Overall good, with great friendly service. Plaice was 8 or 9/10, but the chips were not as crispy as I’d like, although they were very fluffy. We will be back

Main lady on the till was very short In her replies attitude was not right. I asked for fresh portion she s lying thru her teeth saying it s fresh yet they gave me a portion from one side and the 2nd from a different side. Place for me felt dodgy. I asked to have the chips cooked separately than the fish, they gave me a HUH? never going back there again, I asked for a receipt after not being asked if I do want one, and she gave me attitude, ow you should have told me from the beginning, than she asks for a phone number with a weird attitude saying You want receipt? Gdpr , attitude, quality of food and of customer service, plus they kept exchanging words in a different language in front of me and after asking them to avoid that as it makes me feel uncomfortable, one of the ladies goes ow we were just talking about FOOD. ON TOP OF THAT THEY FRIED FISH AND THE CHIPS IN THE SAME OIL WITH USED ALL DAY RAPESEED OIL???? YUUCCHHH AND THE ATTITUDE ON TOP, I WILL NEVER EVER EVER BUY FROM THERE OR RECOMMEND. fish and chips in the same oil the whole place was stinking. Guess what?? The LARGE chips portion is not even a regular. It s so small that it s rip off!!!!

1st time new customer who had enough of my local poor quality chip shops nearby and decided to see if the reviews for Superfryer were accurate. Chips were fresh, crispy and delicious. Owners are a lovely couple who were so lovely to talk to and personable. They have managed shop for 20+ years. Wow, they must be doing something right !! The food was lovely, Service was excellent 👍. Will definitely be coming back 🍟

Amazing people, the staff (husband and believe wife) were very humble and helpful. The food, honestly was so good (Batter and freshness) easily the best fish and chips I’ve had in years and needless to say best in the area. Call in advance as items are freshly prepared and fried. Great selection of menu, next up the battered prawns! You can see why this establishment has held stead fast for decades. *Portion size of chips was allot larger than in picture. Some were eaten en route home :)

I have always used Superfryer as my go to fish and chip shop. Staff are always friendly with welcoming smiles. I usually ring them and then collect the order. There is no eat in or delivery. I have always found the food great. I order haddock, which is my favourite fish, but down south is always cooked to order, so it is always fresh. A personal recommendation from me!

One of the best fish & chips I’ve had - I have tried a lot from up and down the country. The fish is super fresh. Super friendly service. What’s not to like.

Best fish & chips I've had in years! We were looking for a quick dinner before grabbing our train and decided to go here. As owner has previously stated, everything is 100% cooked to order, and it's worth it. Great chips, chicken and beautiful crispy batter on the fish. I last went here about 30+ years ago when I lived in the area as a kid. I think, and hope, it's the same friendly family who own it. Great job!

I'm a connoisseur of fish and chips. Had the cod and chips with curry sauce and the 3 piece southern fried chicken and chips and it's a whole different experience that sets themselves apart from your usual fish and chip shop. The folks running it should be proud they put a lot of love into something simple and get the taste, crispiness and portions perfect. Well done. Keep it up.

2 minutes from the railway station by foot. This chip shop has been there for 90 years. The chips are very good and cooked really well. Prices are good and the owners are friendly people. They have a good selection of fried fish also.

Lovely little place with really nice staff. Good array of different foods including vegetarian options. Famous In Purley for it's great food and staff but also a few celebrity visits. Best battered mushrooms I have had.

We recently moved to the area and thought we would try this fish and chips shop. The staff were friendly but food was disappointing the fish had an awful after taste and the food portions were kid size, not what we expected when ordering a large cod and chips and it was all overpriced. Unfortunately we won't be returning.

Unfortunately the two large cod were well over cooked which was a shame as the small cod and the chips were lovely.

Absolutely delicious fish and great portion sizes - not too greasy! Lovely little local business, chips could be a but crispier but I did travel a while with them before eating so that's prob why.

chip shop empty ..expensive compared to others and served with chips straight away,which were overcooked, tasteless ,last 3 lots of fish n chips had from there were tasteless, not going back , oil probably needs changing more .

I was not impressed. It was like an empty shop struggling for customers..no food on display. I had a piece of cod for £5 and it was mostly batter. Only two mouthfuls of cod..do not bother

Simply the best. Been going here for years and they do the best chip shop chips, I've never found better. Very friendly people, always a relaxed atmosphere. Very hygienic and you get your food fast.

Staff seems friendly and the food is well done. Chips are shiny and crispy on the outside and soft from inside. Just how I like it. Other items on the menu were tried out and a thumbs up to Superfryers.
