April 2024 edit: Every time I go, I fall in love with this place. So I checked with some colleagues in Thailand, and they confirmed that what they saw on the menu and the photos I sent them are as authentic as possible abroad. Vibe is cosy and tranquil, and service is great. I'm so glad it is located in Tulse Hill close to home. Definitely worth the trip from wherever in London.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is always fantastic yet affordable and staff are attentive and friendly. My partner and I have been going here for years and it’s always a lovely experience. Also lots of veggie options if needed.

A well decorated restaurant with authentic Pad Thai and yellow curry. Taro roll with sticky room was served hot in very delicious taste. You get free spicy prawn crackers if you tag them in IG or FB. Staff are very friendly. Tidy and clean. Good atmosphere. I got 10% off as I paid cash.

Great service and delicious food. The place is actually quite big with "hidden tables at the back. Love the relaxed atmosphere. We had a hard time choosing, meaning more visits will be needed!

Really, really nice place. Delicious homemade food, charming decor with an eye for detail, and the waiting staff is friendly but professional. Luckily we booked in advance (on a Tuesday) as the place filled up quickly towards 7.30pm. Special offers available on different days. I'll be going back!

Got takeaway, most impressed with the quality! They even used the right type of rice noodles. We had the pad thai and it was just the right amount of sweet and salty. I want to try the red and green curries next! I ordered online for the 10% discount for pick up, and food was ready by the time we drove down in 5-7 mins. Staff were friendly, and I wouldn't hesitate to order again or eat in! Bringing my kids!!

Disappointing takeaway after previous excellent experiences eating in the restaurant. The Mussaman curry was so hot/spicy that it was almost inedible. Is there a new chef? It’s never been this spicy before. Our servings were also more sauce than meat/veg and the quality of the chicken seems to have gone downhill. It’s put me off going to the restaurant again

Very lovely people and great service and food! Lamb shank was so juicy and tender it fell off the bone. Really good atmosphere and fresh genuine and authentic. Our waitress was very attentive and came quick with our starters and drinks. Food was bursting with flavours!

We had high hopes for this restaurant based on the reviews but it was a different experience for us. The restaurant was empty when we arrived & still we had to wait for 3 minutes for somebody ro come and greet us. The member of staff at the till was watching us while speaking calmly on the phone. We arrived at 2:10 pm on a Saturday knowing that they were about to close at 3:00 pm. So we decided our orders quickly but again the staff were so slow to take our orders or to even bring us tap water / cutlery. The food was nothing particular. The noodles in my pad Thai were more like a very over-cooked pasta and gave me stomache pain later. All in all, I'm very surprised at the reviews - maybe we went on a bad day.

One of the best, most authentic, and most delicious Thai restaurants I have ever experienced outside of Thailand. Pleasant service, good ambience, highly recommended the soft shell crab and the Thai milk tea. The dishes use authentic ingredients like Galangal, Lemongrass and Thai Yellow Pepper, for flavours that are truly difficult to find elsewhere in UK. Nicely balanced, and not too sweet like in some Thai eateries elsewhere. Loads of vegetarian options. Pay in cash to get a small discount. Favourite Thai place in London! We are regulars here (both eat in and takeaway). You *have* to try the Coconut Braised Beef. Genuinely one of my favourite dishes ever - salty, sweet, tangy and spicy all in the right proportions.

The place is a bit expensive but the food is amazing. There are not much restaurants like Siam Niyom in this area so it is very convenient for dates in walking distance.

Amazing food and so full of flavour. Great range of drinks, including local craft beers. Presentation was lovely and staff were so friendly. The garden is gorgeous and a very nice place to sit and eat on a warm evening.

This place could rival heaven. The aroma that came from here was enticing the decor was awesome, but the food oh the food was bleeping sensational they got a peanut sauce here a they could bottle and put on everything and anything. sorry those of you with nut allergies. I highly recommend a visit but save you self you have a belly busting treat

Such a little hidden gem. I had a beautiful pork dish with a nice kick to it, the food was fresh and cooked really nicely! The choice of drinks especially the G&T was such a treat also. Very delicious mine as I had fresh ginger in it if anyone is interested in knowing the options. The staff were friendly and accommodating, didn't have a booking and we also were able to sit outside at the back while the sun was still out. Real nice, and right by Tulse Hill station which has lots of good connections when traveling from certain areas! Solid A***** LDT x

My first time here on Saturday night and I was NOT disappointed at all. The food was great with such friendly service to match. Authentic flavours as the the cooks were Thai so that's always a good sign. The decor of the restaurant is lovely and a very good atmosphere. Highly recommended and I will be back when I am around the area!

I ordered a vegan green curry for delivery and what arrived was quite a disappointment considering the price. The ratio of curry sauce to vegetables/tofu was way too high. There were probably 5 bits of tofu in there. The selection of vegetables did not lend a pleasant texture... it was mostly bamboo shoots, lotus root, and turkey berries (pea aubergines). Furthermore, the curry sauce itself was very mild and boring. Not worth £13.85.

