The best restaurants in Abbey South Daventry East Midlands

I visited Culaccino on Saturday the same day as Daventry xmas market and was extremely disappointed with the service. We were greeted by 2 young girls,neither of which said hello or anything. We sat down and weren't sure if anyone would bring a menu over to us or not. I tried to get the attention of the girls but they blatantly ignored us. After finding our own menu and ordering we waited 35 mins for 2 waffles only to get them chucked on the table and when I asked for cutlery one of the young girls gave the biggest sigh as If I had just massively inconvenienced her. Would also like to point out there were only 3 other tables at the time. There was another table but they were so fed up with waiting they left. Most of the tables had dirty plates or cups on and out of the 3 girls not one of them decided to clear them. We waited about 20 mins for someone to clear out table of dirty cups. In fact a gentleman on the table next to us went up to order (his table had leftover plates on not yet cleared) He asked at the till how big a large latte was to which the girl responded with 'if you look at the dirty cup on your table its the same size as that'. There was also a lack of hygiene. I was watching the girls make toasties and after touching the Ham and meat to go into the toasties they both then proceeded to touch and make the waffles which were then served to us... without washing their hands after handling meat! As someone who works in hospitality this was by far the most shocking thing I saw. It was evident the manager wasn't there, but I suggest that you make sure your staff are fully trained in customer service and especially food hygiene before leaving them to run the shop.One of the girls had long blonde hair which was tied up but most of it was dangling down the front. As we were finishing up another girl arrived to work and tied her hair up being the counter right over the food that another girl was preparing. One table complained that a small side plate was dirty, the girl with blonde hair took it into the pot wash area... I could see form where I was sat that she didn't put it in the dishwasher but instead wiped it with blue roll and gave it back to the man! I am sure when the manager/owner Is here things are different but I certainly will not be returning and have told others to avoid unless they want unhygienic and rude service. I never even write trip advisor reviews but in this case I felt it was essential.

arrived stone cold and covered in grease. chips where rock solid and taped up in a southern fried chicken box. Naan was burned (literally black and rock solid) all was totally inedable and went in the bin

Delivery is always punctual, food is always great quality, ordering online is easy, no issues arisen yet! Recommend to everyone.

Same as usual. Quick and efficient.

Waiting 90 minutes and still no food. No answer to the phone, goes straight to voicemail. Unacceptable. If you can’t keep up with the demand, which I highly doubt, then don’t give an unrealistic time. I’d cancel and get a refund if I could get through on the phone.

Great Food, Great Service, Great Atmosphere

Picked up a takeaway while visiting for the 2024 F1 British Grand Prix. Best Sweet & Sour Chicken Cantonese Style I’ve had - highly recommend!

Horrible...just went with kids for a treat and spent 8£ for shocking ice creams from people who do not care...they more bothered to chat to each other that provide good customer service...just so poor quality for double ice creams and shocking look of them...just better go to Waitrose and buy ice creams🍦 there or even better of to go to McDonald's...that to this place...They do not use gloves when prepare food or even tissues just with bare hands and when they pass you they give it a tissue...they need a lot of training or they should change job as you can see they do not care ...

Handy location, great food and service. Good value and piping hot food presented timely. Clean. The place for breakfast :)

Went here for the bottomless brunch for our future son in-laws birthday. We were a little worried at first as it was busy and only seemed like one person was serving, it can often not be worth the money. However thankfully I was wrong. the young lady who served us was very timely and attentive. We have plenty to drink and the food was lovely. Lovely little place and service is outstanding 100% recommend it to anyone visiting Daventry. We will be back .

The food itself was good, they got my order a tiny bit wrong (i ordered a hamburger with just tomato sauce and they put cheese on it) and their delivery person didn't follow delivery instructions (i asked them to use the back door). Still though their burger was much better then what i've eaten from millennium and was much cheaper as well.

Great pub .. people are friendly staff are awesome .. definitely recommend
