Fox Pond - Pub & Grill in Harborough

Two visits on a Sunday evening at 7.30pm, one tonight the other a fortnight ago. One chef and very few staff so unable to accommodate one person. Not the staff member's fault who I dealt with. Yes there was a group in but the place wasn't packed. Will not be visiting again.

Food is excellent. Service is perfect. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Huge thankyou to Grace, Chloe & Josh! Really went above and beyond to make sure we had a lovely meal for my dad’s birthday. Service was fantastic!

Would just like to say what a great job the staff on shift this morning did for our visit for breakfast with Santa! With servers down, only able to accept cash and a full restaurant of excited children and parents. Carla, Frankie, Josh and Nicole front of house and all the kitchen staff kept a positive attitude throughout and delivered an appointment enjoyable experience for all :) bits a special thank you from Liam, Gemma, Oliver and Quinn xxx

Always a pleasure to visit this pub even tho we are not from Oadby the staff are great very friendly and polite makes a visit a pleasure

Nill , Full , not a third full , 4.45 pm , useless no idea , i would have sacked her , & down a Chef to 1 , none to fill in , help !!!!!! We are regulars, we were !!!! Offered to leave with our Grandchildren within the hour , to no avail.

We were seated in a function room but we were forgotten and had to keep walking into the main area to request service.

Food was great and staff was good

We've come here for years and it gets better, the service is actually brilliant, they're very attentive and offer refill as you actually need them. The kids icecream was a real winner! Thank you!

Disgraceful! Stayed at Premier inn which was excellent but went for meal last night at fox pond which is owned by green king only find doors locked. No notification, No food and no alternative offered. Went for breakfast in morning to find chef not turned up when he did staff decided to cut service and no meals available until lunchtime. Not acceptable. The 1 member of staff there had no interest or care

Had a root vegetable pie I like to know what root veg was in it it was red the pastry was that hard we were offered a steak knife to cut it was disgusting 🤢 wasn't worth the money. Would never go back again.

It was midweek, so not overly busy. The food was great (mixed grill) and the staff were nice and friendly. Child friendly as well, and we were given the TV remote to put on some kids TV to keep the son entertained 🙂 Will be back again soon.

We went for the first time for a family lunch and it was absolutely brilliant. Lovely food, great service and a nice atmosphere.

Popped in a for a drink tonight. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Staff were polite. Enjoyed a delicious vegetarian wellington and noticed a good choice for vegetarians. Nothing to dislike. Very happy. Thank you!!

I can honestly say the Foxpond is the nicest, most friendly and accommodating pub/restaurant I have been too. I have visited many times for family birthdays, work christmas do's and ladies nights out and I have never had a bad experience. Tonight I visited with a large booking for my daughters birthday and all the food was perfect, the staff were friendly and helpful and the whole evening was an amazing night. I'd like to give a big shoutout to Lewis, Josh, Mica & Maia for always making myself and my family so welcome at the Foxpond. Such a great team!

We met there as a coffee group for the first time. We were made very welcome. The coffee was excellent and served in proper crockery. The very small biscuit was appreciated but a proper sized biscuit would be great. We will definitely meet there again. The member of staff was very helpful and good.

Good service but portions very small and pricey, £9 for brownie share plate, ….and you get 6 little pieces of brownie

Decent food, relaxed atmosphere. Best parts? Allow dogs in the garden/inside and have small play area for kids.

Most Amazing food and service. Beautifully set up. Now a regular customer. Food is high quality. Beautiful Fry up. Full English.

Food is reasonably priced and delicious. Kids love the little play area outside. Also had a very enjoyable Father's Day meal the other week.

Me and my family come here quite a few times and we absolutely love it! The food is amazing, you may sometimes have to wait a little bit for it but it's definitely worth it! The staff are so lovely. Highly recommend!!

Great place for Sunday lunch but great anytime. Friendly staff too, always feel comfortable here. Would recommend no problem.

For a pub next to a premier inn, actually the food was really quite decent. It was nice and quiet and the staff were all friendly with us and the kids.

Hot pie meal very disappointing, though the pie was the only thing that was hot. Pastry very hard, meat very poor quality, gravy OK. Chips not hot. Why can't kitchen staff learn to cook frozen peas? Happens elsewhere so frequently. Mine were like bullets, tasteless and nearly cold. Meal served on cold plate. Why? I don't subscribe to the H&S explanation. Use a tray. Staff said pies had been commented on previously. Someone at HQ isn't listening. All in all, an experience not to be repeated.

Stayed at the Premiere Inn and had drinks, Evening meal and Breakfast at the Fox Pond Pub. The food was excellent. We had the garlic mushrooms for starters which were lovely. I had the mixed grill for main which was perfectly cooked (the steaks were perfect too with no grissle!). The peas could of been boiled a bit longer as i'm fussy about my peas but they were still nice and edible 😊. Everything else was cooked to perfection so thank you chef! We also had the Full English breakfast the following day which was reasonably priced and all you can eat. Once again all very tasty products and the poached eggs were perfect too 👌. Staff were all friendly and even the other customers in the pub too. Great job - keep up the great service and Thank you for the lovely meals. Please pass our compliments onto the chef.

