The best restaurants in East Midlands

Ordered online via Bigfoodie platform expecting meal to be delivered. This was not the case as I ended up having to collect. Food wasn't ready at given collection time & had to wait for 10/15 mins. Food was ok (Ribs very fatty & fried rice seemed to have as many peas as rice - not keen on peas in my rice) but nothing to shout about & certainly not worthy of the praises sung by others. Perhaps I have too many fond memories of when old Tom held the reigns of Spalding's first Chinese Restaurant.

I’ve been to Harper and Finch a few times now and every time it’s been wonderful. I took my grandparents last time and they absolutely loved it! The service is always so friendly and the food will never disappoint - especially with the size of the slices of cake on the afternoon tea! We’ll be back very soon!

Amazing authentic Indian Food. The portion sizes are great for the very reasonable prices you pay. Incredible flavour too! Great service all round and a really pleasant, homely atmosphere inside the restaurant. Best Indian Restaurant in Harborough, for sure!

lovely ice creams , very reasonable and cheap three ice creams costed around £6 something , lovely variety of desserts such as donuts , milkshakes etc !! 100% recommend coming to bizzy lizzies if in skegness!! x

We recently had the pleasure of hiring this incredible Indian catering company for my cousins wedding and we are still blown away by the experience! From the very start, their team was professional, accommodating and went above and beyond to meet every request we had. But let me tell you, the food - wow! Every dish was bursting with authentic flavours, beautifully presented and made with the freshest ingredients. We couldn’t stop raving about the variety, from the rich curries to the delicious puris. My niece is still talking about how amazing the food was. If you're looking for top-tier vegetarian Indian food for your event, look no further - this catering company is the one to go with. Pizzas were tasteless, they forgot to put sausage onto the sausage and pepperoni, and only 5 pieces of pepperoni. Cookies were good.

Best Cafe in Workshop for good value, honest, fresh cooked food. The staff we have always found to be friendly and efficient too. My wife and family have been frequenting this place for more than 15 years and have never had a bad experience. Yes the building is old Victorian era and has been many things before in its past, so it has obviously been knocked around quite a bit. This for me gives it character, look at the old creaky staircase and wonder who and how many people climbed them in the past.... If this building could speak it would tell some interesting.tales I'm sure. There are many things you could say are not great standard if you are hard to please but the food quality and staff are top notch and this makes it a comfortable place to eat, our type of cafe. My particular fave dish is the Cheese Omelette, but between me, my wife and our children we have tried quite a good selection from the menu without complaints. We are always greeted on entry and the food is always served in a timely fashion, with a smile. We have tried other cafes in Workshop but they don't have the value, character or warmth that this one has. So try it out, if it's not for you go and be robbed by some of the other pirates in Worksop.

Excellent deli with fresh sandwiches, bread at the weekends and wonderful cheeses/meats. Friendly service with alot of knowledge about the products!

We came with our 2 children for dinner. Beautiful food and the service was lovely too. Loved the cosy atmosphere. The servers were very attentive and happy to accommodate the children as well. Food arrived in great time as did the drinks. So yummy

Food is some of the best curry I’ve had in Leicester. Great prices too especially when you have NHS discount on top of it. Only qualm is you often wait a while for your food even when the place is empty. Apart from that I’ve been here so many times and will continue to due to the quality of the food.

Living temporarily in Bulwell and I was recommended to Try the tastiest burger from uber eats. I live off a plant diet and it was well good.
