My daughter & I went to the Wigston Cheesecake shop on 8th February 2021 approximately 11.30 am. We saw a cheescake we liked in the open fridge cabinet and tried to find someone to help us. My daughter saw the young female assistant doing something behind the counter and after a waiting for her we had to get her attention and ask if we could have the cheesecake we chose. She took it to the back & after a while returned to start writing on her clipboard and she totally ignored us. I asked her what happened to our cheesecake and she said that it was out of date and should not have been on display in the first place and continued writing on her clipboard. We received no apology and she didn't seem to care about us. We walked out in disbelief at the terrible service. We then went to Gregg's instead across the road and got some delicious doughnuts and the lady was so friendly and gave the best service with a smile. The cheesecake shop should learn from Gregg's what service with a smile means. WELL DONE GREGG'S & THANKS FOR YOUR EXCELLENT SERVICE! Will never visit the Cheesecake Shop again!

Popped in today as I had an inexplicable hankering for a coffee and cake. New ownership takes their job seriously. Very helpful in making choices. Had a coffee and cake before choosing some takeaway cakes. Lovely room upstairs for groups of 4 and more. Massive selection as always. Very fresh. I will be back.

Popped in to get a treat for the family. On entering the place is rather small and cramp if you wanted to sit in. The selection of cakes are awesome, price friendly too. We wanted to three half cakes to take away so waited to be served and waited some more and you guessed it, waited even more even though there was only 1 person in the shop with a child seated. One of the staff even came down the stairs and walked straight into the back and carried on with her work. In the end, I spoke up and asked if I was ever going to be served. A whole mango and passion fruit cheesecake and also a half toffee crumble cheesecake were purchased. Nicely boxed for us in a secure and sturdy box. Finally arriving home, the toffee apple cheesecake was amazing. Being a avid traveller to USA, it brought back some amazing memories. The cake is light, not too sweet and delicious. Cant wait to get back to Wigston (we are from 70 miles away), to get some more cheesecake!

Top choices of cakes averaging £4.10 (eating in with added fruit and cream on the plate). £1.70 for a double expresso. Pleasant staff and service.

Went here by fluke because we went to the Rockies down the road first only to be completely ignored and made to feel invisible so gave this place a try. The first thing you could not help but be overwhelmed by was the friendly greeting and hello from the staff as well as all the lovely items you can buy right in front of you so you know exactly what you will get and what you will pay. Secondly, we were told and explained how the prices work and the difference in takeaway and eat in. We wanted to eat in and were more than happy to pay a little extra for the service and sit down facility. The cakes themselves were amazing and I would not hesitate to go back anytime and recommend this place to anyone. Look forward to visiting again and big thank you to the staff here. Keep up the good work.

Stopped off for refuelling after a walk in the snow. Good hot chocolates and the fruit and nut chocolate cheese cake was amazing. There's a large selection of cakes and cheesecakes, available in single slices, quarters, halves and full cakes. Thoroughly recommend stopping by if you like a good cake - you won't be disappointed.

Took my friend here for cake and coffee. The first thing that strikes you when you enter the establishment is how high the counter is, and being so high means that it can take staff a little while to notice that you are there. After browsing the options available, and finally being acknowledged, we were shown a seat. My friend chose the coffee and sweet deal for £4.70, and I had a green tea (£1.80) and a slice of lemon glazed cheesecake (£3.30), which was a generous portion and really tasty. There are different prices for eating in and taking away. The café itself just didn't seem to have any ambience whatsoever, and no one came back to see if everything was ok, or if we wanted anything else, which is a shame, because although the premises isn't very big, it is a convenient venue to meet up with friends over delicious cake.

Lovely pub with good layout. Looks like Red Bass is the regular ale but unfortunately this rare treat was not on at time of visit. Infact this had disappointing foot traffic so maybe barralege is low? One of the cheapest pubs in the area, has a pool table and dart board. Hopefully more people will pay this one a visit!

Looks like a good community pub. Everard tied but seems to sell mostly larger. Two ales on, tiger and old original. I had the latter, which was off.... at over £4 a pint which is medium to high price for the area this was unfortunately not the best.
