Been here a few times . The staff are very attentive and welcoming . It reminds me of a shop front bar which to be honest could be placed anywhere in Europe Nd people would feel at home.. Well done guys

Great little bar, open late just what purley needed.

People fighting/insulting inside the venue the entire evening. Management/security didn't seem to care. Will give it another try as it's a local bar but this first experience was very bad.

every time i went there ended with a fight between ppl who get very drunk or big arguments , not so much of a good vibe pub , also bit pricey for a pub in zone 6 London

Had the most incredible time for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday. From start to finish Caroline thought of everything and made it seamless! All the staff were lovely and made sure we were well looked after all night. Food was incredible and drinks were incredible value. All 30 or so of our guests had the best time and made such great memories! Shout out to Jason our DJ who made sure the tunes kept coming and even let our family get on the mic a few times! He really got the party started upstairs and listened to what we wanted! Thank you whispers!! If you are looking for a venue for your function do not hesitate they made it the best ever :)

Celebrated my nephew’s 30th birthday party yesterday evening. Held upstairs in the private area. Absolutely brilliant. Lovely staff, great food. Above all, Renegade DJ was the best. ! Had everyone dancing all night. And what a happy, bubbly person you are. So nice (and refreshing) to see a DJ in such good spirits ALL NIGHT. Thank you to everyone who made my lovely nephew’s party a success xx

I could hardy believe the transformation of this bar. We've visited a couple of times and had such a good time. The staff are friendly, they have a huge screen for live sport and a DJ on friday nights who had everyone up dancing. Exactly what Purley needed!

Lovely place to have a drink when so many places in Purley have been a let down. A welcome addition to the area.

Top bar with really friendly bar staff. Love the fact it’s a sports bar. Been a few times and recently watched the boxing in there and was a really nice atmosphere. Will definitely be going again.

You guys are a nightmare honestly, ever since you opened. Screaming punters from 5pm through past midnight. Blaring music. Drunkards falling over each other on the roads, shrieking at 2am. Have some consideration you disrespectful lot. I honestly honestly hate you. Sending curses your way.

Absolute nuisance to the area constantly staying opening and playing loud music past the licence hours punters all over the street rather than inside the venue a complete and utter nightmare for neighbours total disrespect

Why are you called "whispers" when you have consistently disturbed the neighbours with loud music and annoying punters who aggregate outside your venue. Whisper!!!

STOP PLAYING LOUD MUSIC AT 12AM AND 1AM. TELL THE CUSTOMERS TO LEAVE QUIETLY. STOP PLAYING LOUD MUSIC AFTER YOUR LICENSED HOURS. AND HAVE SOME RESPECT.

Best local pub experience in Purley. Quick one hour visit, liked it, cosy, sports on TV. Friendly and family vibes.

A nice relaxing place to have a drink, or hold a meeting, prices are reasonable too and they do food.

Live music and always a friendly, happy environment on an evening out. Wicked night bank Holiday Thursday with live music played by Sam. Highly recommended 👌🏽

Have visited the pub a few times now post lock-down and I'm very impressed with the level of service. Staff are friendly and welcoming and you are temperature checked and offered hand sanitiser when entering. You are then shown to a table where drinks are brought to you and you can pay at the table too with contact-less payment. The upstairs area has been completely redone and looks great.

A small pub but very friendly staff with drinks at a reasonable price. They also do a loyalty card which is an added bonus. I'd recommend.

Small, friendly and does great pizza at very low price. It can't be called a great bar but unfortunately Purley lacks one of those. Elliotts is a good enough place for a pint or two
