The Horizon in Mansfield

I called in here for a coffee, on my own. The service was warm and welcoming. The atmosphere was comfortable and didn't overwhelm me (I'm autistic so that happens at a lot of cafes). The latte i had was so smooth and tasted amazing. I overheard customers talking about how nice their food is so I decided to have a full English breakfast. It tasted incredible and even as someone with a big appetite, I was left both full and happy. I will be coming back and recommending this place to friends

Cannot rate this place enough. The coffee was lovely, the omelette i had was fantastic, even the side salad was dripping in sauce or vinegarette. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

WHAT a find this place is! I didn't really want to big it up in case it gets too busy lol but I can't not review it, a 5/5. Couldn't believe how reasonably priced the menu was. My 'small' breakfast including a slice of toast and a pot of tea was only £7.50. There must have been half a dozen eggs in my friend's omelette! All cooked to perfection, piping hot, beautifully presented. Assume there is a decent selection of GF options too, as my friend is coeliac .The café interior is also delightful and the lady who served us very pleasant. The cat's whiskers! What's not to like. I'll be back :-D

A lovely breakfast with a nice strong flat white coffee. The lady running the show is so lovely and welcoming (our food came and she rocked our baby's pram until he fell asleep so we could eat !) we will be going back whenever we are in town.

Lovely traditional Turkish breakfast. Nice atmosphere. Staff and service excellent. Made to feel very welcome. Looking forward to trying more dishes on our next visits.

A very nice family-owned business. Staff is always very helpful and kind, food is very tasty and cake portions very big - make sure you have room for dessert but they can always pack it for you if you want. Belgian chocolate cake is really 👌 delicious. And instead of chips, ask for pastry with cheese inside- it was yummy.

Delicious English meets Turkish cuisine. Stopped in for a brunch. Full English is everything you'd hope for and the cheese and mushroom omelette was fantastic and filling. Loved the little salad it came with. Good coffee and one of the smoothest iced mochas I've had the pleasure of sipping. Comfy chairs an appreciated bonus.

Walked past whilst in Mansfield, well should say drove past on my mobility scooter and it looked quite busy, in town me and my wife bumped in to some old friends and they mentioned they had just been there and had a excellent meal, so on the way back to the car, we popped in. The waitress gave us lots of time to study the menu and was very polite, I had a fish dish for starters and a ham & cheese omelate which was massive and the wife had butterfly chicken that came with loads of side dishes. It is a family business and is very clean and tidy. All food is cooked from scratch so on a busy day you would have to wait but the wait is well worthy of it. The cafe also has customer toilets and is very spacious inside as well. I saw 2 lads come in for a Turkish Breakfast and it was massive and they left empty plates. We will def be back and support this local business

Stopped in for some lunch with GF. Food was amazing especially the bacon and cheeseburger. Service was excellent :)

Mansfield is the most beautiful and quality place to go. I go there often for breakfast, Bbq is very nice.

A hidden gem!! Popped in for a coffee with my daughter and was delighted! This lovely place in the corner of the town centre was friendly and welcoming. The music relaxing and creates a great atmosphere. Many varied coffees on the menu and served with a Turkish delight as a treat. On viewing the menu the food looked delicious and very reasonably priced! We will definitely return.

Beautiful, quaint, low key cafe with friendly and welcoming staff. Turkish menu. Great hospitality. Food was wonderfully presented and tasty. Great value. Toilets unfortunately were not clean, however.

I recommend this place to everyone. The dishes are fresh, tasty and large in relation to the price. The service was very nice and helpful. It's not the first time I've been with my wife and we'll always be happy to come back.

Had a breakfast £9.50 each & worth it, atmosphere perfect. Coffee wasn't warm enough for me but staff soon sorted. Great place def recommend.

