Vu Lounge in Hertsmere

The food quality and service is not the same as it was 2 years ago, we ordered a chicken steak which was completely dry, not worth the price at all, once we have had the starters the waiter was bringing out the mains without clearing up the starters mess which we needed to remind him, we were neither asked during our meal if we needed anything and how the food was as you would expect from a place like this we spent a total of £230 between 4 adults and 2 children and was still charged a 12% service charge which was a bad move from the management. I will not be visiting here again.

I had my daughters with me and they were playing the most rude and vile music. It was so inappropriate and embarrassing. I had to tell them to change it, because it became so embarrassing.

The place was nice and friendly atmosphere. My friends really enjoyed it. The service was was and the food was amazing.😊

Group came here recently for my birthday and I would say it’s a mixed bag. The Good - The food I thought was very good with a varied menu that caters for everyone. It’s also a nice touch how they help people celebrate their birthday with all the staff getting together to help with the birthday music and sparklers The entertainment was good with the fire displays and dancing, which adds to the ambience. Excellent DJ and music selection The Bad - Our mains came while we were still eating our starters which gives you the impression they want to hurry you up. Although in fairness even after finishing our meal they didn’t rush us. That may be because the restaurant wasn’t full. The venue itself is okay, but nothing spectacular. The walk up to the venue is underwhelming and putting a few bright lights and signage on the inside with the artificial foliage is nothing you don’t see elsewhere. The view from the window is like looking out into a building site. Enjoyed the evening however coming down from London, definitely wouldn’t be driving back up here again in a hurry

Not a comfortable experience restaurant sitting area was like sitting outside very cold although they did have heating but refused to switch it on front doors were open to accommodate the cooking in the kitchen 9 people out to celebrate a birthday but it was that cold it dampened the mood and atomosphere did tell the waitress that everyone dining was sitting in the wit there coats on but fell to deaf ears spent £300 plus food came out in bit and drabs couldn’t get out sooner to be honest service was terrible I know I sound like someone who’s winging but gods truth it was that cold 🥶

Absolutely freezing unfortunately we sat in the restaurant side and we’re told they couldn’t do anything with closing the door because the open kitchen facing the restaurant would get too smoky and they needed the doors open we sat in our coats asked for the heating to be put on it was for 10 minutes and then switched off again which was really strange. Unfortunately the rest of the evening was a disaster too we had 8 people ordering the 1st person got their food but our drinks never came we asked and the waiter who brought them but then dropped half off them so they had to start again this was then 40mins after sitting and no drinks our food came was ok nothing too great but because it was so cold in the restaurant we found it got cold very quickly I genuinely just wanted to get out so I could start the car snd get warm such a shame had high hopes for Vu lounge but that’s a massive design flaw if the doors have to be kept open at all times.

Amazing atmosphere and staff! Cannot fault the service at all! Had a lovely night out with friends and will be coming back again!

Always a pleasure when dining at Vu Lounge! Big shout out to Yusuf & Amar (sorry lads if I've spelt your names wrong). They always make it a homely feel for me whenever I'm there and they ensure that me, my wife and my sons are at ease. Food is always stunning and really can't fault it. It's winter season now. My ONLY criticism is that the middle of the dining floor did feel a bit colder than usual. When I did mention it to Amar, table was switched for us within a second which I appreciate very highly. Thank you guys and the whole team @ Vu Lounge.

Me and my wife are regulars at VU Lounge, the food and Shisha never disappoints and is always amazing. Paired with the very friendly staff who are always very welcoming and hospitable. No matter how busy the restaurant is, the staff really do go above and beyond to give you the VU Experience. Today we were served by Yousef and Mahmood who made sure we were taken care of all evening, regularly checking up to make sure we were happy and all was well!

Food was really great and quick. Service was impeccable and all members of staff were extremely friendly and accommodating to helping us with a birthday surprise. Great place!

Vu Lounge is great spot for an adult family night out. The food is always good and service on point. I particularly recommend the bbq ribs for starters - succulent and tasty. The meat platter is outstanding with enough on it to last you a week! My personal favourite, however, is the the goats cheese salad with fries - albeit, last night there was just a little too much balsamic vinegar added making it too tangy. Usually, its the best. The environment is great, lots going on, birthday celebrations going off and just a nice vibe. If you want a quite dinner setting, this is not the place. The option of just dinner or shisha and dinner is a nice option too. Easily a good recommendation for more than one visit.

Absolutely brilliant! We come here every year for our anniversary and honestly cant fault it. The service is brilliant and the food is delicious!! I can never finish everything but i just want to order so much as i dont live close or drive :( x but the good news is you can take it home aha xx honestly its become a staple for me and hubby now x and hopefully will be coming every year! 23rd aug 2020 we found this place ♡ i got my usual fillet mignon and mmmmm when i say moist. The VU lounge is always a good vibe. Fantastic food (well seasoned and properly cooked), customer service is excellent and ambiance is lovely! The music sets the mood right and the theatrics of prepping the meal in front of guests never loses its trill, quite entertaining. I enjoyed my meals while listening to good tunes from the DJ. It was a great night!

Second time going to vu lounge for a special occasion, first time to celebrate my anniversary, service was spot on and the food was delicious, the steak is really juicy and delicious. Staff are really friendly and attentive. Second time to celebrate my mums birthday and again everything was spot on. It’s worth the price.

Was recommended by a friend. And was not disappointed, the food was on point and delicious. The service was exceptional. The birthday baklava which was for my husband as it was his birthday was amazing. Thankyou for an amazing evening it was thoroughly enjoyed by both of us. We had the prawns and Adana kebab for starters and enjoyed it. The mains were lamb chops, wings, mash and it was really enjoyable. The mock tails are really good too.

The food was very tasty, we choose the stake to be cooked in front of us and the chef done it with a fire show too! The staff very friendly and welcoming! Definitely we will come back soon!

Second time I came here, first was a few years ago when they opened. Food was considerably worse and more expensive than the first time, (we had fillet mignon and ribeye beef steak). It was ok, not worth the price though. You have to buy everything separately, steak alone is between £40 - £60 each, then sauces are an additional £3, chips are also extra (can’t remember how much), a small glass bottle of coke is a whopping £5!! Also, if you do end up going, ensure you ask the waiter to take off the service charge, this does not go to staff and goes straight to the owner, I asked.

Nice place. Prices are high for the food served but the food was nice so I didn't mind as much. Annoying thing is paying a deposit to book the table and then it not being automatically deducted from the bill.
