Great location. Just right for an overnight stay on the way to Ferry Terminel. Clean rooms, food is also good, very friendly staff.

We booked a three night stay over Christmas. We had stayed here two years ago and loved it. We love the relaxed vibe of having your own place where you can self-cater if you want to, but with a restaurant on site. The accommodation both times was excellent, plenty of space for us and our dog. We had a few issues, more houskeeping related than anything, but what was disappointing was the 'welcome pack' compared to what we'd had two years earlier. They provided very basic provisions for Christmas morning breakfast - inclding four slices of bog standard bread, four small pats of butter and some jam. Before we had a choice of breads and pastries, smoked salmon and yoghurt. This time there was a packet of crisps, the smallest jar of honey you've ever seen and a indifferent looking chocloate bar! Not what you'd expect from a high end priced establishment. There was only one spare hanger in the wardrobe (more were provided when I asked), the mattress protector was heavily stained and a couple of lights needed sorting, all of which you would have thought would be checked beforehand. The food in the restaurant was excellent (we had dinner each night and lunch on Christmas Day) and the service was mostly good, the staff being very friendly and helpful. However, Christmas lunch took forever. We had only had two courses after two hours! We gave up as we needed to get back to our pooch. Overall we are glad we stayed but disappointed in some aspects. We didn't use the spa so can't comment. Would we stay again? Doubtful.

Returning again to what has become one of my favourite premier inn's Rooms have been upgraded and these are lovely. Staff are amazing and friendly from check in to check out. See you again next year ipswich North.

Visited the pub this evening for Xmas drinks with friends tonight. Had booked a table as knew it would be busy. On arrival I found my table had been reserved with my name on it, so that was a good start. The new manager Terry came over and spoke to us. He personally cleaned our table and made sure we were looked after. No queue at the bar and quick service. For the first time in a long time it was nice to see the pub clean. I was even more pleased to see the manager check the toilets to ensure they were clean and supplied with sufficient toilet roll. ( that’s the sign of a good manager) Also a special thank you to Eve who was working on the floor serving customers and was working very hard.

Great food every time, decent portion sizes, and they accept card payments unlike several other chippies in the area.

We're regular customers here as we live in the village. Good size portions, very good food, friendly staff, well run even when busy, which is often!

Disgusting food! Manager is horrible to customers and staff, people vaping in the kitchen around the food, also staff eating food which is being made whilst it’s still raw, staff are horrible, don’t even try to get a job there as you will be harassed by the manager

Great service, happy staff who always are up for a chat. Always happy to do extra for customers. The beers are of a decent standard and an even more so decent price
