The best restaurants in Mansfield East Midlands

In a high street dominated by chain cafe's and restaurants occasionally you find somewhere special. Luckily for us the usual suspects for a lunchtime coffee were all busy so we gave up and headed home, only to find this gem of a cafe. Small but spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, serving exceptional quality food and coffee at very reasonable prices. 2 full English breakfasts, we wasn't planning on these but saw another tables order and couldn't resist, 2 Cappuccinos and 2 cans of Coke, £20. The service was top notch by a lovely chap who not only took the orders but cooked the food and made the coffees. Deffo calling again.

Lovely place we’ve been a few times now and would definitely recommend it for afternoon teas, meet-ups etc as it has a few different rooms you could have privately for your own party. Food is always of a good standard and the little shop downstairs is cute. Toilet is upstairs so beware if you can’t manage steepish steps.

This pub is so welcoming, clean and a fun environment to be in. The bar staff are polite and have such quick service. The beer tastes very fresh. I’ve been in on a Wednesday and Sunday where they do bingo, the prizes are excellent and it’s so worth £10 to play as you can win a lot as they’ve started to do double bubble and in the last 3 pages you have a chance to win £175!!!! Fridays and Saturdays are also very good as they have an amazing dj on who playes for the room so it includes everyone. I 100% recommend this pub to drink in if your stopping by or having a function as it’s one of the best in woodhouse

I ordered the freshly prepared Chicken and Pizza through Uber Eats for the first time which arrived within the hour and was at a good temperature and tasted lovely and juicy. Lots of various choices on the menu to suit all tastes.

Everything was amazing in terms of food. Delivery was bang on time, however I had written in the delivery notes to not ring the doorbell as my baby was in bed, he rang the doorbell leading to my daughter waking and becoming unsettled, so with me having to try to resettle her and get her back to bed, my food in turn went cold. If the delivery driver had not rang the bell then this could’ve been avoided.

Sadly Prior's Well is now closing down. Gutted for the regulars who have become friends,the Stags fans who used this place and the many people who loved the music events held here. There's no other place like it in Mansfield. Will be missed. Good luck to the great staff who worked so hard to make this place what it was.

We have been here many times and the food is always excellent. Great menu with fresh food with lots of choices. The customer service is exceptional and the staff are very friendly - always willing to help.

On a sunny afternoon, I visited the Tea House!! , a quaint spot with a brilliant atmosphere and great decor. I savored a lovely soft jacket potato with cheese and hot chili, bursting with flavor. To finish, their Aero cake— a minty, chocolatey slice with a biscuit base— was divine, as seen in the photo with its delicate white drizzle. The staff were warm, making the experience even more delightful. This hidden gem is a must-visit for a cozy, tasty escape!

Sausage: 3.0 – Always searching for the perfect fried breakfast and the sausages have to be the stars. At Casey's the bangers are listed as award-winning. Yes they are better than 90% of cafe offerings but still much room for upgrading. Other Ingredients: 3.5 – Good and poor on show. The bacon and black pud were good, toast crispy and fluffy at the same time, and well buttered. I opted for tinned toms instead of fresh to ensure plenty of mopping up juice, and along with the beans this was perfect. Eggs cooked beautifully, nice work! Finally the mushrooms, a bit dry but OK when dipped. Staff & Stuff: 4.5 – Wowzers, the friendliest staff In The World. What a lovely welcome from the ladies, and a lovely chat about butchers and sausages too. Casey's is very clean, with spotless white crockery, and half decent cutlery too. It was full of canny locals enjoying their local cafe, which is surely a reliable indicator of quality and value. Amazing location too. VFM: 4.0 - £12.20 for this breakfast, food £9.95 and tea £2.25 extra. Totally worth it in my opinion. You don't need to search for a better brekkie in Mansfield, Casey's is the one. Total 15.0
