Costa Coffee in Mansfield

Really busy, good atmosphere, great service, enjoyed it. Would be 5 stars but it's too expensive for that...haha

Coffee was great but , despite it not being very busy, they forgot to give us it warm the croissants we had paid for. Not the first time we have had shoddy service here either.

Lack of atmosphere at this Costa. Always requires areas cleaning where you sit. You have to make sure they top the teapots with water fully up or you get short changed. Bad idea with the parking charges. Would rather go to Rainworth branch. They have lost many customers with this.

Went to Costa Forest Town to meet a friend for coffee and cake. Which by the way is something we do quiet often here. We never saw any notices about penalty charges for staying more than 60 mins and that you had to register your registration number. I have just received a £100 fine. The staff at Costa was obviously quick enough to take our money & tip but did not even make us aware of their parking policy. Disgusting, never will I go to a Costa again!!

Great spot for coffee with great light coming in from large windows. Friendly staff and great coffee.

I went here with my sister to meet a old school friend for coffee and cake. Obviously we were going to be more than a hour, yesterday I got a fine through for 100 pound 60 pound if you pay it within two weeks. At no point did I see any signage or anything at the till, Costa is disgraceful there staff never said anything which you would think they would if they wanted to keep there customers, obviously they don't care, dirty place too. I will not ever step foot in a Costa again, shame on you Costa hopefully everyone will boycott it too.

Like so many more people on here I have also been hit with a stealth parking fine. There is no clear sign either in the car park or inside the Costa. The staff won't tell you about the parking time limit either. At the time of writing I am waiting for the outcome of my appeal but I'm not holding my breath it will be successful. Until then, I will not be using this Costa again.

Got a parking fine like everyone else! No one tells you about this at the till is disgusting when no one hardly inthe car park anyway. Just a cheap scam for unscrupulous parking fines to make money. Had a £3 drink then expect you to pay £60 for it when people hardly have any money nowadays. If my appeal is refused I will never go here again!

I met with a friend for a coffee which was as usual very good but a week or 2 later received a parking notice with a fine of 60pounds !!!! There was no notice visible at the shop as seen on pictures . Very disappointed and will never go back there again!!!

Don't be a customer for more than 60 minutes or the friendly parking cameras will send you a parking fine. Clearly the Costa staff could do more to notify customers of this considering the amount of reviewers that have been caught out. Just put proper signs up!

Had couple drinks bit of food with friends .all got parking ticket.staff say not there carpark.its a joke .never use one ever again.rip of.

Summer was delicious other one tasted weird

The latte was lovely. However the bubble tea wasnt nice at all. Tea not brewed enough, barely any (if any) syrup. So it was just really tasteless.

Met my daughter in there for a coffee and a snack then a week later get a parking fine for £100 for over stopping an hour well I didn’t know this was enforced i did go back yes there is signs up which I did not see staff never said anything total joke not be bullied into paying it and not be using Costa again

Looks like I’m not the only one that’s been spanked with a parking fine. I was there early doors to catch up with some old work pals. Like everyone else I didn’t see a sign and why don’t the staff tell you when you order that there has been a change to the free parking time. I must admit I was suprised how quiet it was but now I know why. Can’t see this place staying open much longer. I certainly won’t be returning and will advise everyone I know to boycott this store too.

Not local to me, didn't pay attention to the car park signs as it was heavy rain.. stayed longer than 60 mins & received a fine.. not best pleased so went back tonight and they NOW have a MASSIVE sign up as you walk in! This was not there a few weeks ago. Staff claim its been up since June 2023!! Tablet at the till with just a P on it - no signage what it's for. Staff not interested in telling customers about it either. KFC - same car park - but they have NO signs about extending your time in the venue. However spoke to a manager who said they don't have a tablet to enter car registration into, but Staff will do it. I pointed out but how would customers know as no Info on outside signs 🤔... she then said she can cancel the PCN on the spot! So I would urge you to dispute your penalty!

Ive had the same issue. £60 parking fine. Emailed costa direct to be told that the new parking restrictions are nothing to do with them. Which I dont believe, as many costas i hear are now doing this. When people have visited these places many times before, they are not expecting this. I never saw signs, but then it was so busy in there, people stood about waiting for drinks etc, you wouldn't notice. Staff should be protecting their customers and reminding them at the till. Or put laminated signs on the actual tables where people will read them. It almost feels as though they are hoping to catch people out! But of course Costa dont gain anything from the parking charges… righto! I have appealed it with proof i was in costa, which is essentially all you are doing by entering reg details into the screen, but doubt they will lift the fine. Im not sure why they have parking restrictions in a place where there is tonnes of parking for all of the businesses. If i have to pay it, they will loose me as a customer out of principle. As if the drinks dont cost enough already!

Received a £60 fine for taking my toddler to this branch for brunch and exceeding the 1hr parking limit!! Absolutely disgraceful!! Staff are rude, cafe was dirty and untidy. Will never be returning.

