The best restaurants in Wigston St Wolstan's Oadby and Wigston East Midlands

Many thanks to the Star and Garter staff who looked after us yesterday. The staff were polite and helpful , they provided an excellent buffet, that was good value for money , thank you.

Grandes pasteles Buena comida Gran café Té horrible Como salón de té (y es hermoso) el té sabe horrible. No puedo entender esto como todo lo demás es tan bueno. Cambie sus bolsitas de té sueltas por algo de calidad.

Average food , small portions, pleasant initial waitress , rude and unapologetic waitress/owner who addressed the unacceptable wait times. Our experience echoes that in previous reviews about rude service and long wait times in not a hugely busy restaurant. We won't be returning.

I've ordered here many times before and never had an issue. But the Garlic Bread was burnt i actually told them as i saw it coming out burnt but they just told me thats how it is. The guy in the back said in 10 years no one has ever complained as if to tell me its not burnt they were arguing with me even though i showed it to them. Also i asked for chilli sauce and was told its in the pizza box - got home to find garlic sauce. Threw garlic bread away as was for my son who will not be eating burnt food. Advise to go elsewhere as service is poor and if you mention it they will argue with you to say its right.

Somos locales y nunca hemos estado aquí. Sin duda recomendaría ya que el desayuno inglés completo (2 de todo) era excelente. Fue muy sabroso, caliente y de gran valor. El lugar está limpio y el personal es muy educado. Volveremos una y otra vez, estoy seguro ahora. Gracias

My daughter & I went to the Wigston Cheesecake shop on 8th February 2021 approximately 11.30 am. We saw a cheescake we liked in the open fridge cabinet and tried to find someone to help us. My daughter saw the young female assistant doing something behind the counter and after a waiting for her we had to get her attention and ask if we could have the cheesecake we chose. She took it to the back & after a while returned to start writing on her clipboard and she totally ignored us. I asked her what happened to our cheesecake and she said that it was out of date and should not have been on display in the first place and continued writing on her clipboard. We received no apology and she didn't seem to care about us. We walked out in disbelief at the terrible service. We then went to Gregg's instead across the road and got some delicious doughnuts and the lady was so friendly and gave the best service with a smile. The cheesecake shop should learn from Gregg's what service with a smile means. WELL DONE GREGG'S & THANKS FOR YOUR EXCELLENT SERVICE! Will never visit the Cheesecake Shop again!

plato Sizzler Tandoori es fabuloso, encantador finas y suaves naan panes. La gran variedad de comida en el menú y los precios son razonables. Los chefs solía trabajar en nuevo hostal de carretera que siempre nos gustó de todos modos. Pub es agradable, temas especiales del botón de nada. bien si vas como parte de un grupo, no realmente el ambiente para una escapada romántica.

Helen is a lovely server, we visit frequently and always enjoy it. Food is always perfect and very quick service. She is so kind and willing to go out of her way to ensure that we have the best experience possible :)

Went on a Monday night and it was empty. Got a medium veggie pizza for a tenner. Bargain! They even added extra vegan pepperoni for me. Hot tasty pizza!

So far super tasty! Fresh and amazing customer service , would really recommend so far! Very enjoyable!

Great food and service for cost

Nuestro grupo ha comido en este restaurante un par de veces este año cuando se llamaba Marmaris y también cuando supuestamente estaba bajo nueva gestión y tenía experiencias agradables. Esta ocasión fue diferente, el servicio fue lento, el personal no parecía saber lo que estaban haciendo y estaban mal supervisados! Después de ordenar, nuestra red llega. Bueno, en realidad no todos, uno estaba desaparecido! Esto finalmente apareció entre 10 y 15 minutos después y la comunicación del personal durante ese tiempo fue abismal. Los otros comensales no sabían si comenzar sus comidas o no. Miembro de nuestro partido estaba haciendo toda la persecución. No hay disculpas reales cuando llegó la comida. ¡Esto arruinó nuestra noche! Posteriormente se han puesto en contacto con la dirección a través de Messenger y están culpando al nuevo personal que da la comida a otra mesa, pero de nuevo no se disculpa. ¡Lo siento, o supervisa correctamente al personal nuevo o se hace responsable de sus errores que el restaurante no ha podido hacer hasta ahora!

I went in here for some late night fishies and the chippings and when I went inside there on the floor was the remains of someones blood from a wigston punch up in the chip shopIt was not a sight a woman should see who only went in the place because she was hungryI decided against ordering seeing the state of the place and decided to raid the cupboards at home instead for something to eat as you do as a plan bI do not think I will go in here again and will choose a cleaner chip shop instead and I definitely wouldn't go in here late at night on a Friday or saturday
