Always really tasty food and decent prices. The veggie options are great, and the owner is super friendly whenever you call. A solid local takeaway you can rely on.

Today 14th April 2025, served by a very obnoxious person who was obviously in a bad mood, she greeted me with a grunt, what do you want, told her beans on toast and a cup of tea because the last time her food was cold so thought i would make it easy for her, she gave me 3 slices of burnt toast stacked on top of each other with cold beans on the side of the plate, she slammed the tea down on the table, a few minutes later whilst i was deciding whether to eat the food she said do you want to pay which i did, whilst she slammed the change down on the counter and whilst walking away from me towards the kitchen she was calling me a weirdo which was very insulting and her bad attitude is disgusting and she as ruined my 3 times a week venue (she only served me twice) both times with an attitude. her customer service skills are very lacking in the skills part ?

Would highly recommend visiting The Chequers. We stopped by for lunch, had the seared salmon, tarragon & confit chicken Kiev & crème fraiche panna cotta. There were a number of specials displayed on the chalk board although we decided to stay with the main menu this time. All absolutely excellent. Warm welcome & great service. We will definitely visit again. Thank you.

Nice atmosphere and great food. Service was prompt and always very attentive. Compete with one or two other restaurants nearby, but this is definitely the best one.

My wife and I visited the Club for Sunday Lunch on 06th June 2021. We were very impressed with the hearty welcome of the staff and the way we were treated in general. After reviewing the comprehensive Luncheon Menu I had the traditional Roast Beef and Y/Pudding and my wife had the Steak and Ale Pie. The meals were very good and presented as well as any first class Restaurant. All the ingredients were cooked perfectly to our liking. The drinks we ordered were very reasonably priced,as was the menu meals and deserts. will be visiting again for sure very soon. We were so full and satisfied we could not handle dessert. Oils have been a bit faster however food was exceptional. Enjoyed it to the bone.

Has lorenzos been taken over? I've always ordered from here since opening but last few times I've ordered its been awful! Shame as this was the best takeaway in clipstone!.

A sign of a great chippy is that it’s always busy. Amazing fresh. Always tastes amazing. Couldn’t wish for better service or food. Chris is the best fryer around!

Good menu and range, order online to pay with card, store is cash only. Food was fast, tasted good, came with free poppadoms. Reasonably priced. Like the open front kitchen, you can see exactly that it's well cooked.

Really good pizzas, great chilli and garlic sauces. Best in Kettering by far!!