I had the pleasure of visiting Costa Coffee today, and I must say, the service surpassed my already high expectations. The team working tonight was not only delightful and friendly but also made me feel incredibly welcomed, despite my unawareness of their imminent closing time. What started as a quick stop for a hot chocolate before heading to the supermarket turned into a heartwarming experience. Their warmth and kindness truly brightened my day. I wholeheartedly recommend Costa Cafe to anyone seeking not just great coffee but also an incredibly welcoming atmosphere

Absolute joke. Dont stay over 60 minutes otherwise you will get a £100 parking fine. Why have food business’s with a time limit on it, ive never seen anything like this in my life. Its a cash cow scam and no wonder nothing can be done about it because Civil enforcement are milking money from thin air over it. Other people saying the signs are obvious… they are not because frankly most people dont expect to be time limited when visiting a restaurant or a coffee shop that the car park is purpose built for.

Avoid, went to discuss funeral plans of my mother who had passed away with my sister and was find £60 - £100 for being in Costa car park longer than hour, I didn't even know about time limit, I think it's disgusting and will never go to Costa again 😤

Met a former workmate both veterans sat catching up after 34 years. In there 1hr 45mins received a parking ticket appealed might as well wrote it in Chinese first and last time ever in a Costa zero rating from me.

Came for a coffee and a catch up with a friend on 15/11/2023 as we have previously done for many years and could park for 2 hours . Today 13/12/2023 a fine (that had gone to my husbands work ,as we have a company car )was given to my husband.£100 fine or £60 if paid within 14 days .Well that has passed so looks like a £100 fine then . I was so upset, that I actually went into the Fulmar Close Costa ,Forest Town and asked to speak to the manager.The manager was inconsiderate ,uninterested and said that the reduced parking limit had changed in June and the 8ft sign saying it was 60 mins parking had been in the front of the store since June .Well I said to her that the sign was not there.My friend who also had a £100 fine (because she missed the 14 day deadline as the email she received from the car lease company was sent to the Junk )also said it wasn’t there when we entered the Costa.The manager just said it’s nothing to do with them but surely when you are being served, the staff could just mention this MASSIVE change to the parking limit. Are their regular ,loyal customers ,who meet up with their friends in Costa unimportant? I was made to feel like I was thick,stupid and blind.We are keeping Costa in business but I know one thing ,myself and my friends will NOT enter that Costa again. One thing the owner of the carpark will be rubbing their hands together with all the money they are making from us all .SCANDALOUS !!!!

I don't get how some reviews are negative mostly on the parking I mean how can you say you don't see signs there's a sign sign posted on the car park and a massive board telling you as you walk in the door slap.bang in front of you like I think some should get an eye test if they can't see these signs , moved up this way from Wolverhampton around 6 months ago all the staff are friendly, talkative and go out of their way to know your order good atmosphere as well thumbs up from me me and my girlfriend always go here

Never going back there again. Having taken my sister for a coffee on Armistice day morning managed to get a £100 parking fine. That's a expensive hour! Costa not interested and I'm not interested in returning either. Try and find the parking sign, just don't take longer than 60 minutes to do it!

Avoid !!!!!!! Unless you like to rush your stay Met with a friend for a drink and chat 2 weeks later a letter in the post with a parking fine for over stay of 60 minutes. How can this be in this climate where a trip to your shop is a treat for most people. To be given a £100 fine is awful.

Standard coffee. Stale food. Then slapped with a parking fine. This is new and they choose not to inform their customers. Horrible chain, will not return.

The toastie and other items were fine but the shortbread was out in the same bag as the hot toastie and so it’s a melted mess with all topping stuck to bag. I wouldn’t mind but they are so expensive so you would think there might be a bit more care taken with them. 😢

I’d urge everyone to avoid this branch.. as a disabled customer I went to meet a friend for a catch up, we met in the car park and chatted as we walked in, ordered and sat down. Days later I get a parking ticket because we had the audacity to spend more than 60 minutes in there having a couple of drinks and talking. When asking the branch for help, the very smug and rude staff member just pointed out the recently installed signage. Which we missed through just being happy to see each other.. no mention of restrictions at the counter, a 3 second comment added to their existing script wouldn’t hurt. You can input details into a tablet for longer stay, but again, this wasn’t mentioned at check out. Not all customers are able bodied, and not all are literate. The least they could do is inform customers of recently implemented restrictions. I’ll never step foot in there again.

Cakes were in with hot drink so all melted. Wrong order, a cheese and tomato toastie was ordered and chicken and ham delivered so went straight in the bin as was for a vegetarian.

The drinks etc were up to the standard I've come to expect from Costa, but the staff weren't very chatty, more stern and all about getting your drink ready so they could be rid of you. There wasn't a pleasant chatty atmosphere either. The tables weren't clean, and those that had been weren't as clean as they should've been. A shame. This particular branch used to be lovely

Absolutely disgusted and fuming!! None of my order arrived. Had to stop working to drive to costa to ask why as no phone was accepting calls. Costa were no help at all!! I’m just short of £20 down now! Customer service was zero!!! I will not be ordering again!!!

