Paisá in East Hertfordshire

A good friend suggested this place for a coffee, we ended up staying for dinner. The staff are lovely, the food is delicious and the prices are fair.

Went to Paisa last night and had an excellent experience. Staff were welcoming and knowledgeable, food was lovely with generous portions. We had the cheese board, arancini, cannelloni and aubergine focaccia. The focaccia was amazing, I’m still thinking about it! We also had some delicious pistachio cannoli for dessert. Service was excellent throughout. Well done!

Come back here time and time again, and always lives up to expectations! The service is 10/10, the ambience is lovely, the people, the decor, the food, and couldn't be more complimentary. Well done team x

I booked in the entire space for my husband’s 40th surprise party and I can’t tell you how happy I am with how everything went! I had been looking for a venue for a while and when I saw Paisá it was perfect! Lorenzo and his staff were so helpful in helping me to plan the evening! The food and drinks were spectacular and I couldn’t recommend this place more! They were super accommodating on the day as well and everything went to plan and all executed smoothly. I highly highly highly recommend and would definitely rebook for future events!!

Everything perfect, top Italian aperitif

Highly recommended. I had a wonderful lunch here with my wife on 26th Nov. Great food and wine, reasonably priced, with warm and friendly service. The mixed board (to share) was delicious, and the Grappa amarone "Legiare" (amber\dark aged grappa) finished the meal on a high note. So good, we're going back for my birthday on the 10th Dec!

Great choice of drinks, lots of non-alcoholic options which I appreciated as I don’t drink. The food was good, nice presentation and quick service. I would say was a little bit expensive but the atmosphere and the service was really enjoyable

This place is amazing. Not only is the food delicious and the decor fab, but the staff are WONDERFUL. I’m always treated so well there. I’ve even been with my baby and a friend with her baby and the staff were so accommodating and sweet. Thank you for being a great addition to the town.

Been to Paisa twice, 1st time just for cocktails, the 2nd for food and drinks. We love this place. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They’ve nailed the authenticity! We love the ambiance. A great atmosphere for a bit of sophistication or to impress on a date.

Charged £2 for the tiniest mayo sauce!!! Sauce with chips is free in every other restaurant or cafe, ridiculous to be charging for a teaspoon of sauce this day and age. £2 I wouldn't of asked for ketchup or mayo if I knew we were going to be robbed for the condiments! If it wasn't for the sneaky hidden cost of the half teaspoon of mayo then we would of liked the place! But to charge for mayo when you order chips is absurd. Not even McDonald's charges for sauce. Stingy stingy! Gave 2 stars because we did like the place initially before the bill came.

Great evening here. Staff are relaxed, friendly and attentive. Food was great, the menu doesn't do justice to what arrives in front of you. Nice wine list with lots of good options. Looking forward to returning and sampling more of the menu!

I very rarely give 5 star reviews, i fact I don’t think I have at all. However this place deserves it, simple food made brilliantly. Wish I had ordered more! The espresso martinis are incredible and there is a large list of cocktails to choose from. I just wish they had a beer on draft, but I can live without it! Huge wine list if that takes your fancy which I think this place is more geared towards. This place is perfect for an afternoon bite or a light lunch! We will 100% be coming back, sooner rather than later.

My favourite place! Infact the only place we go :). Each time we leave feeling a little tipsy, full and with a massive smile. Can’t fault anything! Amazing wines, superb cocktail options! And you Can’t get food of this quality anywhere!, expect here :)

‘It’s not a birthday without cake’ - and we were served a gorgeous slice of pistachio and white chocolate cake to celebrate my other half’s birthday 🥰 New favourite place in Stortford. Wonderful service, a fab Aperol Spritz, highly recommend the mixed platter to share!

We came for a Birthday lunch, and it was really outstanding! The focaccia is incredible and we shared the fried cheese starters, and it was really delicious and authentically Italian. Would highly recommend

Friendly, warm and genuine service from walking in to leaving. A thoughtful drinks menu, and most importantly delicious ingredients. The restaurant really knows how to take a classically Italian approach of doing simple well, accentuating the individual ingredients. Prices are fair, making it a great go to for regular lunches and dinners that don't break the bank or the waistline.

The quality of the ingredients is second to none, and the choice of drinks is impeccable - my favourite Ichnusa (beer) and Malvasia (white wine). The service is equally warm and professional: Francesca is the star of the show. This place is such a breath of fresh air. Thank you.

Lovely little piece of Italy in Bishops Stortford

I visit Paisá often and the team are always very polite and welcoming. The food is delicious (particularly the seafood sharer and the customisable foccacie!) and the cocktails are also well made with good quality ingredients. Would thoroughly recommend and easily my favourite bar and eating venue in Stortford!

Just... wow. Such a wonderful experience from start to finish. Friendly and helpful staff, who were very accommodating towards our 1-year-old. Efficient service (but not rushed), and the food was to die for. Without a doubt the best focaccia I've had outside of Italy, and beautifully seasoned chips with garlic aioli. And at the bargain price of £10 + drink at lunch time. I can't wait to come back to sample more of the menu. It was perfection.

I can not explain how impressed me and my partner were of this place. This place exceeded all expectations, and our expectations were high after being recommended to go here by so many people. The food was to die for.. i love cheese and meat boards and honestly these were the best cheese and meat boards we have ever had. The cocktails were amazing and flavoursome. My partner tried some beers he had never had before as these were sources from Italy and Sardinia.. which he loved all of them. And the dessert.. the white chocolate and pistachio cake is the best cake i have ever had and i am a huge desert person. It is a dream for anyone gluten free, i will be taking my mum who is Coeliac here shortly. Francesca served us all evening and she was the best waitress we have ever had. You could tell she loved the food and drink herself, she was able to recommend and advice portion sizes. She named and described all the cheese and meats so we knew exactly what we were eating and all the staff were friendly, welcoming and smiley. I loved to see how many dogs were in here aswell, completely dog friendly. My two can come with me next time and there will certainly be a next time and shortly.

Even the fact that it stays side by side with a very busy road, nothing affects its quality. Molto bene!

Visited for the first time today (for lunch). Had the homebaked Focaccia sandwich which was outstanding in both taste and presentation. A great wine and food spot!

I'm Italian, I live in Cardiff and I was in town for a day. The bar and cocktails have been my job for about 28 years, I am very fussy and attentive at work and in this place I have not been able to find a single flaw.... EVERYTHING PERFECT as an Italian wine bar should be. I hope to return and I truly recommend it, I felt at home. Thank you.
