Lovely lunch, Laurie was a star!

Food was gorgeous and Laurie was lovely.

UPDATE 26APR25. Long wait to be seated. Soft drinks expensive. Waitress was lovely but meal was pretty awful. Had to wait ages for anything and everything. Burger missing coleslaw and bun burned. Wrong meal for 2. Chips under cooked. Overall left extremely disappointed with a £240 bill for the pleasure. Service and food at this restaurant is progressively getting worse. They need to sort themselves out. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Visited for a family celebration and our server, Ahmet was amazing. World class! He has great banter, made us laugh, and is really attentive. Definitely would visit again.

What a beautiful meal we had at Millar and Carter! The food was amazing and the service was fantastic! Our waiter, Ahmet, was so lovely. He was friendly, very attentive and gave a number of great recommendations. He even convinced our little one to finish his meal by telling him he could ring the kitchen bell after dinner and say hi to the head chef (which made our little ones day)! It was the perfect family friendly meal out!

Terrible service - our family’s first outing to celebrate the birth of our baby. My almost 8 year old fell asleep by the time the food came out, which took over an hour. Staff were not empathetic, did not apologise, but blamed my partners choice of burger for taking so long! Extortionate price for such a poor service. No one checked in between the wait to see if we wanted more drinks neither. Was incredibly poor for a chain that charges a small fortune for steak!!!

Reception told us we could wait at the bar till they have a table ready for us which we loved. Was my first time dining here and the service by Ahmet was absolutely amazing. He was so funny and looked after us so well! Was always coming to us to make sure everything is ok, clearing our table, asking for any extra drinks and making sure that we all had a tailored experience. He has great humour and really made our night (you will be laughing all night) !! Ahmet was very down to earth and definetly needs the recognition for his services! Food: scallops and pork belly was great Calamari was also very good Keep room for dessert they got many options for everyone!!! Ahmet suggested some drinks & which ones were popular or that I may like which helped a lot. 🍸 Definetly will be coming back here in the future. We had a great experience! Ahmet, our server was lovely - so attentive! The food was also delicious and reasonably priced for the amount you get. We’ll definitely be back soon, it’s our favourite place to go for steak in Essex!

This was my first time dining here and I really loved the venue decor and atmosphere. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. The food was presented well and tasted good. However, I felt the ribeye steak lacked flavour and the service time was a little slow, but it was a busy evening. Overall though, I enjoyed my evening and will definitely visit here again.

Was a really nice restaurant and food was great. Location is also away from city life. This is so far the best miller and Carter restaurant.

Came for dinner with my husband last night and was served by Laurie, made great recommendations and was really friendly which made us feel welcome, service was fast and professional and food was incredible, would definitely recommend

Excellent. Excellent. Excellent. We had a party of 20 following a family internment, with family from all over the UK in attendance. We arrived early for our booking and were immediately accommodated. The staff in general bent over backwards for us at every turn and our main waitress (sorry didn't get your name) was absolutely superb. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her. She was also excellent with the 3 young grandchildren in the party and was totally on the ball at every stage. Order taking was swift and as perfect as every other part of the visit. The food was delicious, hot, plentiful and it all came out together, ensuring not a single guest was left waiting. I simply can't thank her (in particular) and the team enough for doing such an awesome job today. It rounded off the day absolutely perfectly.

I would not recommend on a Saturday night as it was over crowded and poor staff run ragged.

Laurie took our order and was excellent. She works very hard. Thank you so much.

Visited here on a weekend away, and the food was fantastic, and the waiter was so friendly and engaged with our 6 year old and made his night too

Hayley was a lovely server, always checking to make sure our large table was well accommodated.

Went in after work by myself 13:25 polite gentleman seated me and said my waitress April would be with me in 2 minutes, he even said to her ‘1 top’. As soon as I sat down I could tell I was being ignored and decided if I wasn’t at least acknowledged by a waiter/waitress within 15 minutes then I would leave. Clearly didn’t like the look of me.

