This is a review to say the food is fantastic, the staff are lovey and a visit here never disappoints. However you need to have much clearer trading times. Whichever platform you look on it’s different and we saw it trades from March, it doesn’t as we checked three days in a row. Please just have a set opening and trading times. With the hot weather the last 3 days I feel like you’ve missed out on bumper trade.

We stopped by for a New Year’s Day drink only to be told they’d run out of glasses!! We couldn’t believe it. Why they didn’t just wash up 4 glasses and say they’d be a minute. They turned away a couple hundred pounds of business as we went elsewhere. Absolutely ridiculous. We’ll never return and have told our friends

Visited The Chequers last weekend and had a lovely lunch. The menu is small but perfectly formed! The food was excellent. Dog friendly in all areas. Staff were extremely welcoming. Very pleasant surprise and highly recommended 😊

Our visit was 7th March 2025. Posirives: Food was lovely although one coffee was luke warm but my husband was parched, we aren't ones to complain or leave reviews, but aslong with other paying customers we found the atmosphere/music not to our taste so we would not return. I am sure the Hip Hop/Rap Music with cursing and swearing won't be to other guests taste either. I used the disabled facilities, to find faeces on the outside of the toilet and on the seat. Totally unacceptable. Will we return, unfortunately not.

This is our second visit to Titchwell Manor and it didn’t disappoint. The staff really make this hotel stand out from others we have stayed in hence why we returned. It’s super dog friendly as well, making an effort to make him as comfortable as we are. The real draw is the location, just over the road from the beach and coastal walk all the way to Burnham Overy Staith if you want to go that far. We had a garden room both times which are dog friendly and very well maintained with nice walk in shower, comfortable double bed, TV, coffee machine and fridge. The paintwork could do with a bit of a touch up here and there but that would be nit picking. The bar/restaurant is also dog friendly which is great and the staff really made a fuss of the dog which was lovely. The evening meal is fine dining and changes every day, it uses good quality local ingredients and everything is made in house, even down to the butter which is a nice touch. It’s not cheap to eat there but you get what you pay for! Breakfast was also excellent, fresh coffee and a selection of cereals, granola and yogurt. You can choose between a full English, salmon and eggs or even locally smoked kippers which were amazing. We would certainly recommend staying here for a relaxing break and we will return!
