Sticky Mango in Lambeth

I had the mango salad and black cod with a side of broccoli. The black cod was very tasty but it was tiny consisting of 2 extremely small pieces of cod. Didn’t feel like a £36 main. I came home and had to eat again, which defeats the object of eating out. I had a margarita cocktail which was very nice though.

We came for lunch, but unfortunately, it wasn't great. The mixed Asian fusion flavours didn't hit the mark. Honestly, you're better off going to Wagamama, which is much cheaper and offers better quality. Between the three of us, we shared the chicken and prawn spring rolls (felt like frozen spring rolls from the supermarket), chicken satay (the flavour was off but we couldn't quite pinpoint it), crab and pomelo salad (there was very little crab and it was mostly noodles and it completely lacked flavour), lobster pad Thai (decent portion of lobster but the flavour was not right), the miso cod (fish was nice but the flavour again not there), side of potatoes (probably the best thing we had) and the sticky mango rice (the mango and sorbet were nice but the rice was mushy and it didn't taste good). The service was polite and efficient. Overall I felt like they focused too much on the presentation of the food, rather than the taste.

Pleasant atmosphere and good linch menu

I was excited to visit this restaurant as the reviews are glowing. When you enter the street level, you would think that the place is empty, as the nearby streets aren’t very lively and they place all their patrons on the first floor. The first floor is beautiful and very insta worthy, with lovely decor. This floor was buzzing with many couples on dates. We were quickly shown to our table and given menus. We had visited on a Fri late evening and even though the place was packed there were only 2 waiting staff. We selected our dishes and had to call for someone after half an hour of nobody attending to us. Once our order was taken our food arrived before any drinks or even water. The bar seemed to not have many of the items on the menu, so the waiter had to keep returning and asking us to selected something else which was disappointing. The food was mostly good. Our favourites were the truffle rice, which was a nice fusion twist on a normal fried rice and the tuna tatami rolls. What was really bad, was the one scallop hidden beneath a sea of sauces. It was the size of a 10p coin and overcooked. I was shocked to only receive one measly scallop for £10! Even the table beside us were astonished that one tiny scallop could be served at that price. The waiter failed to inform us that it could not be shared, given we had told them that we were ordering to share. The cocktails were both delicious. The dessert was ok, more of a showcase than actually tasty and it was way too sweet with the added candy floss melted and condensed milk. The service was abismal. We had to call the staff to remind them of our drinks order. Some food arrived cold, as it was just sitting on the tray waiting to be given to our table and we again had to ask for a dessert me uf then to take our orders. Only to find that when we left the restaurant most of the staff were just hanging near the bar counter chatting away. I won’t be returning.

Great food, friendly staff, bit slow service but great restaurant overall

Wow, what amazing tasty food, the vegan options were superb. The waiter was very good too, all together made it a memorable visit and one to be repeated.

Booked this annually for team away day and never disappointed. Orchard room and terrace is beautiful and perfect for a planning day. Food is exceptional and the platinum package alongside service is truly worth the money. We will be back next year

Excellent cuisine - especially the Tom Ka soup - and attentive, friendly service . Fantastic riverside setting at Tower Bridge and elegant decor, and the team were extremely helpful in allowing one of us to stay late and wait for a function boat to return. Parked in Q-Park just 2 minutes behind. (No street parking possible any closer to the wharf than that, FYI!) Stunning views in a very decent corner of London.

The vegetarian dishes hardly have any protein. Why not serve a healthy tofu dish or plant based chicken or plant based meat tossed in some Asian curry? I am from that part of the world and the vegetarian masaman, rendang, green curry, curry ayam all have tofu and/or plant based meat. Have given feedback numerous times but seems like the menu hasn't changed. Not returning ever again.

Pricey, nice spot, fairly comfy, decent service, ok food. Nothing special, but the expensive priced menu made me feel I wouldn't be back or recommend a friend to go there. By the way, I had the lobster, spring rolls and Côte de Gascón. All decent but not particularly anything I'll remember..

The food was delicious, fresh and well prepared, so many details on each dish of delicate flavours and presentation. Service was very good. The basement area is too dark and not as appealing as the bright upstairs so that affects my rating for the atmosphere.