Stopped here in passing and wouldnt hesitate to visit again. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. Food came out well presented and hot.

Went to this place on a whim. We were greeted by friendly staff who were pretty quick and were busy too. Couple of drinks and we ordered a chicken sharer as a main and a hunters chicken. It arrived quite quickly it was all good value for money (money off with AA membership too) there was nothing wrong with any of it and would go again if in the area.

Went for Christmas day dinner, great friendly staff as usual . Amazing food can't fault this place one bit.

Three of us had lunch here today, ordered drinks first which took a few minutes to arrive, food took a little longer, but was worth the wait. Delicious fajitas, and my companions enjoyed their meals too. We'll be back!

We ve just had a fab family ,3 course Boxing Day meal, Great value, and good food, really enjoyable lunch!

Visited today (Christmas day) and every thing was perfect. I’m vegan and a couple of the options weren’t fully vegan (my own error) and they swiftly adapted everything to make it vegan friendly. The food was beautiful and the staff were amazing. Worth the money and added to our Christmas Day

Roast Turkey, very nice and not too much

We had a lovely Christmas meal - we were a group of 7 - and were very happy with the food and with the friendly and helpful service. Would definitely recommend.

We would like to send our thanks too all the staff at the Fox Pond. The front of house service given by Holly, Geordan, Josh and Lewis was excellent. We would also like too thank the the kitchen staff for good quality food.

This pub is like most, It has a reasonable menu, and a choice of food for everyone. The food was cooked well and the staff were very obliging . Surprised not many people in for the time of the year, Thursday night beginning of December but over all it was an enjoyable evening! It was clean and well presented! I would recommend a visit.

Ideal location for a quick evening meal while staying at the Premier Inn next door. Welcoming atmosphere, pleasant and friendly staff. Food arrived quickly (chicken skewers with some salad and a side of chips with a takeaway portion of cheesecake for desert) - all enjoyable & nicely presented. Reasonable price. Three of us used the Fox Pond for breakfast after an overnight stay at the Premier Inn next door. The food was very good, topped off with fresh ‘drip’ coffee provided, we’ll use the Fox Pond for breakfast on future stays at the Premier Inn for the coffee alone!! The breakfast staff were very pleasant, especially Josh.

was staring hungry went for meal; [ais around £14 and got child's size meal was more staff than customer but staff was great shame about the food defiantly would not recomend

We visit the fox and pond regularly, ok at least once a week :) they know our drink orders ;). we love the team and the food is always well presented and delicious. We have also used the venue room and had a buffet for my partners 40th again the food was amazing and the service from the staff was fantastic as usual. You are amazing team and we always love coming

Stopped @ the Fox & Pond Oadby, on the way back from Leicester. From the outside, a sense of forbidding seemed to pervade, the car park empty & overgrown with weeds. However, inside, any worries we’re quickly dispelled. The staff were welcoming & there was a nice family atmosphere. The service was a tad on the slow side, and it wasn’t too busy. The meals we had, along with various starters, were very good though a little on the ‘small portion’ side. I’d stop here again.

We visited this pub for lunch yesterday and I have to say it was amazing, such a nice big pub we went with a number of dogs and had a lovely table in the corner with plenty of room for the dogs to stretch out. the staff were very welcoming and attentive, the menu was extensive and was spoilt for choice the food was amazing, some of the nicest food I have in a pub for years, highly recommend it.

Visited as group of 4 for latish lunch. Food was great, service and attentiveness was faultless from Carla, helpful throughout. Great all round, we all enjoyed our meals. The sharing skewer chicken platters were tasty, varied and plentiful, as was the chicken and pitta bread skewer meal.

Our lunchtime visits have become a regular monthly feature. The location is easy to reach, parking is free and plentiful. The menu has something for everyone and is reasonably priced. Quality of food is good as are portion sizes. Service is excellent- special thanks to Joshua and Toni.

Very impressed with my recent meal here. The katsu curry was one of the best that I've had in a long time.

We have eaten a lot at the fox pond this week whilst visiting family. First time we arrived they weren’t taking walk ins just bookings so I looked on line and made a booking we were told there was a problem in the kitchen and food was going to be a wait. However once we were sat down they said problem had been solved. Me and my husband started with the nachos and wow they were lovely!! My dad & step mum had the cambert sharer, this was lovely aswell. Then I had a burger and again it was lovely plenty on the plate and great value for money. My husband had chicken fajitas and it was a construct your own thing which was a bit ugh but he said they were lovely as well, step mum had Mac & cheese which I also had the second night and it was beautiful. We tried the desserts with my dad & I going for apple crumble and this was delicious. Second night I had the triple chocolate brownie sundae and it was ALOT! Staff were friendly and lovely. We had breakfast as we were staying at the premier inn and the breakfast was a standard premier inn breakfast.

Many thanks for your hospitality and kind attention afforded to my wife over her gluten intolerance dietary requirements during our weekend break on the 24Mar23. Also we liked having our breakfasts cooked to order rather than the self service buffet style as they tasted much better, thanks.
