Food average, don't expect big portions if you want potatoesand veg you have to pay more, deserts were cold had to be remicrowaved

Been to Miller & Carter a few times but our experience today far surpasses any others. Lunchtime time menu was excellent and very good value for the money. Ahmet was our waiter and he was excellent. Not only did he give us brilliant service he had a great sense of humour. All in all a great experience and we will be back.

Never had a bad experience at around the UK but at Miller and Carter at Epping Forest, Sophie was our server and she was just brilliant! You could see how much effort and hard work Sophie puts in and it really made our visit 100 times more enjoyable. With work I travel the whole of the UK i have to say Miller & Carter best UK steakhouse I've found especially the one in Epping Forest.

We had my dads 80th birthday here, big thank you to Manager Eloise who put the birthday banners up etc, and made it feel really special. Our Waitress Laurie was amazing gave us advice, on food and what wine we should have with our meals. Food was delicious, nice new deserts have been added. over all we had a wonderful meal. Highly Recommend. Once again big shout out to our fantastic waitress Laurie. We will be back very soon!

Had the worst experience of my life at this location - you can absolutely tell the management does not respect and value their workers and treat them horribly!! After mentioning it to some of my friends heard terrible stories from previous and current workers!! Food was alright had better. Start respecting your workers and colleagues!

I went to Miller and Carter Epping with my mum and sister for my birthday last night. We were served by Ahmet who welcomed us from the very beggining.We were sat in probably the busiest part of the restaurant and he assured that we were tended to despite us seeing how busy he was! He made us laugh from the very beggining and every time he approached our table we were in fits of laughter .we could also see how attentive he was with the tables all around us who also seemed to be enjoying having him as their waiter. As we were leaving the restaurant he held the door open for us to leave and even on our way out he was still making us laugh! The food was also lovely as always too! We can't thank Ahmet enough and will be back !! We shall also be asking for him next time too! Thankyou Ahmed from Jade, Ashley and Linda x

This place is in such a good position but it’s in desperate need of renovation. Everything looks tired and sometimes I understand that but when you’re down to just 1 working toilet that overfills when flushed you need to take stock and renovate.

I recently dined at Miller and Carter in Loughton and had a very disappointing experience. The restaurant itself was quite large, but unfortunately, it was also dirty. This immediately set a negative tone for our meal. We ended up waiting for an hour for our food, which was incredibly frustrating, especially with hungry kids in tow. When the food finally arrived, it was a huge letdown. I ordered pasta with meatballs for my kids, and the pasta was overcooked to the point of being mushy. The meatballs were even worse—they tasted like they were straight out of an IKEA freezer, completely lacking in flavor and quality. The one positive aspect of our visit was the staff. They were friendly and attentive, trying their best to make up for the restaurant’s shortcomings. However, even their good service couldn’t salvage the overall experience. Overall, it was a very disappointing dining experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to others. The long wait time, dirty environment, and poorly prepared food left much to be desired.

We always have a lovely evening with our family. The food is always delicious and the service is 10/10. We had the best waiter (Ahmet) who was so funny and kind to our children. Really happy with the service and would always choose the Epping branch over any others.

We waited to be seated for about 7-10 minutes During this time the party before us gave up and went elsewhere. The waitress who served us seemed to not give a care about this. Although very quiet in the restaurant. The service was rather poor and very slow. The food was rather sub standard to that we expect from your establishment. We were altogether very disappointed with this visit. Although I must say we come quite regularly and are mostly happy. Returned 2 weeks later after a call from Cojo the manager. Have got to say. The service from our waitress Erin was very good and the food was well presented and very tasty. Will definitely be back soon.

Have been going here for years. Always an enjoyable experience. On this occasion Ahmet was our waiter and he was as always attentive with a great sense of humour. He was quick to serve our good food and drinks. Will be returning again soon.