I booked a table for a birthday meal - paid in advance for a set menu including service fee and alerted the staff in advance via email of a friend with a nut allergy. Sadly, on the day we were met with poor service. The person serving us had a very poor attitude from the moment we arrived, on multiple occasions staff forgot to bring drinks that had been ordered, my friend with a NUT ALLERGY was served food with nuts even after reminding staff at the time of ordering of her allergy and the food in general was extremely mediocre for a £50 menu. When it came to the time of paying the remainder of the bill multiple items had been added in error and had to be removed from the bill.

Food here is hit and miss. I have been here twice. First time food was not great. Second time round I ordered the same food and it was very good! Both of the times I went were on a Wednesday lunchtime but on different weeks. Service could be better. Service is a bit slow and lack of enthusiasm from some of waiters/waitresses. Menu is ok. Not a big selection. Atmosphere is ok. Can get very busy and noisy as it's a small restaurant. Looks like they try to cram as many people on as possible so it's a tight squeeze to get to that tables. Would I eat here again - only of someone pays for my meal otherwise no.

First time visiting here on Monday with 2 friends and I loved this place. The interior is well designed, well kept and clean. However the real highlight was being served by Serena who was awesome. She was friendly, helpful, attentive yet also had to serve several other tables which were busy for a Monday night. We had the tasting menu and everything was cooked really well - the prawns, the chicken, fish and mango dessert. Definitely worth a visit and will return at some point

Dinner at Sticky Mango Waterloo on a weekday evening was delightful. Thoroughly enjoyed their chicken curry puff for starter, followed by truffle egg fried rice (unique dish) with sea bass and lamb shank in main course. The ginger beer was quite refreshing. Not to forget their beautiful decor which gives Asian vibe.

Celebrated my 60th birthday here with family and friends. Had the set menu. Service and food was great. All had a lovely time and enjoyed ourselves.

We remembered when this was RSJ's and went back for memory lane sake. Very welcoming staff, but very undertrained - items forgotten, slow service. We were in a subterranean space, very crowded and very drafty and cold. practically sitting at another couple's table, hearing their spats and having to endure dodgy table manners. Some lovely flavours, but a crab and noodle salad was so bland; really delicious biodynamic wine. Would not rush back.

Some staff were definitely friendlier than others, portions of food were small as expected after reading other reviews, but good grief was service slow! Must have been well over half an hour between courses with noone clearing the table for most of that. Food wasn't hot by the time it came up and the food was very mildly flavoured with no flavours really standing out. I must say the presentation of the food was absolutely beautiful as was the decor, it's very much a visual place. Male toilet had one of two sinks out of order with facial hair trimmings around the basin and paper towel all over the floor. For the same money (£65 per head for two courses, a drink and a couple of sides to share) there's much better out there.

We enjoyed the delicious 9 Flavour Tasting Menu and I cant fault it. Having lived in Asia for many years I know what authentic Asian flavours should be and all the dishes were excellent. The staff were lovely and the service was great. A member of our group could not eat fish or seafood and there was no problem with replacing these dishes. We will definitely return.

Don’t be catfished by the false reviews and beautiful menu pictures. My daughter and I were looking for something new for dinner. We arrived without reservations and were seated quickly. From there everything went askew. We waited nearly 10 minutes for a menu. The server then took our order for drinks, appetizers, and main courses. After another 10 minutes we had to ask four our drinks and water. Before our drinks arrived, and after a nearly 35 minute wait all of our food arrived. Everything looked beautiful, the taste was another story. The duck fried rice was bland, dry and the duck was almost jerky. The pork Belly had no flavor or spice. The pork belly was dry. That was actually the most impressive part of dinner. I’m still not sure how they were able to make a rich, fatty moist cut of pork dry, they did however. This is a must skip on and night out.

Dirty place. Cold food that took a long time to come. Friendly staff but ultimately would avoid this place.

The lunch menu appeared to be good value with 2 or 3 courses. After a long wait, we ordered the first 2 courses, rather good spiced prawns and pineapple and an average mango salad. Next courses were salmon , again average and cauliflower , quite decent. So far so good. Then the waiter disappeared. We waited. The other guests left and we were alone with one person clearing up and ignoring us. Eventually we approached him for a dessert. He seemed blindsided by the question and eventually came up with the standard menu, not the lunch offer. He refused to offer us the lunch menu options say that the previous waiter had signed off with our bill based on 2 courses (presumably to reserve here service charge) . We asked to see the manager and eventually were granted access to the correct menu. But no apology as if it was our fault. Shame as the desserts were really good! We left without anyone around to say goodbye let alone perhaps offer comments. They need to up training and service levels to thrive.