It was a great atmosphere. Great food and the music too. Plenty laughs a buzz to the atmosphere. Friendly staff. A place that I can recommended. Loved the modern decor. Never thought to find such a place in West Norwood. But I have.

I never thought that we would leave with a £50 pp bill, but we did. I blame the enticing menu, of which I needed considerable help from the waiter to decide. The curried sea bass was extremely good, so good it will warrant a second visit. However, across all the dishes, portion sizes were disappointing, and not something you expect when heading to a Thai restaurant. It's the reason we ended up buying dessert, and it was eventually the reason I ended up buying some extra food in the Co-op opposite to snack on after. So, some impressive, new cookery, which was fun to experience, but it's not great value it must be said. You have been warned, but try the curried sea bass as a treat if you can.

No response for delivery riders No respect ,nothing Waste of time ⏲️ They ignore if you still visible to them Have to wait 10-30min for single order If you guys don't know ,how to manage delivery, then shut down you delivery machine , why you guys want to waste and ignore delivery drivers

Been living in West Norwood for over a year but went there for the first time only this week. Wished I had been there before. I tasted new flavours for the first time in ages. The good looks and tastes so authentic, nothing like the usual Thai street food found in some of London's markets. Customer service is great too. Love this place!

So I just want to start off by saying the staff were lovely and friendly, and the decor/ambience was great. We travelled specifically to Tulse Hill to try this place out so had high hopes from the great reviews. I don't know if we just got unlucky with the chef, or this was down to what we chose, but we unfortunately left feeling rather disappointed. We ordered the Salt and Pepper fish as a starter, which was overwhelmingly fishy tasting and not that nice. Then for the main I ordered the "signature" Phuket chicken. This was incredibly dry and tasteless, and came with no vegetables, and was a huge let down. My friend ordered the Pineapple rice which they reported was just "OK".

First time at this lovely Thai restaurant and I cannot highly recommend enough, the food was very nice and the staff were really nice and friendly. It's been a long time since I've had such great friendly service. I had starters, main and dessert and all was so good. I cannot wait to come back and try other food on the menu.

I've had two takeaways from Siam Niyom now and each time has been absolutely AMAZING! I've had the braised beef coconut curry and the Tom Kha soup now and both w reeunreal. My partner had duck and chicken wings and was in heaven. Can't wait to actually sit down for a meal inside the restaurant.

Am honestly appalled by the quality of food . An absolute rip off for the price. I ordered a chicken pad kee mao which literally contained 3 small pieces of chicken and was flavorless. I would avoid this place unless you liked being ripped off

This is a gem that needs to be visited. The service is amazing - attentive and friendly. The food is made from the most fresh materials and taste amazing!!! I have not had such a fresh Pad Thai!!! The beef salad was also amazing - just to pick a few. A large selection of GT’s to start your dinner… Stop by Siam, wind down and enjoy!

Probably the most disappointing Thai meal I have ever had! Firstly they gave the wrong address to the delivery driver and after several calls with the driver and restaurant the food FINALLY turned up. The food was tepid and tasteless, I would not recommend anyone ordering any food from this restaurant! Waste of time and money!

We had a duck curry here and it was horrendous. I emailed to explain about the tiny grey chewy pieces of 'meat' and they ignored it. When I followed up they replied and offered to refund it. Then nothing. I chased up a few more times and they again said they would refund. It has now been 3 weeks of radio silence and multiple emails from me. Such a waste of my time

Unfortunately, we received a cold and aloof reception from the older Thai waitress/owners. I did feel that we were treated as second rate, (black) customers, undeserving of a descent service. The chicken served was definitely old and stale so worried about getting sick. Portion sizes were enough for children but not grown adults. Ambiance was lovely. However, wld not recommend this place, nor will I be bringing my family back.

I came here because of the relatively high ratings of this restaurant, but it really disappointed me. I entered this restaurant during dinner time with my friends that day. Everything was good when ordering, but the delivery speed was really slow! ! ! The papaya salad and fried squid we ordered took an hour to arrive, not to mention the main food. The customers who ordered after us all ate the main food. Our pre-dinner salad was not served. Is the back chef growing papaya? I don't know how to make a salad for an hour, and then I will talk about the taste of this food. It is completely different from what I eat in Thailand. I know that the taste of the dish may have been improved due to regional reasons, but if you want to eat very traditional food. You can give up this restaurant.

Exemplary food and outstanding customer service. I've been to this place twice - once was a dinner for two and the second time I had the whole restaurant, so I feel like I've been on the full spectrum with this place. Absolutely no complaints from any of my guests about the food. Great atmosphere and the manager and staff go above and beyond!
