Been fairly regular for the past 7 months, and never had an experience like today. My friend and I went in today around 4 o’clock, she ordered a salted caramel frappe no cream with coffee, the staff member « Amy » promptly forgot these requests, and had to be reminded as she was putting cream on (not sure if she did actually put coffee in), we both wrote it off until I was served, I am lactose intolerant, and asked for an oat latte with vanilla, at first she had the regular milk jug for steaming and I had to interject and then when pouring my coffee shot, she attempted to use a takeaway cup that had been face down in the water/coffee/milk mixture in the tray of the machine (as it had been taken apart for I assume cleaning 3 hours before closing), I then asked her not to use that cup as not only do I have allergy to milk it’s also really gross, the whole time they were being standoffish, and then when I got my drink there was no vanilla as she had forgot that too, although she apologized and corrected the error, it just felt really uncomfortable to ask for what I paid for to be made safely and properly, the rude demeanor took us both off guard, I have never had anything happen like this before but it’s just disappointing and below standards.

Went there to collect TooGoodToGo order and came across very impolite blonde girl with bun and glasses at the till, she ignored me till the end while calmly making the coffee and wiping surfaces, although she saw me standing next in the queue. So cutting stars for the service and atmosphere. On a daily basis like that place for a visit, but this left me speechless… bad customer service…

They don't even know how to make espresso imagine the rest !!!

To be honest, the seats are actually very dirty, the seats are dirty, the pickles are dirty, the place inside is very dirty and the person is squeamish like me. It's just natural that such an establishment bypasses 10 expensive ones.

Have visited for years but think I’ll be going elsewhere possibly new Starbucks. Always prefer Costa coffee but the cafe is feeling very grubby. Toilets are disgusting. Seating in poor state. The staff are always very friendly. Drinks always good. Cakes overpriced. Shame but it needs refurbishing asap.

Shocker. Place was a state. Pots everywhere, tables filthy, toilets disgusting. If you want a coffee, go to the other Costa on the retail park

I visited west gate costa on 22nd march 2024 , Im an regular customer and Ive never had any issues using the store before. I brought an drink before using the bathroom.I have an hidden disability and went to the bathroom because It were urgent , I got into an problem and I had to sort it out. I didnt want anyone to have to clean up my mess. I were 5 minuets then I started getting harrassed then that made me more stressed which resulted in more medical issues. I got were threatend by around 5 men , threatening to kick the door in and shouting stuff like I bet shes on her phone and I bet shes dead in there from being on her phone too long despite me keep shouting I have an medical issue , it takes me longer than most. And they also kept shouting that I were beyond the joke , that I have no respect and that I act like I own the bathroom. And started swearing at me through the door. Then they complained that much to the staff , the staff came and I had to open the door whilst the bathroom were in an state and I were in an state. They kept threatening to open the door whilst I had my underwear down. I told them my underwear were down and I told them I were trying to clean up. And threatened to call the police. The staff were an young man who appared to be in hus 20s , he were an new member of staff and the other were an woman who were an lot older , light coloured hair and plus sized. , I just need more time because of my disability. I kept constantly trying to explain this but nobody listened When I had came out crying everyone stared at me and wouldnt stop and nobody appolgised for how They treated me.

Where do I begin. The girl on the counter was very surley and looked at me as though I was an alien, looked even more puzzled when I ordered two hot salted caramel milkshakes she took my money and walked away leaving a young man in her place. He was very polite, made and served said drink and off I went to sit with my partner to enjoy!!....NOT. It was awful just warm liquid with not a trace of what it was supposed to be. I left mine but out of curtesy, my partner drank his with an unpleasant grimace on his face. He then proceeded to use the facilities and came back post haste looking sick indeed. The toilets were filthy there was toilet paper all over the floor most of the floor was covered with suspicious looking fluid and the smell was horrendous. Had he been a factory inspector he would have closed the place down imediately. Not good enough Costa I wish we had gone to Starbucks across the road. I paid almost £9.00 for nothing better than that which is discarded as slops. Shame on you !!!!!

Stop off here for a latte on the way to work. Friendly staff and a nice in store seating area.

Terribly smelly on entry but passed it off as being and outdoor environmental issue. The toilets are disgusting and that is where the smell was coming from. The toilets were dirty and smelly. The floor was soaked with urine.... Sorry Costa, this is THE single worst Costa Coffee shop I have ever been into.

I feel really bad for the staff working in the conditions they are in. Place was swarming with flies. A staff member picked up a cup from the top of the shelf and flies just flew everywhere. The male staff who served me today was really friendly, but unfortunately my drink didn't taste like my regular order. For a latte it tasted more like a glass of warm water with sweet syrup. Before I left I went to the toilet. I kid you not- there was a poo right on the floor. I don’t think I’ll be back again. 😬

dirty place, only 2 staff on, femae staff with long dark hair floating around touched my cake several times. too busy for them face like thunder serving people on boxing day.

Called here Saturday morning 26th November 2022 for coffees. We use to come here about every 2 weeks but not been for about 3 years. There was a very long queue to the door, service was slow, 4 staff behind the counter, have 2 runs of the equipment to make coffee but only using one, WHY. The staff were not very customer friendly; the coffees were very weak and horrible. Shall not go again

Visited this morning for a couple of coffees and left shortly after purchase. The customer service is non existent! To serve a customer a not say 1 actual word I find ridiculous! If you don't want to be in a customer related job then leave. The latte was horrible more like warm milk. We left in disgust!!

