Lovely food, good service, Abby was absolutely brilliant, not cheap but thoroughly recommend. Go on Saturdays Abby always put a smile on your face.

I really wanted to like this place with the good sounding Mediterranean menu but it was not good and we will not be back. We were a party of 6 that had pre-booked and after being sat by the freezing cold entrance waited 2 hours for our food, which when it arrived was sad and disappointing. My kofte were cold and tasteless and my partner’s sea bass was oily and the skin was not crisp. The waitress was trying to be nice and apologised for the wait at the end but it was too late and what should have been a nice family meal was spoilt. Very dissatisfied.

I was here last week Friday with my family for lunch and we had a lovely meal and enjoyed the coast breakfast, my lovely boyfriend had the English breakfast as well as the kale kick that was very enjoyable and the waitress Mel and she was brilliant, looked after us extremely well.

This is the second time I’ve been here both times closed but says open at 4-30 I got there tonight at 5.20 Staff in there totally ignoring me , I could hear phone ringing as I just wanted to ask when they were opening , they ignored it Very disappointed won’t return

Beautiful venue, well-stocked bar, and fantastic cocktails. We held our event here and had the bar for private hire. Communication with Steve before the booking was great—he was very accommodating and flexible to our requests. On the day, the bar was well-staffed (which is rare for a private event) and led by Harry. The entire team was clearly well-trained in both customer service and mixology. They were all incredibly welcoming to our guests, making everyone feel at ease. They even went the extra mile, helping our DJ unload, set up, and rearrange the bar to better suit our needs. I ran a free bar and kept a close eye on it. Having done this before, I’ve often seen bars slip in extra drinks to reach the minimum spend—none of that happened here. In fact, our final bill came in under the minimum spend. When Harry informed me, I told him to simply charge the difference, but he wasn’t satisfied with that. Instead, he generously offered me a couple of bottles to take home. I am absolutely delighted with my choice of venue. If you’re looking for a fair private hire venue with great drinks and outstanding customer service, look no further!

I came to the address on your site as says your a restaurant but it was a residential house??? I am confused are you a restaurant or a person cooking at home? Please advise so I can possibly re visit Thanks

Amazing for a fancy dinner or anything that you want to do you could go for a family dinner. Even a night out or a date this is an amazing place

The coffee espresso it is a real Italian coffee!!! I had a nice time with my Italian friend there. The croissants (cornetti) were so good. We also tried the homemade orange juice, delicious! I really recommend it!

While the food is a 5/5, the service on a Saturday is awful. Called in and placed an order, was told to come in 30 minutes. I had to wait another 30 minutes at the store.

Great place, friendly atmosphere with good ales, cocktails and cheeseboard on a Sunday!

The food was amazing and sunggun was brilliant very attaintive and got all our orders correct and didn’t even note it down and there was 7 of us and we had starters mains desert and drinks

We visited the Bookstore café on Saturday 21st December after discovering that this lovely location had recently reopened on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. We enjoyed some really tasty homemade soup, one was chicken and the other sausage and carrots, both had very generous portions of meat. The drinks on offer included freshly made coffee and fruit flavoured kombucha. The cake selection was very good, especially as it included small slices of tiramisu, which made a nice change. I have joined their loyalty club to get even better value when we come back, which I hope will be soon.