First time here trying this restaurant, took a friend out for lunch and was very disappointed. My husband had a grissly steak, 2 bits of onion, half a tomato and all our chips were definitely not fresh, portions very small and very overly priced for what we got. 3 people 2 alcoholic drinks 1 orange juice. Waited when seated for a long time for drinks and then orders. Waitress only appeared occasionally. Will not be going back.

Had a lovely family dinner at Miller & Carter (Epping). The steaks were spot on, and Sophie made our night with her cheerful service and spot-on food suggestions. She really looked after us well, making sure my wife and daughter were happy throughout the meal. Can't wait to go back!

We had a superb Sunday sharing board at the Epping Forest branch.The steaks, lamb and chicken were perfectly cooked and accompanied by plentiful amounts of potatoes, veg and gravy. We had mini desserts and coffee afterwards. Service was friendly and helpful. Will certainly return.

Thank you to Michael and Sophie for the excellent service at Miller & Carter Epping Forest! We booked a table in advance, and after calling them a few times due to troubles with the original booking time, Michael was incredibly sincere and accommodating. He greeted us at the front of the restaurant upon arrival, mentioning that he remembered our phone call and was understanding of our booking troubles. During the meal itself, no request we had was too much trouble for them. Michael was especially helpful with ordering our food which had special requests. He were so kind and friendly, it made our visit that extra bit special. The food was served quickly, as was the drinks, and everything was cooked to perfection. Our server Sophie was attentive and conversational, taking her time to ensure we had a great meal. The table was cleared quickly after each course, and we were offered drinks in a timely manner during the meal. We cannot thank Michael and Sophie enough for turning our nightmare evening into a pleasant experience. We dine in this branch whenever we choose Miller & Carter, and would most definitely come back again!

We ordered a portion that was meant for one person, what a treat!! The giant, heavy steak, super juicy and delicious, accompanied by salad, fries and crispy fried onions. We loved it and will definitely be back. ... ohh, I was forgetting the refreshing drink made with citrus fruits and vodka. Everything was wonderful.

We shared the Cote de Boeuf, having it with the red wine sauce, blue cheese dressing, and sauteed greens. The meet is said to be served medium, but nearly half was more medium raw than medium. They do have an option to carve the meet for you, which we asked for, and that worked well. The food was tasty in general. They do use a bit too much oil on their greens for my taste, though, and their steak knives are not sharp on the tip side, but the back part nearer to the handle works fine. They have friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. There is plenty of parking as well.

If you’re looking for a venue that makes you feel like you’re kinda a big deal & treated extra special get yourself down to Miller & Carter, Epping Forest 🥰. When announced we were celebrating a No Kid day, (NK) we were quickly transported back to our just us days from walking through the door & being greeted with a friendly smile to being shown to our booth were we was waited on by the lovely Clare. Nothing was too much trouble & Clare was attentive throughout and even offered great alternatives to our usual options & favourites. The whole time was a complete celebration from start to finish from an amazing menu packed full of choice & tasty steaks to the brilliant service where nothing was too much trouble. Thank you M&C for training your staff to make the customer feel special every step of the way- we’ll be back for for my Mothers Day treat … with the kids footing the bill this time 🥰

Lovely afternoon nice food the service by Lucy was fab will return another time .

Overall it was a pretty average meal, the biggest disappointment came with the sharing steak, every other steak restaurant has the steak pre cut for you. They didn't do that here. Starters were ok, dessert was pretty poor. Our waitress was nice but service was slow, having empty plates on our table for a long time, always having to ask for a drink rather than someone coming over to serve you. I won't be rushing back.

It does what it says on the tin. Miller and Carter is a relatively up market chain of steakhouses, and they deliver on that promise. My partner went for the sea bass which was a good test of their non steak cookery and they had done a great job of cooking it. If the steak had been that good the food would have had five stars. The 50 day aged black Angus sirloin came out medium rather than medium rare, and though you expect sirloin to be firmer than some other steaks it was a little chewy and I found it hard to detect the dry aged flavours I'd expect. Good but not great. The deserts of sticky toffee pudding and tiramisu were however delightful.

