The best restaurants in Mansfield East Midlands

Lovely bistro setting and atmosphere. Great customer service from Jam and Louise. Highly recommend for breakfast, coffee, lunch and cakes. Will definitely be back to try the cocktails!!

Can’t fault the food, cleanliness and service here. I love local and have been here a few times. Lovely little place for takeout or eating in.

In a high street dominated by chain cafe's and restaurants occasionally you find somewhere special. Luckily for us the usual suspects for a lunchtime coffee were all busy so we gave up and headed home, only to find this gem of a cafe. Small but spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, serving exceptional quality food and coffee at very reasonable prices. 2 full English breakfasts, we wasn't planning on these but saw another tables order and couldn't resist, 2 Cappuccinos and 2 cans of Coke, £20. The service was top notch by a lovely chap who not only took the orders but cooked the food and made the coffees. Deffo calling again.

How do they do it year after year? This is a restaurant staffed by students. They have limited experience but led by brilliant tutors they produce food that surpasses anything produced by any other restaurants in the area. The only fault with this restaurant is that it is so good that I can't get a table as often as I would like. I was trained as a chef here but it is better now than ever and I'm not ashamed to admit it. So, come on Mansfield, support your local college (but leave space for me to have a table every month at least)

I called in here for a coffee, on my own. The service was warm and welcoming. The atmosphere was comfortable and didn't overwhelm me (I'm autistic so that happens at a lot of cafes). The latte i had was so smooth and tasted amazing. I overheard customers talking about how nice their food is so I decided to have a full English breakfast. It tasted incredible and even as someone with a big appetite, I was left both full and happy. I will be coming back and recommending this place to friends

Sadly Prior's Well is now closing down. Gutted for the regulars who have become friends,the Stags fans who used this place and the many people who loved the music events held here. There's no other place like it in Mansfield. Will be missed. Good luck to the great staff who worked so hard to make this place what it was.

Went in for tea and cake got us a table sat waiting 20mins and never came to take our order they wasn't busy neither so we walked out

My review is in response to the previous review is that we visit the teahouse every week and I am very surprised at her negative comments my family and I have never heard any of staff be rude to customers as she suggests if she says they never answer phone can I say they are always very very busy and will answer phone if at all possible everyone has limits to what they can do with only two hands but they do have an answer phone to leave a message then they reply asap I’ve seen them do just that whilst we have been there if she arrived early the do get there early to prepare for the rush of customers and lots of work to do after all customers have gone and I cannot imagine any of staff being rude and shouting across car park and if anyone would be shouting I suspect it would be the lady in question not the staff,I think I can honestly say everyone who visits the teahouse would agree with me,please don’t let this negative review form this lady deter you from visiting the teahouse I guarantee you would not be disappointed the food is great the staff are definitely great and work very hard to keep customers happy including children and dogs.

First time visiting and definitely won’t be the last.. Found this place on Facebook and love to try new places. Well it definitely didn’t disappoint.. Went with my friend for lunch. We had booked a table which was all ready when we arrived.. Menu has a great variety. My friend and I both went for the soup and a toastie which was delicious. We also treated ourselves to some delicious cake. Very good sized portions and great value for money. Great find.. Already looking forward to my next visit.
