The best restaurants in Glen Harborough East Midlands

Wonderful selection of cakes + great coffee. Stopped here to grab lunch and enjoyed a really nice takeaway quiche, some very tasty tiffin and a great cup of coffee. Prices reasonable and the service could not be more friendly

A great find, Splendid food with generous portions. Extensive menu with tempting specials. Will be back. Unfortunately did go back with family a few months later on a Saturday night. couldn't have been a more different experience. Waiting time for food was outrageous. Food was a shocking standard for the price, at no time were we asked how our food was by serving staff. make no mistake this establishment was not full and more than enough staff were working. I have no clue how a place can be so different on a second visit. worse of all was the fact we had family members from out of town with us, it was embarrassing. Great selection of fresh food, always lovely staff and a great warm greeting. The food is fresh cooked to order, except the amazing cakes and scones.

No bathtub. Toddlers cannot stand below a large shower. They are frightened.

We absolutely loved our breakfast. It was that good that I've told everyone I know. Well done Pennbury Farm

After hundreds of reviews and over 300,000 views on them this is the first time I have be called overbearing, had a bad tone or manner (and which one of the 4 of us are you referring too). This is just to save face and be personal! Our table was polite in the way we raised the numerous issues and I feel that if you can not take honest feedback then this is a shame and it show that you are unwilling to learn from your customers bad experiences! I do however concede that Kilworth house has increased their prices since we last went but it was still a much more pleasant experience regardless of the amount you pay! As for posting on this platform, that is what is here for. Thank you ================================ So 4 of use went for afternoon tea today and was treated by a lovely lady who explained the cakes and what's included. First of all would you pay £36 for this tier of food, 4 triangles of sandwiches, 2 scones, cream, Jam and a choice of cake. Some crisps and a few strawberries and blackberries? This is £18 a head .... hmm The crisps were soft and clearly been opened and stored in the fridge. The filling on and sandwiches was minimal, apart for the tuna. The scone was OK and the Rocky road had a hint of chocolate but not very tasteful. The first server went home sick and we had no check back or water we asked for until the manager came over and offered us £10 off the bill. Which was nice. However when we came to pay we got charged for 5 afternoon teas at £80!!! Ouch We did raise this and was refunded. It was all just a bit hard work. Asking for things several times, soft food! Billed incorrectly! All just very unorganised. I have had much better from Kilworth House ..... sorry!

Our visit to Fox Pond Oadby this evening was lovely. Holly our waitress really looked after us. From the start to finish. She even did a solo Happy Birthday when she brought out the cake for my Sisters birthday 🎂 😊Thanks Holly ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fabulous food too.

Disgraceful! Stayed at Premier inn which was excellent but went for meal last night at fox pond which is owned by green king only find doors locked. No notification, No food and no alternative offered. Went for breakfast in morning to find chef not turned up when he did staff decided to cut service and no meals available until lunchtime. Not acceptable. The 1 member of staff there had no interest or care

Cannot fault this restaurant, Absolutely wonderful food , even though they were busy service was extremely good and polite staff looking forward to visiting again.

Unfortunately, I cannot review the food, as after waiting over 30 minutes for someone to come and serve me, I decided to give up and go elsewhere. The restaurant was not busy at all being a Wednesday night (at most 10 tables, with most having one person dining from individuals staying at the hotel). However, I was obviously not a priority and it was more important for the staff to stand behind the bar laughing and joking with the locals, rather than serve customers!! Its fair to say I will not coming back!!
