Wonderful selection of cakes + great coffee. Stopped here to grab lunch and enjoyed a really nice takeaway quiche, some very tasty tiffin and a great cup of coffee. Prices reasonable and the service could not be more friendly

Ignore the negative reviews! Honestly some people just enjoy to moan. This is THE MOST AMAZING local pub you will find. Ran by an incredible family who put their heart and soul into their business. Food is incredible, amazing presentation, full of flavour... the chef is so talented! The food is freshly cooked so some menu choices can take longer but are so worth the wait! So proud to have this in the village. Hands down the best pub you will find!

Great selection of fresh food, always lovely staff and a great warm greeting. The food is fresh cooked to order, except the amazing cakes and scones.

No bathtub. Toddlers cannot stand below a large shower. They are frightened.

Came here for birthday lunch with my sister, having visited previously a few years ago, both are meals was literally 10/10 I struggled to find something wrong 🤣literally finished my food and asked where I can leave a review . The price is definitely more than justified by the quality

Hemos estado visitando Wistow Café durante años cuando visitamos a familiares en Wistow. Ayer dimos un paseo desde Newton Harcourt a Wistow para traer a nuestras chicas un pequeño bocadillo. Llegamos a las 3. A las 05 pm para que nos dijeran que el café estaba cerrado, todavía había gente sentada afuera en el área secreta. Luego nos fuimos y fuimos a la tienda de delicatessen a comprar una galleta a nuestras chicas. Entonces necesitaba el baño así que fui a usar los principales por el centro de jardinería, ya que hacía frío y humedad mi esposo llevó a nuestras 2 niñas dentro de la zona cubierta a esperarme cuando una niña se acercó a mi esposo y 2 niños pequeños, ella fue muy grosera y extremadamente ruidosa para que todos lo escucharan! Ella se acercó a mi marido y dijo que no se puede comer cosas aquí dentro de la tienda, él explicó que su esposa (yo mismo) había ido a usar el inodoro y él simplemente estaba esperando para calentar a nuestras 2 niñas, de nuevo ella precedió en voz alta para decirle que no podía esperar allí! Estábamos muy molestos y avergonzados, ya que inicialmente habíamos intentado entrar en el café, pero nos dijeron que estaba cerrado y que solo estaba esperando durante 2 minutos para calentar a nuestros dos más jóvenes! Nunca volveremos aquí a pesar de varias visitas al año para visitar a nuestra familia en Wistow! ¡También les pasaremos esta información sobre lo grosero que es su personal! ¡La Navidad es el momento de la buena voluntad! ¡Obviamente no en su caso!

Our visit to Fox Pond Oadby this evening was lovely. Holly our waitress really looked after us. From the start to finish. She even did a solo Happy Birthday when she brought out the cake for my Sisters birthday 🎂 😊Thanks Holly ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fabulous food too.

Two visits on a Sunday evening at 7.30pm, one tonight the other a fortnight ago. One chef and very few staff so unable to accommodate one person. Not the staff member's fault who I dealt with. Yes there was a group in but the place wasn't packed. Will not be visiting again.

We had a fantastic night out catching up with friends here. The food was excellent and the service was attentive without being intrusive in any way. This is a difficult skill to master. I have already recommended it to some of my foodie friends to visit.

Unfortunately, I cannot review the food, as after waiting over 30 minutes for someone to come and serve me, I decided to give up and go elsewhere. The restaurant was not busy at all being a Wednesday night (at most 10 tables, with most having one person dining from individuals staying at the hotel). However, I was obviously not a priority and it was more important for the staff to stand behind the bar laughing and joking with the locals, rather than serve customers!! Its fair to say I will not coming back!!