Always get a good Soya Latte at Costa the Vegan Bacon Cob was good as well

This Costa was clean. Staff were friendly. I ordered porridge. I was never asked if I wanted honey, marmalade, jam with the porridge

Shop was a little untidy but mostly OK. Some litter on the floor near the entrance and the counter screens a little battered. Slightly worse than average. Visited mid week am and the shop was relatively quiet. Only 2 in the queue. Had the usual latte. Have to walk to this store as it's in the pedestrian area. Varied seating and all well spaced out. Shop is long with a small frontage so the rear seating is cosy and warm but very little natural lighting.

The service here is atrocious. We visited today as we had 30 minutes to spare so we thought we would go for a coffee. There were about 6-8 people in front of us and we stood in the queue for 30 minutes while there were 4 people behind the counter. The person making the coffee was so slow she spent most of the time studying the orders and looking around her. It was like she wasn’t interested in how long people were waiting or how the other poor girl was running around trying to quicken things up. I strongly advise you not to go unless you have lots of time to waste. They ruined our 30 minutes time out!

I called into Costa Mansfield today & ordered a gingerbread latte & a chocolate tiffin. The latte was not hot enough & I didnt want to re queue as the queue was massive & no-one seems to be adhering to social distances. After I has finished I went to the ladies, it was disgusting & I was appalled. Costa is a big organisation & not cheap. Surely there is a system in place for them to be checked on a regular basis. The floor skirting boards sink ect looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks

Disgustingly overpriced (as are all Costa coffees!!!) Far to expensive. Get cheaper priced food and much cheaper priced better coffee at my local McDonald's than this place!!! Why are sandwiches so overpriced for a piece of ham, cheese & bread. RIP OFF & Shameful! It costa too much goodbye, never again!!

Love going for a quiet drink of coffee here in Mansfield Town Centre whilst waiting for the wife doing her clothes shopping. Costa staff are really welcoming and friendly and they always carry my drink to my table as Im on crutches when I go in. Always time for a quick smile and chat, Costa is only 1 of 2 places in the town centre that I go in to for a decent cuppa

Expensive and arrogant service. Toilets closed rather than cleaned on a regular basis. Poor.

Although in the midst of lockdown, the coffee here is a good thing made better. Well prepared, and exceptional taste. Great staff too. A real treat on the go.

Always good coffee, but the premises has seen better days. Stacks of pots left on tables, often ignored by the staff, the walls and soft furnishings need replacing or at least a good clean. Its been take away only during lock down - so surely theres been some re-investment and cleaning done during that time ...... we shall see when it properly re-opens.

They mixed up orders, happened twice now. Ordered regular cappuccino and large cappuccino triple shot. They did it other way round. There was no one in the shop waiting, so it's not because they were in a rush or anything. Just wanted a nice coffee for me and my colleague at our break. We definitely were both disappointed.

Long wait but acceptable under conditions, but 3 behind the counter and only 1 lady doing all the work. 2 guys just stood there and 1 took drinks and stuff off her and placed on counter. I am sure they could have been more helpful to her . She was very happy to finish her shift at 2 pm ..

Very disappointed with our visit this Sunday morning. 10 am and the toilets were filthy and over 10 tables waiting to be cleared and cleaned. Coffee was ok though

This is the go to place for mid shopping coffee and snack break. I always make time for a visit any time I’m in town. There’s sometimes a bit of a queue but it’s well worth it all the same. The staff in this particular Costa are amazing and nothing seems too much trouble. The coffee’s pretty damned good too.

This is in the centre of town. Although the queuing is always a pain at any Costa, the seating itself usually provides space and it's comfortable. We had an excellent cup of Coffee Americano and a delicious warm mince pie. We also spent some time reading the paper so a very relaxing stop before continuing our shopping

Café was busy and had to sit near toilet entrance. Many people came past off the streets just to use the loos. Taps not working in loos. My wife and I had a teacake each which arrived most anaemic looking. All in all not a pleasant experience today.

Well I have never been to a Costa like this one! Significantly more tables had dirty cups etc than were clean and clear. The staff seemed nice enough but there’s obviously no emphasis on keeping this branch clean and therefore welcoming. In fact I’d go as far as to say that there appeared to be a lethargic approach to work. I won’t be back in a hurry.

Delicious coffee in a filthy place. Barristers in Costa know how to prepare excellent coffee. It is a shame dirty dishes stay on the tables for hours. Nobody bothers to clean up even if it is not a busy time for the staff.

Called here today for coffee and cakes..Queued over 10 minutes to get served...Every table spare had pots on them and tables were all dirty...After finally have our cakes and drinks went to the loos...They were disgusting...there was mess in the pans and pee everywhere including the floor..under the sink was covered in mould..they obviously hadnt been cleaned for sometime...bearing in mind this was also a baby changing facility i wouldnt change my baby there...judging by the state of the place i just hope that the staff facility's are cleaner.....shocking

It is always fantastic quality and friendly staff, I especially love the black forest hot chocolate they have around Christmas, wish it was available all year round.
