The best restaurants in East Hertfordshire East of England

One of the places I kept meaning to try and never did, it is out of the way and easily missed if you don't know where it is. We had dinner in here before a show at the Corn Exchange, I had 3 small plates, 2 off the main menu and 1 off the specials board and my partner had the Katsu curry. There was plenty of food, well presented and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend giving this place a try, you won't regret it.

We booked The exhibitionist for our daughters birthday, pizza making (including a GF option) mock tails, ice cream factory, karaoke- and they really enjoyed the art on show, nothing was to much and Stella pulled out all the stops to ensure they all had a fabulous night. Can’t thank you guys enough- 100% recommend!

We met my younger brother who actually arrived before and had already made himself comfortable . We had 2 baguette’s 1 Cheese & onion and 1 Cajun chicken and omg I have never eaten such amazing fresh tasting baguettes 😋 ,the tea, danish pastries also Heidi and Alex were knowledgable ,helpful and nothing was too much trouble ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ fantastic so much that I was saying to my brother that their doughnut tasted like what we had as children from Kossoff a famous Jewish bakers who made the best doughnuts ever🤭😋 Thank you Heidi for giving us yours very much appreciated . Great coffee. Beautiful surroundings inside and out. I have been several times, sometimes with a friend, sometimes alone.

I have eaten food from the CFC several times now and have not yet been disappointed! It is fresh with punchy ingredients and leaves you totally satisfied. Delicious.

Really enjoyed my meal here. I had grilled salmon which was lovely. Server couldn't of been nicer, will 100% return.

Best breakfast in Bishops Stortford and to be honest probably the best breakfast I’ve had. The quality of ingredients is second to none and it is always consistently excellent. I tend to visit with my family (three boys 4 and under) and the staff are always so friendly and so welcoming. Without fail the boys are giving colouring on arrival. There are also toys they which keep them entertained and sufficient number of high chairs. It is just a welcoming place for everyone, whether it’s a couple, a family or even people bringing their dogs. I cannot fault this place and whenever I’ve had breakfast outside from Toaster I cannot help but I’d been here. Always very clean and you can tell breakfast is cooked to order.

I booked in the entire space for my husband’s 40th surprise party and I can’t tell you how happy I am with how everything went! I had been looking for a venue for a while and when I saw Paisá it was perfect! Lorenzo and his staff were so helpful in helping me to plan the evening! The food and drinks were spectacular and I couldn’t recommend this place more! They were super accommodating on the day as well and everything went to plan and all executed smoothly. I highly highly highly recommend and would definitely rebook for future events!!

I had bought a wheel of tete de moine last Christmas, which The Cheese Plate had posted to me. It was great and I wanted another one this Christmas but this time I thought I'd drive up to Buntingford and see what else they have. Fortunately I was able to buy their last wheel of tete de moine, which, surprisingly, was the same price as last year! But they had some lovely other cheeses too - a spread of English, French, Swiss, Italian and Spanish I believe. The highlight was the creamy/gooey gorgonzola but I also bought a small pot of garlic jelly - something I hadn't seen before and an excellent morbier, far better than what's on offer in supermarkets.

Great atmosphere, great service and nice pit stop to grab a quick hot drink. A nice area to sit outside too

Amazing drinks loads and loads of options !! Staff are amazing anf super friendly, food is also gorg. Love so much come back alll the time !!!!

By far the best coffee in Sawbridgeworth! Had a delicious Pastel de Nata. Lovely cafe with cosy indoor seating and a nice terrace in warmer weather.