Come there as a walk in at 18:30, they told me to wait one hours. I said, I don’t make the booking anymore on their website, tables being available from 19:45. I said… I will wait at the bar, with a drink and a snack. After 1h when I saw they were not even looking at us, even if we were the first customers waiting for a table at bar, the room got full and one by one all other people received a table. ( not sure if all had reservations) as on the website, I managed to make a booking at 20:00, but still didn’t receive a table. At 20:27 they come to invite us to the table, but I was already on the phone with Primo piatto,their neighbours which they could accommodate us, without hesitation. Don’t recommend this restaurant as a walk in. Go to enjoy the evening somewhere where staff will actually care about customers

Miller and Carter Epping it’s very lovely Steak house , very welcoming, food tasty and cooked as you like, staff very friendly and with experience in all menu they have . Drink is good and everything for everyone. We do visit when we fancy a good quality of beef , I had wagyu beef and I liked, hopefully they will bring more often in the menu. I think pavlova was quite to large. Starters very good and mains also very yummy with desserts and drinks as well.

Came here last night for my Daughter's Birthday.. We had A Wonderful waitress called Polly... She was very attentive & done Check backs Answered our Questions & was very Happy. The Steaks we had were Fillets, Sirloin & Ribeye... Please Thank the Chefs as they were all cooked to our perfection.. I Definitely will be Back...

A group of me and my friends from work came to miller and Carter yesterday for lunch and drinks and we were very impressed with our experience there from the drinks to the food and the service from Henry all contributed for a great time, had the cote de bouf to share with my friend and it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazingly, would definitely recommend if looking forward a steakhouse in the Epping area.

Felt very welcomed by the managers at the start and was well looked after by our server Henry who was very knowledgeable with the menu and made me feel comfortable there regarding my allergies, food was served in a good time and to a high standard as well as the drinks, would definitely recommend this miller and Carter

Ahmet was a fantastic at looking after me and friends. He’s got an infectious personality and went above and beyond for us. Making sure we felt comfortable and that there was nothing wrong with our meal etc.

I had an amazing experience at this steakhouse! The steak was cooked to perfection, tender, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was top-notch. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended

Great steaks, and a nice varied menu. But most of all the service from Laurie in particular makes this place one we return to time and time again. Laurie goes above and beyond. Warm, knowledgeable and her experience shows in her fast but smooth service. My son particularly loves seeing her every visit. Thank you Laurie for always making us feel like VIP's. Undercook steak. Been asking for medium and my steak was rare full of blood... I been asking for a new one as i did put the sauce on it and they just offer me to remake the same steak on the grill which of course i refuse it! So they ruin our dinner. Never come back. Also the manager was rude and did not even apologize just took my plate.

My first meal in a Miller and Carter tonight. Really delighted. The food was delicious. The server Hayley, was very helpful. I will definitely return. This is food and service to another level. Thanks to the team at M&C Epping.

Had better experiences here, definitely gone down hill. Visited on a sunday afternoon and was expecting to be given the sunday roast menu which we wasnt, we had to ask for this which was odd as this is a new addition to their menu which they are currently promoting. It was probably a good 45min wait for our food and we all ordered the sunday roast sharer platter (4 people) so that is 2 roast platters... it was all lovely however rationing on the veg. Service was incredibly slow and waitress very forgetful... i think we spent a good hour and half just waiting for things to be honest. Won't be in a rush to go back.

The atmosphere was wonderful. Clean and well lit. The table was clean. Our server Lucy was a wonderful host. Food was amazing, nice sized portions, steak cook perfectly.

Very slow service, over an hour for main course, but what was most concerning, my partner has allergies, ordered creme brulee, and informed server , who came back to tell us there was no ingredients listed on the packet!!! Left us speechless, ordered ice cream instead, but certainly won't be returning, to establishment, that takes it time to serve mysterious food in packets???