Connie our server was wonderful, warm, and caring. The lunch set menu is phenomenal. The Calamari was fresh and tasty, the halloumi fries were generous too. The steak sandwiches were both cooked to our liking perfectly (well done and medium) were tender and tasty. The creme brulee was heavenly. We are return customers and reccomend miller and carter epping to everyone.

I would like to say massive thank you to our waitress Laurie on Saturday night, She made me and partner feel so welcome, she explained the steak experience so well with a massive smile on her face. she was constantly checking on us and making sure we was alright at all times. I would recommend anyone as she has amazing service and couldn’t do enough for you.

Clare was amazing will definitely be coming back and hopefully will be served by her again. Great food too but the service was second to none.

Stay as far away from this place as you can!!! This was a disaster from beginning to the end... Where do I even start... Maybe from ordering - it took us a bit time to order as we were with two small children and four adults. Each minute, the waiter came to ask what we would want to drink without giving us a moment of rest. So we decided to take two three course meals and one two course for kids and another cocktail. So let start with a small math problem - two courses for 33, one kids for 15 and one cocktail for 9.25 - 33*2+15+9.25 will come to 90.25, but the bill said 112... So be aware, they steal your money! Ok so for those of us who don't care for math, let me explain how it went... We took prawns, fillet and sticky toffee with greens for one course meal. Burata, another steak and chunky fries and brownie. The kids was steak with fries and cheese bread. We asked that whatever was ready will come out. And the wait began! 40 minutes for the steaks and they came first!!! Not the starters not the sides... Which one of them didn't even come (my chunky fries...). Then over 40 minutes for desert!! Which we ended up just boxing... We told them we didn't need anything just let us leave, they wanted to charge us even more without the deserts... At this point we didn't want them and they were yet to be boxed. Makes zero sense and was an overall a horrible experience. The girls lost it from all the waiting and we just wanted to go away at this point... Worst yet, we were waiting while all the dirty dishes were all over the table and asking to have them clear didn't help. He took a few of the dishes and left the others. Never to be back! The bill took another 30 minutes... Came with so many mistakes we didn't care in the end and just payed and left. They kept the bill to themselves as well!!! The place was not even full... the manager was no help at all. Just for your own sanity, stay away. Also, someone need to tell them that peas are not considered greens just because of their color... Greens should be vegetables!

Can’t fault the service in Epping Miller and Carter, the food was lovely and fresh, our Waiter Clare was absolutely lovely and so helpful. She made our dining experience an absolute pleasure. Will definitely be returning and asking for Clare!

Had a very good meal at Miller and Carter. Plenty of free parking in the large car park. Expect to pay around £25 for your meal and a drink. Desserts are around £8. Service was very good.

Waited an hour for simple main course while around us people arrived after us were served first and were paying and leaving. Manager when ask thought our treatment was acceptable and didn’t even feel the need to apologise. However our waiter was very apologetic and helpful his name was Ahmed.

No booking required and Ahmet was attentive and polite. Great service.

A cosy, clean but slightly old-fashioned restaurant. We went for the lunch menu midweek and were disappointed by how long it took for our food to arrive, especially considering that the place was not busy. The steak was okay, but a little ordinary for the price. The lunch menu is not very well designed: deep fried starter, deep fried chips, deep fried onion-loaf - it was too much "deep fried" - the chef needs to have a rethink! I would visit again, I can cook steak at home better than this and with more imaginative sides.

Food was spectacular as always! Beef dripping gravy should be bottled and sold separately; it’s delicious. Tracy was our server and was really lovely and helpful helping me to decide what to have.

Had a lovely meal this evening and couldn't fault the service received. Ahmet was brilliant, he was courteous, professional with a good sense of humour and even entertained the children. Would recommend and revisit again.

Had a birthday dinner at Miller & Carter Epping Forest. Food was beautiful, steaks were cooked to perfection and to top it off, our waiter Ahmet, was a.m.a.z.i.n.g. He was extremely friendly and attentive, and always had a smile on his face every time he came to take/serve our order or when he would just come to check on us. He was also great with the children in our party of 11 - including them in the process. The whole experience was lovely, thanks to the delicious food AND the service.

