Service is quick . Good place for hot cooked food. Ask about those on restricted diets. CASH ONLY. Popular for walkers dogs . Sell sausages for dogs as well as biscuits. Doesn't not recycle cups. Sorry to say getting too expensive to eat regularly like we used to

Came here on a Saturday for lunch at around 11.15 a.m. as we thought they opened at 11 a.m. but they actually opened around 11.30 a.m. Queue was already formed when we got there but luckily there were only around 10 people in front of us, as the queue can get really big. When the shutters opened the queue moved relatively quickly. Be aware that most of the tables are outside, so make sure to wrap up warm if visiting in winter months, with just 12 seats inside, which are still affected by the elements as its really only covered in plastic, so again, wrap up warm. It's a rough and ready table and seating place which is perfect, as means people can visit straight from a muddy walk, with their dogs etc. We had a lobster tail (£18) which was delicious, and I had the bacon and scallop roll (so enjoyable, although the bacon is naturally the stronger flavour), and hubby had the scallops wrapped in pancetta with a glaze, and said they were his favourite thing. I'd love to try everything on the menu to be honest. Drinks can be bought from the pub attached, or from one of the nearby coffee trucks. Service was with huge laughs and smiles, and once ordered the food was very quick to come out. Authentic places like these are special and should be protected at all costs, so accept the queues, don't let them put you off, and just go and enjoy some of the freshest seafood you'll have cooked for you in this area of the world. Wish I was closer so I could go every week (some of the customers we shared a table with told us they go every Saturday - how jealous I am of them!).

Friendly family business. A good selection of food cakes . They do prefer cash, but card use over £5

I brought a voucher on Groupon for my partner and I. We went along around 4pm and didn't need to book. The car park was really messy and unkept so I had concerns. It needed a general tidy up. Inside was a little dated. BUT very welcoming. A lady took us to a table and talked us through the substantial menu. A man came over and told us about the place and how it is run. local produce and all cooked fresh. They even make their own ice cream. The food was delicious and we both left full and very impressed with the chief and his food.

We always find the staff friendly and helpful. Stephen served us today and nothing was too much trouble. I had Sea bass dish, cooked perfectly for me with vegetables not over cooked like some places. Great ambience with beams and nice styles of lighting and open fire. Not the cheapest but definitely worth it.

We had a good experience here. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had to order and pay at the bar, but OK. The Mcmullen's country bitter was well-kept and lovely. The ambience of the pub was warm and cosy, and the toilets were nice and clean. There is a big car park too. Our food wasn't bad. I had a chicken kebab which wasn't a kebab, it was big pieces and was rather dry. Nevertheless it was tasty and the Mac's salad was delicious, as was the tzadziki. My husband had a burger which again was tasty, but rather messy with burger sauce everywhere! But burgers are pretty much always messy. His chips were good but he could've done with a few more. I wouldn't be put off by the food because the general experience was good; I'd personally choose something else from the very extensive menu. That's my honest review; hope it's helpful.