I came here for a lunch meal. The place looks beautiful as an ambient and to take pictures. It is well soundproofed and the noise from outside is not too loud, there were other noisy customers but when they left everything was very warm and cozy. It is suitable for people who want to eat, drink something but quietly, being a small place it gives you a warmth, some tables are very close, so it depends on who is next to your table, for the first experience here it was nice. And as food, I ordered Adana Kofte, I really liked it, it was tasty and in combination with the rest it was to my taste, being a lover of Turkish food. My partner got the Butterflies Chicken, it wasn't very flavorful, a bit bland and it looked like it needed a little more cooking. Turkish teas were good, but I've tasted even better elsewhere. As for the service, the lady was nice and even recommended us to move to a bigger table after we ordered the food to have more space. I want to mention that it is not 100% Turkish, it is a successful combination to combine the appetites of English citizens. I give it 5 stars and as a small town Mansfield was a nice place to have lunch! I will come back again! P.S: The view is beautiful from the window, you feel the place full of history.

We had a lovely breakfast here today (Feb 14th 2024) and it's a very chilled vibe with a great atmosphere and food, staff are very friendly and welcoming, it's not often my boy eats everything but he cleared the plate ! Will definitely come back again

We were a group of eight. The full English was filling and great value £ 9.50. Other members of our party had omelette with cheese ,halloumi and Turkish sausage which also was excellent and great value. Very welcoming staff. Definitely coming back

Called in here Saturday morning before the football.Had a full English breakfast and a coffee.My friends and I were well impressed and will 100% will be returning.Lovely food,good size portions,friendly service,very nice clean relaxing enviroment 10/10.

Have not consummed anything here but did look through the window when passing, was very impressed by how beautifully laid out it was inside. Clean and tidy as well as welcoming too. I will certainly be going in when passing and have more time. I think a daily new business for the area. Keep up the lovely ambiance that glows from inside!

One of the best cafes ive visited and im not even exaggerating. Great atmosphere and style. The staff were so very polite and accommodating. Truly the best one in Mansfield. Price was great abd the portion sizes for the food was spot on.

Called in for a late breakfast, a hidden treasure with lovely people. It was cash only, but luckily there is a cash point two doors down.

Can't recommend this place enough. Usually visit for Breakfast and occasionally Lunch but always a lovely atmosphere with good serve, good value for money and very tasty food. Surprised us today with some Baclava which was delicious and now has us wanting more. Well done Sevjan & Silvi .

One of the best cafés in Mansfield town centre, great tasting food, great coffee and brilliant service. No idea why people visit miserable overpriced Costa when they have a fantastic independent café like this.

Excellent experience at this gem in Mansfield. The staff are so well mannerd and the food is superb, there's a lot of choice and you're left fit to burst. Turkish people are very friendly in general and this place puts you at ease. The decor is really fancy aswell. I highly recommend this as a go to place in Mansfield

Best place to have breakfast and lunch in Mansfield Town. Lovely home cooked food! Great breakfast and specials. Also licensed. Clean and welcoming, with a relaxing atmosphere, have returned a few times and now it's becoming my regular.

Used this restaurant for the first time. Food is excellent. Would definitely use again. Took my grandaughter for a treat she lived it.

Why they say “Cash only on Sunday”? Is annoying. The card machine worked perfectly.

Perfect spot for a good coffee, meeting, wifi and a late breakfast. I had a large creamy cappuccino which I enjoyed and a fabulous cheese and bacon omelet, cooked just as I like it and not oily. My first visit but I look forward to returning as it's a good space to work in.

We're regular visitors here for breakfast but decided today to try lunch for a change. Gave the beef burgers a try and they were excellent. The seasoned fries were great too. Always good service good value for money.

The services is excellent, the food was absolutely delicious, I had hummus with olives and bread,!my husband had beef meatballs that came with fries, salad and bread, the portions are quite big so you won’t be leaving hungry. The price was very reasonable. Over all this place is very good and I will Be visiting again.

Visited the Horizon with work colleagues on the 16th March 2023 The premises were very nice and the staff friendly and attentive. The food ordered was delivered very quickly and was excellent (would highly recommend the English breakfast) The price was also excellent and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a quick no fuss meal
