The best restaurants in Maun Valley Mansfield East Midlands

My wife arranged for Thomas to cook for six of us to celebrate my birthday and retirement. This unique experience was enjoyed by all; Thomas introduced each course with a full explanation. We had the vegetarian option. The varied and tasty menu provided a memorable meal. As a final bonus there was no washing-up as Thomas provided all crockery, cutlery and equipment. We're happy to recommend his service and when he opens a restaurant look forward to visiting.

Lovely friendly staff. Drink prices are good, there is a pool table and a jukebox and always a warm welcome. Look forward to returning soon. 😀

10/10. Always perfect; never any mistakes with my regular orders even with some modifications, no matter the day of the week. Always top quality, tastes great & piping hot (especially on collection) - most of the time you can see them tubbing it up straight from the pans. Great team.

Driver arrive passed me my food while having a cigarette in his hand. When taking it inside it was cold

I can see beyond the enormous parking notice as you walk through the door and the frankly huge iPad next to the till telling you to input your car reg if you’re staying longer than one hour…. It’s basic stuff. What I can’t overlook is the general level of cleanliness demonstrated here. The place is filthy. The windows look like they’ve never been cleaned, the floor needs a bloody good hoover, crumbs and food debris all over the bench seating and the food cabinets were covered in dust and finger prints. This is not difficult or expensive to do, the team here are very friendly and welcoming but this establishment is let down by its cleanliness, or lack of it. We visited first thing in the morning and there was clear evidence that it had not been cleaned the night before. Stop standing behind the counter on your phones and clean the place. Yes, a refurb is probably due but until then I would put on some Marigolds, roll up your sleeves and get scrubbing!

Ordered food at half 4 to be here latest by 5:50. It’s not 7pm and it’s still NOT here! Can’t ring they won’t answer phone!!!!!
