The best restaurants in Purley Croydon London

This restaurant has been gone for ages! Sadly before I had a chance to try it. Replaced by some sort of "fusion" place.

I come here often for breakfast, the food is top quality and the range is great

Overall good, with great friendly service. Plaice was 8 or 9/10, but the chips were not as crispy as I’d like, although they were very fluffy. We will be back

Just got back from a fantastic meal. Absolutely fantastic steak/food. Service was great too, with great cocktails! We will be coming back, especially with my kids as they will love the steak, crispy squid and halloumi. Thank you for a fabulous evening. (Great we didn’t have to go into London to get a decent steak)

Absolutely delicious! Lovely, friendly cheeky staff and the food.... it's just amazing. Fresh and tasty. We had starters - crossing vegetarian, brushcetta Al pomodoro. Main we both had tagliatelle gamberoni E asparagi.

Food was fantastic, a real gem of a place, staff were extremely friendly and reasonably priced, Will definitely be back and thoroughly recomd it,

Purley is not short of cafes and there are several good ones but none closer to the station than this. They have a good range of breakfast items, some of them unusual and there’s plenty for vegetarians. Reasonable prices and quick and efficient service.

Each time we go to the Portuguese Tavern in Purley, it feels just like being on holiday. The atmosphere is very friendly and the food is good. We have enjoyed many a pleasant times there and the prices are good value.

Quality of ingredients are top, best tasting food in the area along with a 5 star customer service to match.

Great food! I 8 piece meezie is amazing. It .makes a perfect meal for two!
