my local but I don’t think I will ever feel comfortable to come back. I understand being frustrated but it’s just not acceptable to speak to customers that way.

Both our appetizer and entree were burnt. It managed to be undercooked yet overcooked at the same time. Service seemed rushed. The server came up to us and told us they didn’t have two items, then proceeded to mention six. The tables were also dirty.

If i could rate 0 stars i would. I came with a friend on a Friday evening and at first it was a pleasant experience, until the waitresses started to make us feel uncomfortable and make huge hints for us to leave. We had just finished with our drinks and we kept getting asked if we wanted the bill… we said no as we wanted to stay longer and the shop didn’t close until 10pm (is was 9:15 at this point). The waitress still came back seconds later with a card machine. We said we just said we are okay and she left and then came back AGAIN seconds later. She said this time, we HAD to pay anyways. We were so confused as we hadn’t even received a receipt or anything stating how much we are even paying. We felt so uncomfortable so we payed there and then and then left. But the whole experience was horrible. I still haven’t received my receipt (had to ask them again before we left for it and they said they’d send it via email). It felt racially coded and was very upsetting. We just wanted a lovely evening out. Definitely not recommending this place to anyone.

El personal muy amable inmediatamente nos ofrecieron una copa y nos dieron nuestros menús. Poco después de la orden (a tan sólo 10 o 15 minutos!) nos obsequiaron con algunas increíblemente deliciosas hamburguesas. Buena música, bonito patio interior, comida excelente y personal: no se podía pedir más.

We visited over the weekend with the family and the waitress Bell was very rude, I asked three times to place an order and the food was great but by the time she delivered it was cold. Last time we visited it was fantastic so it shows how much a poor waitress can ruin the experience

First time ordering from this place. We ordered over Deliveroo and their service was quick and food was well packed. I had Doro, dulet, quanta firfir and kitfo. The dulet and kitfo were top! So delicious. The doro was also good! The only ones I didn’t enjoy as much as I wanted to was the quanta firfir (it had a bit watery/ soaked enjera fitfit taste and maybe needed more seasoning / berbere I think) it wasn’t my personal favourite and I don’t think I’d order it again. That’s not to take away from the rest and the generous portions. I’d recommend to try the rest, especially the kitfo and dulet! Edit: after ordering a few more times their food were almost always consistent so still deserves 5+ stars. I’d say whenever ordering tibs/ kitfo at any habesha / Ethiopian restaurant, they provide a dip-/ spice to dip your meat in and always ask them w my order when ordering online (I’ve done a few times/3+ times already) and it’s a hit and miss to get the dips. Would be nice if they always do as it’s common to have the meat w Ethiopian spicey/ chilli powder when having the tibs / kitfo.

Dropped by for a bacon and sandwich roll, lovely food at reasonable price, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

Desayuno “salado” típico inglés. Local mesas pequeñas pero íbamos 8 personas y estuvimos bien. Atentos con los niños. El personal muy atento y amable. 10 libras por persona aproximadamente.

Darren fue un gran anfitrión que nos mantuvo entretenidos y nos hizo sentir bienvenidos, sin duda hizo mi cumpleaños y Elise era una camarera encantadora🤍

Popped in for a coffee, snack and look at their Lonely Planet wide range of travel books. Great coffee, decor rather spartan but a welcome alternative to formula cafés around Waterloo. Post lockdown I’ll be going back more.

Vine con dos amigos en una noche en que el maravilloso Arfa estaba cocinando. La comida era absolutamente deliciosa y Arfa era encantador, amable y divertido. El ambiente cálido y agradable de siempre. No podría recomendar más.

Recientemente pedimos una comida para llevar de Dem’s y fue absolutamente fantástico! De principio a fin, la experiencia fue perfecta. El personal fue amable y atento al tomar nuestro pedido, asegurando que todo era correcto. La comida era fresca, sabrosa. Los kebabs a la parrilla eran tiernos y jugosos, y las porciones eran generosas. Mención especial al pan casero — era cálido, suave y un complemento perfecto para la comida. Está claro que Dem’s se enorgullece de sus ingredientes y preparación. Somos muy afortunados de tener una joya de un restaurante en nuestra zona. Muy recomendable para cualquiera que quiera cocina turca de alta calidad!
