We came in last week, as a family of 3. We were served within 3 minutes of being sat down, and our waitress Scarlet took very good care of us, even recognising myself and my daughter from the last time we came!! She was very thorough with the specials they had on at the time, and had plenty of patience with us when deciding. Amazing atmosphere, loved to watch the teams play football while we ate our food. We even got dessert this time, the sticky toffee was absolutely delightful. Cannot recommend the Sunday roast enough!! I went for chicken last time, this time tried the beef. Did not disappoint!! We will be coming back to say the least, and excellent service as usual from Scarlet. Look forward to coming back again!

We celebrated my Dad’s 90th birthday with friends and family. Nothing was too much trouble and David was so helpful. The menu had so much choice and all the food was cooked to the highest standard. If you want to make a function then Blue Check is the place to go.

Had a fantastic meal here! Great service, delicious food, and a lovely atmosphere. They even saved my partner a piece of tiramisu, her favourite, which was a bonus since they ran out the last couple of times we went there. She loved it! Will definitely be back.

This has to be one of the best places to eat in Bushey. Excellent food and service at a reasonable price. If I could give them more stars I would. The menu is varied with many delicious things to try and enjoy. They even have some delicious looking Sri Lankan dishes to have. Your taste buds will love you forever if you eat here.

Heard mixed reports but wanted to try for Sunday lunch 15/2/25. We had booked for 2pm with another couple. It was rammed. We waited a very long time for service and when our food eventually arrived - we weren't sure how you can burn food yet serve it cold (all four mains - one fish, one burger, one nut roast, one pork). The supervisor in charge dealt with it well but nuking already burnt, dry food wasn't the answer. He cancelled the cost of one main, and deducted 10% from the bill. Just too many covers at the same time for the kitchen to deal with. And just to say - they think a "black forest" is a chocolate cake with 3 cherries in kirsch plonked on top.

Went to celebrate my son's birthday. The food was very good , meats cooked well but quite expensive for what it was. Most dishes you need to order sides on top which adds up. Cocktails were inconsistent. We had 2 the same , mine had hardly any alcohol while the other was very strong. Music was very good but there was no other entertainment for a Friday night. The hostess we had was terrible , no acknowledgement, no smile etc. Also we ordered the birthday baklava . Apart from a small show of preparing it , the server didnt really interact , wish Happy birthday etc. When he had finished cutting it up , he just walked off without any acknowledgement. When i am paying £30 for a dessert , i would expect at least a smile. One of the most expensive meals we have had for 4 people and did expect much better customer service.

India Garden: Where Spices Go to Die The food here is truly out of this world. And I mean this literally. Service was... present. Technically. Our waiter appeared once every lunar eclipse, and when he did, he radiated the kind of enthusiasm usually reserved for tax audits. When we politely mentioned the food either wasn’t quite right (or hadn't quite arrived), he nodded with the glazed expression of a man who’s already accepted his fate. I left with a heavy heart, a lighter wallet, and a newfound appreciation for pot noodles.

After being our go-to restaurant for family get-togethers for about 25 yrs, we are sorry that Alphonso is retiring and moving back to Puglia. We will miss you. On Sunday lunchtime the restaurant was packed with friends and family to say goodbye to a well-loved institution. We hope that the new owners will continue your tradition for high quality and good value when they open in November.