A few minutes' walk from The Tower Bridge, the venue is just at the bank of the Thames River. Expensive - yet no surprise given the location. Food did not make throw us to our knees, moderate quality of Vegan Pad Thai. The place was empty at the lunch time hence difficult to evaluate the atmosphere - it looks OK from the design perspective though.

Left feeling a little underwhelmed. Food was good but not amazing. Staff were also not very attentive. The lamb shank was very good. Probably won’t return which is a shame.

Quite simply one of the best meals and experiences I have ever had. Initially running late for my reservation, I made it on time and was warmly welcomed. The restaurant was busy and the staff were in their element, in what appeared to be a well oiled engine running at high rpm. I ordered the chicken puffs and spicy ribs. Neither disappointed and were delivered after a short wait - but were well worth it. I associate ribs with sticky sweet sauce, but these were not too sweet and tasted of soy and tamarind and were easily the most more-some ribs I have ever tasted. The chicken puffs were light and delicious too. For main course, the BBQ chicken which had a light spice and tasted incredible but as good as it was, the chicken was overshadowed by the lamb shank in masaman curry, which was so wonderfully scented, and every single flavour could be picked out. As sides, jasmine rice and long stemmed broccoli which added some side flavours to the meal. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate macaron which arrived with coffee ice cream, and ginger sponge pudding. Unfortunately a mix up by the waiter meant that the sticky mango pudding with black rice arrived first, which was to my table’s benefit! All three desserts were absolutely worth staying for and rounded off an incredible visit. Fantastic food. Perhaps amongst the best I’ve had, with wonderful staff and a busy, yet relaxed atmosphere. I’ve found my new favourite restaurant in London. If I were to improve one thing - I think the food could be a little warmer on arrival. Perhaps warmer serving dishes?

I booked Sticky Mango for a surprise 30th birthday lunch for my husband and a group of friends. Their Event Manager, Fran, helped me to book one of their private dining rooms to make the experience a bit more special and the whole booking process was seamless. On the day, our server, Imma, was a delight and the service we received was impeccable. The group ate from both their normal group dining menu as well as the vegan menu. All the food was divine and quite different from the usual menu items you find at other Asian restaurants. One thing I will say is the restaurant could probably do with a bit of touching up but it's still a lovely place. I'd definitely recommend for any occasion!

We are here on a Monday evening in February. We were sat upstairs in the ‘blossom’ room and there was a real buzz. Waiter super friendly and the whole atmosphere was lovely. Good did come quite quickly which made for a short dinner but everything from my glass of Prosecco to the jasmine rice was just lovely. The curried chicken puffs lived up to the reviews we’d seen, we found the satay to be very tasty and also really enjoyed the nam rolls. We went for a selection of small dishes and enjoyed it all. Would recommend.

Very cozy place with very attentive staff! I went here for lunch and had the vegetarian Pad Thai, which was okay, but not comparable to an original Pad Thai. That was a bit of a disappointment because I was expecting Pad Thai. Maybe other dishes are more authentic but I didn’t have the chance to try. I would certainly come back and give it another chance as the restaurant in general seems great!

Lunch today at Stick Mango Waterloo. Had a chilli allergy and staff were amazing and accommodating. The chef even came up and spoke to us about how the food was prepared. Food was excellent. Would definitely go again.

A quirky little Asian restaurant very close to Waterloo Station, less than 10 minutes walk away. A very pleasant meal although it is a slightly odd menu with dishes from all over Asia rather than any specific country. Could have done with a few more curry variations, Thai or otherwise. The chicken curry puffs as a starter were delicious, as were the black pepper prawns and the chicken satay, the mains weren't quite as memorable. The service was super-friendly and charming, however as is often the case in places like this, the food arrived incredibly quickly and we had finished our meal in what felt like a bit of a rush, would have liked a little more time in between first and main courses. Otherwise very good.

South-east Asian food from an interesting menu and a good wine & drinks list. The atmosphere at lunchtime on Sunday was perfect: a colourful dining room but a calm clientele. Nice service. Recommended.

Food lacked flavor, there is no Thai chefs or staff. The BBQ Chicken was dry. And when I asked if the server if the bartender knew how to make a good Whiskey Old Fashioned, she said she'd ask, but sometimes the bartender lies about knowing how to make drinks. The reviews on the restaurant were 4 stars, how do you get that score? The place was cute, but the food was unremarkable and it was not cheap £85. Sad, it has a good location and could be a new gem, but it needs a serious owner / chef, who knows real Thai cuisine.

