Very good pub if you fancy watching sports or play darts or snooker. Beers are reasonably priced. Located at High Street that is why when coming by car you need to park it in the nearby parking lot behind the pub.

Tuesday is truth night, Weekends always something on...

Quirky but had a nice visit for a couple of pints

Music playing and a band was due on later in the evening. Child and dog friendly. Lots of different sections plus garden. Pool and darts.

Not a lot has changed from years ago. It's ok, nice to have somewhere in town that has music/bands other than chasers.

Well......I don't go in often to be honest and I won't ever return after last night. We went in as a group of 4, took a very long time to get a drink (yes it was busy but it was painfully slow) not the fault of the ladies behind the bar but perhaps instead of the person who 'runs' the place standing outside smoking half the night he could help his staff get things moving a Little!!! One of our group had a friend who came to sit with us who as disabilities so tends to move slow, stammers when he talks. After about 2 hours of being there he returned from the toilet to have one of the security tell him to leave.... when we asked why he said 'he is very drunk and can not stay anymore' 3 of us explained he has a disability so may appear to be drunk but is not. Yes he had been there a while before us but he had caused any bother at all!! The security guy had absolutely none of it so we decided to end our night at they moment which was a shame! Prior to this happening, there was a few groups of young lads who had dropped atleast 4 or 5 drinks between them, their jaws swinging and walking into people yet they were allowed to continue their evening stumbling around the place. Perhaps you should hire security guards who actually listen to sober human beings and are able to judge PROPERLY who they are about yo throw out!!! Disability discrimination is what occurred last night, you should be ashamed of yourselves!!

Excellent food and service by friendly servers. Also a nice place just for a drink. I will be leaving this area soon but if passing through will definitely call in to eat or drink.

Awful customer service, the man owner was so rude. Me and my partner were made to feel stupid when we couldn't work something out on the app to order our drinks. Tried asking for a straw and the man again made us feel dumb for not knowing you aren't allowed straws due to covid although other customers had straws... Won't be coming back again!!!

Ok pub. Dogs welcome. Local crowd. Cheap drinks. Clean. Sports on tv.

Lokal dla młodzieży dużo chamstwa wrogości... Ja byłem wyprowadzony z lokalu z powodu uniknięcia bójki... Ochrona na poziomie poniżej 0 nie można porozmawiać tylko od razu wyrzucać za tylko to że się pije spokojnie piwo i zwróciło uwagę chłopakowi żeby się zachowywał... Niestety za lekką uwagę zostałem wyproszony bo młody mężczyzna skakał do bitki... Wybaczcie ale dla mnie lokal nie jest nic wart.

Looks cool. Like the vibe. Do not like staff that ignore you while you're waiting at the bar, serve the two already there before you then proceeds to serve the new person who comes along. No smile, no greeting, no acknowledgement what so ever. Rude! Took my cash and spent it elsewhere.

The Lion 🦁 Pub in Daventry is clean and tidy, nice furniture and lighting, nice garden to sit out in, if the weather is nice outside, fosters, strongbow and John smiths is only £2,30p good price for a glass of beer.

They were open but had no food or even a packet of crisps, we went in looking for something to eat, why open if you are only serving drinks??

2 bar staff on Saturday night. Left bar for ten mins half way through serving customers.but the worst of it. The toilets can't cope with the basins. 2inches of water to paddle through everytime you needed to use them. Health and safety nightmare

Recently refurbished and renamed. I was with a group of colleagues and we had lunchtime toasties with chunky chips and washed down with soft drinks. Not your typical pub review therefore. Food was good and well priced. I will return during an evening for a real meal.

This does not let a score of no star. So just to let everyone know I would like to retract it. I ordered a double whiskey and got it in a plastic disposable pint tumbler. That was my last visit. Its a pub I'll walk past in future

Underage drinkers as young as 15 years old ....my daughter was allowed in no id given.....disgraceful

When I went with a couple of friends (17/11) one of the bouncer (the one wearing the black hat) asked me for ID whilst I was in the middle of ordering. Now I'm still young enough to constantly be asked for my ID, so I quickly grabbed my passport, flicked to the correct page, and handed it to him over my shoulder whilst continuing to order our drinks. He then told my friend I had an 'attitude' that he didn't like, because of how I handed him my passport. I held my tongue at the time, not wanting to spoil my friends evening, but now I am at liberty to say that if my efficiency offended you I don't care. You may think you can be a jerk toward a young drunk girl, and normally I'm sure you would get away with it. Sadly for you I have a great memory and access to the internet, so I can let the people you work for know that I find the way you chose to behave disrespectful and I disliked your attitude.

My first visit to Friday's ..... what a great place! Spoke to Adam the manager and he made us feel welcomed and at home. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Davantry. 🖒
