Dan, Laura and all the staff are so lovely. Batch fifty two really has become an integral part of the community in Baldock. As a family we all love going there for eating in and take away drinks and snacks. All the food is delicious and made fresh on site. You should visit whenever you are in Baldock

Just stopped for a quick coffee. Excellent coffee and fabulous cakes. We had the almond croissant cookie and the carrot cake, both of which were excellent. Highly recommended!

They've changed their menu and it's even better than the last one. Great evening there as usual, have now been several times and CB never fails to impress and show us a good time. Staff very attentive and the food was excellent. Tasty and hot.

We eat at different Asian restaurants as a group once a month. Service polite lacking confidence, we had to catch waiters attention a good few times. Food was generally VG, generous portion, each dish had rounded flavours.Rice cooked well. Generally we enjoyed food Restaurant is being refurbished, tbh we would have been more impressed with surroundings if we had left visit until March. Once restaurant sharpens up its act & gets on track all should be ok. Finally Staff didn’t really sell the restaurant, leaving guest feeling less inclined to return.

First visit and stumbled against it looking for a decent restaurant and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The whole experience was lovely and the food gave us a taste of Greece we have missed due to Covid.

Our go to local Chinese, great quality food every time. They have always got our order correct. You do have to collect but it is absolutely worth it!

Poor quality weak tea. Got charged £2.95 when I told them the tea was weak and requested stronger. Staff and management require training.

Easy to order and pay on the website, the staff at the restaurant were very helpful when I phoned, delivery was on time and the driver was very friendly. Food was good quality and tasty, served hot too. Would definitely recommend.

Really good food, very tasty! However it took over an hour to take our order. Service in the restaurant was very slow and we had an issue when we arrived. The gentleman welcoming people said they didn’t have our booking, but I said I had booked on their website, but he said I hadn’t. Then after 10 minutes they found my booking on their system, but they hadn’t written it down in their diary. Sadly no apology. Previously we ordered a takeaway where the korma sauce arrived but no chicken. We called the restaurant and they said they’d send another immediately. However, an hour later it arrived, sadly ruined the dinner party as rest of the food was cold. We called the restaurant a number of times and they said the replacement was on its way, but each time this was incorrect information. Also ordered a takeaway online in January from their website. It was due to be delivered at 8pm. At 8:30pm we thought we best phone to check if the order was okay, but the restaurant phone said user busy. By 9:10 finally our takeaway arrived. Good food but sadly the service is so slow so we probably won’t be using them again.

Excellent food, service and Grappa. Family atmosphere, smilley staff. The Lobster and Steak were cooked to perfection. Will return for sure.

Just returned from a meal at this restaurant! Environmental Health and H&S should pay a visit! Whilst I appreciate the venue is being decorated, there is currently only one shared toilet which quite frankly was appalling. The flush was hanging loose from the cistern and didn’t flush at all 🤢 and just about enough water to wash ur hands, no soap and no way of drying them either. The restaurant was full of boxes containing all the furniture fittings and smelt strongly of drying wall plaster. Surely if a restaurant is being refitted to this extent then it shouldn’t be open to the public? Our group had pre-ordered but the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed and the staff weren’t sure what was going on. We waited an hour for the main course, when it did arrive we waited another 15 minutes before the rice and sides arrived which by this time the main course was cold! The food was non-descript and really wasn’t worth the effort, hence I will not be returning let alone recommend to anyone else.