Service and the ambience were great! While the food was lovely for the most part, I didn’t think the price was worth it for the food we ate. The black pepper prawns were the only favorite, while the others were good but not noteworthy.

Our meal at Sticky Mango in Waterloo was quite enjoyable. The meal had its high points, especially with dishes like the Indonesian Style Sea Bass and the Malaysian Chicken Curry Puffs, both of which were delightfully tasty and well-prepared. While some of the other dishes didn't stand out as much, they were still enjoyable. Our seating in the basement area, however, didn't live up to our expectations in terms of ambiance, giving off a somewhat restricted feel. Also, the pricing seemed a bit steep compared to similar establishments.

Booked for 3 people and we had a fabulous pre-theatre experience tonight. I was worried it might not be enough for my big appetite when it first arrived but then the flavours were amazing and after the desert I was perfectly satisfied. We had the Mango salad, pad thai, cauiflower thai curry and the bombay potatoes. I would 100% suggest the desert too. I had the mango and sticky rice pudding. The staff are so lovely and the food was phenomenal. The decor was beautiful too. Would highly recommend visiting with friends or for a date. The blossom tree was beautiful.

We had a delightful dining experience this evening at Sticky Mango, greatly enhanced by the charming hospitality of our host, Deep. It was our first visit, and Deep expertly guided us through the menu. He recommended starting with the chicken satay and chicken curry puffs, which were absolutely stunning. The pork belly that followed was heavenly, and to top it all off, the chocolate pebble beach mousse was simply sublime—a culinary masterpiece worthy of a chef’s kiss. Will be returning!

This is a wonderful place for a new take on Asian food. The Chicken Curry puffs are a must! We also enjoyed the Truffle Fried Rice and the Crispy potatoes. The service was excellent! Deep went out of his way and was incredibly accommodating and hospitable. Would eat here again!

The food is alright. Some good some not. The pepper prawns were delicious but Chicken satay was salty. Truffle rice had no truffle flavor. The sticky mango is instagramable and tastes good. Overall too pricey for small portions.

Great innovative menu with some real taste sensations within easy walking distance of the south bank venues

I truly believe this is the best restaurant I’ve eaten at in London!! I tried to tasting menu and they were kind enough to substitute the brusselsprouts course for the broccoli. For £50, it is a great value. I started with the Malaysian curry puff, black pepper shrimp, and papaya salad. The curry puff was beyond incredible - as was the shrimp. I typically don’t care for papaya salad due to the fish sauce flavor, yet this one was light and delicious. Then I had broccoli cooked in oyster sauce with mushrooms and water chestnuts and monkfish in chili oil with bok choi. Both outstanding. Normally, it comes with salmon, but they were running low. I was happy to try the monkfish instead. Lastly, I had duck leg with cilantro, chili, bok choi, and mango sauce and truffle fried rice with a fried egg. The rice was slightly dry, but I asked for a side of chili oil which they brought out within seconds and vastly improved the dish to me. For dessert, I was served mango black sticky rice with a little mango sorbet and a delicious ginger “pudding” cake. The service was sweet, attentive, and fast. I promise that you will enjoy your meal and time dining here and want to go again! The very few negative reviews this restaurant receives are absolutely ridiculous and have close to nothing to do with the restaurant experience. Don’t let them influence your opinion and try one of the best restaurants in London!!

We had a post theatre meal, having gone to a matinee at The National Theatre. It was the perfect place to sit and eat. Warm cosy environment upstairs. Very attentive waiter service and delicious food. We had a lovely meal and would return there.

I’ve had a fantastic experience every time I dine in at Sticky Mango Tower Bridge, food is absolutely delicious, ambiance is great, service is exceptional. High recommended especially for a night out with the friends for dinner, the scenic view outside is also very beautiful. For awhile now I’ve been wanting to go to Sticky Mango and I can say it was perfect down to every detail. When we arrived was super friendly took our coats which was a nice touch. The food was fantastic and the cocktails were amazing specially the ginger sour couldn’t get enough. My waiter called Deep was fantastic couldn’t believe it was his 2nd day had great knowledge on the menu, was super friendly and made a few jokes was a highlight of a great evening. Definitely will be going back for sure.
