Visited to buy food for breakfast and lunch. The shop is tiny but is absolutely packed with delicious food. We came away with almond croissants, a loaf of sourdough bread, salami, a delicious courgette quiche, some superb local butter from Bungay and a round of Baron Bigod cheese. This was all consumed very quickly and we’re planning our next raid.

We popped in for a coffee and an ice cream during the heatwave. What a welcome sight! On the edge of The Green it was easy to park our campervan. The lady running the place was friendly and gave a very generous scoop of mint choc chip. It was delicious and we sat outside to enjoy it. Highlight of my day. Thank you.

A big thank you to the management and staff for a wonderful afternoon and lunch in the garden. Always so well organised and professional under these extreme circumstances. Great food and service as always . Welcome back and it’s good to be back!

Excellent food but service slow and unprofessional. Staff seem inexperienced and would benefit from training. Unfortunately the role of providing service is generally underrated in the UK hospitality sector. It makes the difference between an average and an exceptional experience.

What a brilliant location! Great food and friendly service. Superb value for money. I am not a member but have been a few times with my family. Pizza and a drink deal is great value. What a gem of a find. We will definitely be returning. Fore!!!

I love the cosy front bar area of this pub, especially when the fire is lit. But on this occasion we'd booked for Sunday lunch so were put in the restaurant at the rear, and as always seems to happen to us when we dine out, on the table nearest to the kitchen door and area where the staff are moving around. Also disappointingly there was only one choice of roast meat on offer - pork, which, putting it politely, isn't a favourite of mine. This place used to be packed years ago but it seems to have lost it's mojo a bit. Perhaps it's the time of year. The interior decor of the rear part of the restaurant doesn't quite gel with the rest of the room, and the awful pale blue paint on the outside of the building looks rather jaded too. Needs some investment one feels.

Lovely stay in wonderful old historic inn. Made to feel welcome by friendly staff. Our chihuahua Lulu enjoyed the attention and her breakfast sausage which was nearly as big as her. Will stay longer next time to enjoy the numerous walks from the village

This was a sweet tea room. It was lovely sitting on a table in the sun. The tea was really nice and they brought extra hot water to top up the tea which was really appreciated. The tea set was also really pretty. Was a lovely spot for a quick break. We didn’t get any sweet treats but there seemed to be a nice selection of cakes.