Staff acting like forced to work in this place. This place deserves better management.

I said 2 years ago that ill never come back here after I was missing the apple puree form the pork meal and after chasing 3 members of staff and almost finishing my meal that some joker thought it funny to present me with a small hard apple briefly gridded. This followed on my my sister never returning after the manager at the time not accepting a booking of for fathers day eg 16 people as their rule was 15 (note that the 16th person was a young toddler). This was ashame as she brought alot of business to the restaurant. So last night I didn't have a choice as I was looking after my Aunt who has dementia. She cannot eat spicey food and can't travel far so miller n carter epping was nearest and had a varied menu. Also food that she knows. We both ordered the lamb dinner. One med one med - one well done. Like the previous pork meal very tasty. Very nice. .... but! ... it wasn't until I'd eaten mine, my Aunt eats slow and I helped her by cutting her meat and broccoli up. I then noticed we'd been given the wrong lamb.... mine wasn't that red so I accepted this was the chefs med - well done but seeing my aunts lamb I could see that had been cooked more. Such ashame as she struggled to chew hers and then didn't want anymore. I would have preferred my meat cooked more as i requested. I did tell our waitress but not much of a reaction. It was a young girl that muddled up the dinners. Once getting my aunt home and then myself it occurred to me we were missing the pea and broad bean puree!!!!! Seriously????? Ffs!! 😤😖😠 2 years and later and I'm told a different chef and new staff and they still f it up!! The real shame of it is, both the pork meal and the lamb meal were really very nice. (Both meals the lovely potatoes could have been bigger portions) I'm now done with not getting what is advertised on the menu and not getting what I paid for . 😟

Absolute joke. Turned up for a table of two. Huge restaurant was half empty. Was told they didn't have any space until 2 hours later. So sad, its suppose to be my local go to. Second time this has happened to me here. Never again.

Nice macaroni cheese and chicken. Surrounded by forest. Just hear the road but musak was louder. Would definitely go again

Our visit started with a fantastic welcome from Michael. He was professional, friendly and gave us the best option for seating based on the capacity in the restaurant. He smiled, made us laugh and handed us over to Laurie who was our waitress for the evening. Laurie was very patient, professional and gave us good recommendations from the menu. I actually wanted a Sunday roast which was not available on the menu and Laurie gave me the best alternative. In the end I went for the steak. Laurie let us know that one of the sauces was no longer available even though it is still on the menu and despite the fact that the restaurant was busy, she came back to check on us and see if there was anything we needed. Of all the millet and carters we have been to this one was by far the best and that is solely based on the service we received. I honestly didn’t love the food but Laurie and Michael were amazing

Used this venue for a reunion with 2 old colleagues Friday lunchtime 5th July, what an excellent choice. The waitress was excellent and made us feel quite welcome and drinks arrived promptly. We all chose the Fixed Price Menu, 3 courses for £19.50 which turned out to be an excellent choice. We all ordered different choices and were all pleased with the quality, preparation and portion size of each course. There was a good mix of people in the restaurant, from a young couple with an excellently, well behaved baby to old codgers, such as ourselves, which helped make an excellent atmosphere. The waitress even opened the fire exit door for us so we could be nearer to the carpark as it was tipping it down with rain. All in all a first class establishment and our thanks to all the staff in their efforts to make it that way – will certainly be back.

Tracey was our waitress today, and she made every effort to help our daughter enjoy her birthday meal. She accomodated putting our sparklers onto my daughters desert, and we even got the added touch of a written birthday message on the serving plate with chocolate sauce. A fab time had by us all!

We were all satisfied with the staff, drinks, ambience and, for the most part, the food: lobster was dry, tough, small and expensive for the portion. All the party thought steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious.

It was Monday lunchtime, so I didn't book. Waitress came and took our drink order almost immediately. The food was really great. Service very good. Would definitely go again. Waitresses were very helpful and friendly.
