Great little cafe. Excellent choice of snacks and very helpful and friendly staff. Vegan food, freshly prepared and very tasty.

If the managers reading this can you comment on when you are likely to reopen for the public, particularly for the plants.

Popped here today, after exercise class at Halstead Leisure centre, for breakfast. Today we had wild mushrooms on sour dough toast with a poached egg and it was delicious and great value for money. Always clean cafe and great service. If I had to offer and improvement I would have liked a few more mushrooms but I am greedy!!! I would recommend this cafe highly, for breakfast

Perfect full English - came here after staying at Newcombes and attending a wedding at The White Hart. We were very warmly greeted as soon as we arrived and offered tea/coffee, fab service, delicious breakfast and a good price 👍🏻

We chose this Pub for sentimental reasons for a family gathering and we weren’t disappointed. It’s like going back in time but in good way as this is how good local Pubs used to be. We weren’t disappointed and were able to commandeer a large area to accommodate our gathering which gave us a degree of seclusion. The food is different with baked Essex Huffers (which I didn’t know existed!) filled with a choice of home smoked meats such as brisket, pork or turkey, chicken parmigiana, Shrimp po-boy Spicy Mexican beans (vegetarian). Plus the loaded fried are scrumptious. The Staff were very accommodating and helped create a really chilled out family gathering plus it didn’t break the Bank! Would highly recommended.

Amazing place, the food was incredible and the owners are so lovely! They allowed me to hire the venue for an afternoon tea party for a surprise baby shower and they truly went above and beyond with it! Everyone was commenting on how incredible the food was (there wasn’t much left!) and how friendly but professional the staff were! Will definitely be in touch again for future events and family outings as they also provide high chairs for babies/toddlers which is so helpful as I have twin toddlers so it’s great to know they can be safe while we all enjoy a drink and some cake! Lovely friendly staff. Even at busy times the staff remained really focused & served people with a smile. Drinks are very reasonably priced & I will become a regular.

I discovered Carrie's Kitchen whilst at the adjacent Wheatsheaf pub. I noticed a customer coming out with a delightful looking cake and couldn't help wandering to see what was on offer. The range of sweet treats on offer changes from week to week and never fails to delight. The two ladies here are always very happy and friendly and always willing to go out of their way to make sure us customers have a great experience! I genuinely cannot recommend Carrie's Kitchen enough.

This lovely friendly little cafe has the best cakes and the best tasting coffee I have ever had. Lovely staff. Highly recommend.

Found this place couple months ago and it’s now the go to place. I only eat from 2 other places in witham but this is my go to place for good value for money

Stopped in for coffee with my wife and the place is simply amazing from the staff to the food. Having had it in the past. I must say the full English breakfast is on par with places like London’s Shard and other top hotels. In fact it’s so good I’d say it leaves London wanting and most other cafes needing to learn how to cook. I’d give it ten stars if could and I my wife and kids would do the same. Awesome must go if you head into Braintree.

What a fantastic evening hosted by darraline Tasting german wines with fantastic food and firends. Darraline are such good entertainers and hospitality experts everything they provide is theater. Food was FANTASTIC one hell of a spread they put on for sure and totally unexpected. I would highly recommend booking darraline to host your private events you will not be disappointed. Left feeling full content and looking foward to the next one. Thanks guys

Nick served us a great bap!! Chelsea cooked, and both served us with smiles and courtesy, despite being on the verge of closing. Would definitely stop here for pleasant service and good tasting breakfast!! Thank you 😊