I was disappointed on this visit. It was a very warm day but the staff had wedged the door open which made the temperature inside quite uncomfortable. Clearly, they do not understand that air conditioning on with a door wedged open is a waste of energy (and money). Table clearing was slow. It wasn't busy, so there were plenty of tables available, but it does not look welcoming to see dirty tables. One staff member even had their lunch at one of the tables, which I don't see as a problem, but the fact that the lunch was clearly from Greggs was "surprising" to see. I look forward to updating my review (hopefully better) when I next visit.

Tuna panini fell out of package and melted all over the vegan rocky road, which shouldn’t be packaged with it , none of the toasties were cut and wrong straw was given for drink , so had to eat it like a bowl of soup

Love Costa, probably because I'm a coffee ☕️ kinda guy. Always love the seasonal range of food and drinks always on offer. I prefer Costa over all other coffee shops and love the smell and atmosphere in the Costa shops. Decor is lovely and the seating is soo comfy. Live a nice cup of coffee and Costa provides this every single time. Food is pretty tasty too with sweet and savoury food that is definitely worth coming back for.

Amazing food, nice and warm when it arrived. It came really quick and the delivery driver was really polite. I would highly recommend.

I've been here a fair few times, to sit in and to take away. The staff are always lovely. Sometimes when it's busy and the queue is to the door, it does take a while for drinks, but once they're on it, they're on it. I've never had a reason to say don't go there. The atmosphere is always nice too which helps

Ordered a reindeer muffin Costa changed to a lemon one (which I won’t eat) due to running out of the one I bought so a waste of money Would have been good for costa to ring to say they have ran out of stock what would you like instead or to offer a refund for the item bought that they haven’t got

Delivery guy was lovely. And gave me my order. The numbers on the bags all matched up. Yet I opened them up to eat my food and they had packed the wrong thing. I ordered a rap and ended up with a bacon sandwich thing. Very disappointed.

Very ordinary Costa with the usual array of food and coffees. Bit untidy on this visit but usually OK. Best feature is the adjacent car park but no drive through. Convenient for the huge Asda across the road. Usual disabled facilities but a bit of a walk across the car park. Couple of tables outside, should that be your thing. Can get very busy. Still have the covid screens up which make it a little claustrophobic and difficult to communicate, some may prefer this. The screens look a bit worse for wear now. Nothing too bad, just average. I am missing two fresh lemonade’s that as cost me £7.60!!! I don’t know if it’s the restaurants fault or the deliveries fault!! But as the restaurant is doing orders they should make sure they are correct before they leave shop!!! and now I will get offered a refund!! Instead of being offered somebody to bring me the rest of my order!! Thank you Costa!!

Every time I go I am always amazed by how busy it is. It can take a while to get your drink but I think that is true of every Costa. They were busy but tables were cleared of used cups etc which is sometimes where Costa fails.

Absolutely disgraceful! What food did arrive was squished into small packaging after pulling each ingredient out separately and having to build the sandwich again ourselves! Only one piece of ham in half of one of the toasties! Missing half the order! Wrong milk on one of our coffees. Will not be ordering again! Ridiculous! 3 toasties and 3 coffees seems simple enough, clearly not!

Wow wow wow … absolutely amazing .my first time ordering aswel , I’ve tried many different desert shop’s but they don’t even come close to this one , milkshake , deserts . Sweet’s all exceptional. Keep up the great work guy’s . Will definitely be back .

What can I say except what great service. The two young ladies behind the counter were ran off their feet. Having to deal with the heat and some rude customers I was so impressed with them. My drink was perfect as was my brother's. Emma made them beautifully and even checked after if everything was okay. Couldn't have asked for better service in such difficult circumstances. Sophie was polite and helped me with the Costa app during my order. A serious compliment to both of them.

Missed 3 items. Phoned you and clearly wasn’t bothered. Received no refund from just eat. Clearly someone who doesn’t care.

Again paid £4.30 for a large Carmel ENERGISER vitamin B12 and got a large cup with half the coffee in it!! Again!!

Wrong drink sent from Costa paid £4.30 for an large energiser caramel Vitamin B12 got sent what I would say is a small possibly a medium in a large Cup and it’s just a cappuccino!

Staff very good the place itself is scruffy and needs an upgrade but the owner wont spend the money thats why we only visit occasionally

Received wrong cake, ordered Bakewell tart got millionaire short bread. Did enjoy cake but just not what I wanted.

Ordered 2 large hot chocolates with cream, marshmallows and flake but there was no cream, also my “large” mocha cup was only half full, have photos as evidenced absolutely disgusted!

Busy, but we were served, managed to get a table, disappointed to be informed that they had no tea cakes. We were cycling and wanted a coffee and a light snack.!!

I've visited this coffee shop twice on both occasions its either been dirty tables or dirty cups and spoons. Costa seems to have this problem in other outlets too. What is going wrong .

When you order and pay for two slices of carrot cake and only get one at £3.50 a slice!! It’s not fair when the place of food or drink is not sending in the correct order!!! So I’m £3.50 down!! And a slice of carrot cake!! Not good Costa!!!
