Stayed here for a night with my friend and I could not recommend it more!! It was clean and Abbie was lovely. We stayed in a bell tent which was ideal as we only had to bring sleeping bags. We had a nice picnic bench and a bbq. The toilets and showers were AMAZING!! So clean and modern. The campsite was lovely with stunning views and only 10 minute drive from Buxton. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn’t open when we went but overall it was an amazing stay I will definitely be coming back!

Camping trip for our son’s 12th birthday. Weather pants as usual! The campsite is clean and the staff well organised. We ordered a fire pit which was promptly delivered with all we needed. The food… oh my, it’s fantastic. We had 3 boys with us who loved the pizzas. The burgers were fantastic - served slightly pink which is my favourite. The service was A* and staff very polite and attentive. The sports bar area has a great atmosphere - relaxed and cosy. We sat in a generous booth where even our Patterdale was welcome 😂

I drive past this pub every week visiting family and keep promising to stay overnight in our Campervan - i think in the winter months it is just a Brit Stop site but we stayed on the campsite with electric hook up. Upon arrival a very friendly girl greeted us and showed us our pitch and explained where everything was. The site is small but very flat and quite large pitches, they have 4 Bell Tents is you don’t want the hassle of setting up your own accommodation. Toilets and showers were clean and some have proper cubicles with toilet, sink and shower combined which I love. We were incredibly lucky the weather was amazing so we headed through the gate to the beer garden which at the moment has an enormous inflatable structure for the Euro’s football which is packed on nights England are playing we were told, they had set up additional seating nearer the pub entrance for those not wanting to watch football. Service was warm and friendly and the inside of the pub is absolutely lovely - modern but not too modern, a mixture of seating areas some with huge tables designed for large groups. We visited on a Wednesday ( pub closed Monday and Tues) and its buy 1 pizza get 1 free - the full menu is only Thursday,Friday Saturday. We knew it was only pizza on Wednesday and we were more than happy with the choice. We had booked a table but chose to eat outside because it was so warm. The pizzas were amazing, fantastic base and plenty of topping. Last orders for food is 9pm and I would imagine if it’s quiet the bar would shut soon after but it was a fairly busy night and was still serving past 10pm. We sat outside our van til fairly late as it was one of those very rare warm evenings ( it is a very windy area as it is quiet exposed, in the winter its bitter up there). Great night sleep even though it was about 3/4 full the campsite was extremely quiet. I can’t recommend this place enough for both camping and food and as it’s only 30 mins from home I think it will become a go to place for a cheap overnight stop.

I heard good things about the pizzas, so we tried one as camping on site. Great decision, was amazing, one of the best I've ever had. Also had chilli loaded fries which were a ten. Would definitely drive there just for another. Also had great ales. Next day, we watched the football at a great table with personal tv. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Can't fault it 👍

I visited these tearooms with my daughters on Friday 24th May. I have been to other tea shops in Bakewell, but Toscas is by far the best. We had afternoon tea for three of us, we sat outside in the court yard. The afternoon tea arrived and there was lots of lovely cake and sandwiches, beautifully presented, and our host friendly and gave us a warm welcome. We really enjoyed our afternoon tea, very civilised, we will defiantly be visiting again. In fact we will have a day out to bakewell just to visit Toscas .

Lovely venue for a mid morning brunch, limited seating but such a pleasant cafe.

Fantastic cafe, the icing on the cake (no pun intended) being the birds feeding next to the window. The staff are friendly and efficient and the the food is of a good standard and reasonably priced. I can't understand the few negative reviews, maybe some folk have unfeasibly high standards/expectations?

Friendly staff, generous, well cooked breakfast. Highly recommend. We'll definitely call again. Dog friendly too which is a bonus.

I was really hoping for the wholesome, home cooked food that the price tag promised. The bean casserole tasted like a tin of baked beans with a whole load of dried sage stirred in. The salad could have been bought in a bag at Asda. I won't be going back.
