Culaccino in Daventry

I visited Culaccino on Saturday the same day as Daventry xmas market and was extremely disappointed with the service. We were greeted by 2 young girls,neither of which said hello or anything. We sat down and weren't sure if anyone would bring a menu over to us or not. I tried to get the attention of the girls but they blatantly ignored us. After finding our own menu and ordering we waited 35 mins for 2 waffles only to get them chucked on the table and when I asked for cutlery one of the young girls gave the biggest sigh as If I had just massively inconvenienced her. Would also like to point out there were only 3 other tables at the time. There was another table but they were so fed up with waiting they left. Most of the tables had dirty plates or cups on and out of the 3 girls not one of them decided to clear them. We waited about 20 mins for someone to clear out table of dirty cups. In fact a gentleman on the table next to us went up to order (his table had leftover plates on not yet cleared) He asked at the till how big a large latte was to which the girl responded with 'if you look at the dirty cup on your table its the same size as that'. There was also a lack of hygiene. I was watching the girls make toasties and after touching the Ham and meat to go into the toasties they both then proceeded to touch and make the waffles which were then served to us... without washing their hands after handling meat! As someone who works in hospitality this was by far the most shocking thing I saw. It was evident the manager wasn't there, but I suggest that you make sure your staff are fully trained in customer service and especially food hygiene before leaving them to run the shop.One of the girls had long blonde hair which was tied up but most of it was dangling down the front. As we were finishing up another girl arrived to work and tied her hair up being the counter right over the food that another girl was preparing. One table complained that a small side plate was dirty, the girl with blonde hair took it into the pot wash area... I could see form where I was sat that she didn't put it in the dishwasher but instead wiped it with blue roll and gave it back to the man! I am sure when the manager/owner Is here things are different but I certainly will not be returning and have told others to avoid unless they want unhygienic and rude service. I never even write trip advisor reviews but in this case I felt it was essential.

Disappointing jacket potato for £7 Very small. Microwaved. No side salad. Toilets not very clean at all ☹️ Son enjoyed his ice cream Sunday.

Had a great night at their dessert tapas with friends. Service was friendly & prompt. Food was fresh and very yummy, didn’t take many photos as was too busy eating! The place is modern, clean and most of all warm (as we went on a cold, wet and windy evening)! Will definitely be back with the kids!

Eaten her a few times, good food and friendly staff with great service. Iz always greats us with a smile chatty and bubbly. Great choice in ice creams too.

Pancakes were absolutely amazing, with plenty of toppings. You can tell they’re homemade and made fresh to order. Izobel and Sophie were really welcoming and polite. Can’t wait to come back!

I have never been to this place and never will. My daughter at 17 did a trial shift, all she got was an unwanted groping against the dishwasher

Two young girls served us and one of them was extremely unfriendly. She didnt greet us when we walked in but instead, ignored us initially and then told us we had to leave even though we only came in to get a menu AND we had messaged ahead to ask if dogs were allowed inside (they said yes) so whoever messaged us on Facebook gave us the wrong info. The paninis nice and arrived promptly. Milkshakes were a bit bland but the desserts were the best bit. We felt sick afterwards but it was totally worth it.

I popped for a cup of coffee as I havent been for a while. Very warm welcome and friendly. Lovely ice creams on display and will have one when the weather improves

It was a lovely day and so popped in for a lovely mint choc chip ice cream. Quite busy but very friendly staff and its a coffee shop too. extensive ice cream selection

It was lovely weather and so I popped back for a lovely ice cream and sat outside and soaked up the sun while eating a lovely ice cream. Well worth a visit t sample a coffee or the like.

Great service. Big range of ice cream. Lovely coffee. Great place to take the kids for a treat. Nice to be able to sit outside on a summers day on one of their picnic blankets.

Great coffee, great ice cream and great service. The prices were reasonable but the quality was excellent. We will be back

Not only a great ice cream parlour but excellent food which won’t dent your wallet too badly. Delicious! Best coffee in Daventry.

It was a warm day and I felt it would be nice to have an ice cream. I spotted Cuaccino and went to have a delicious ice cream. The establishment was clean and airy and I was made welcome. The ice creams on offer are varied and numerous to mention. I spoke with Martin who was very friendly. They sell coffee and panini as well. I shall come back for a drink and something to eat at a later date. Well done to all.

This place is awesome! The staff are great- very friendly and helpful. They have a large ice cream and sorbet selection. I particularly love the Chocolate Orange, coconut, coffee and orange sorbet. Not together- obviously! They even have Rum and Raisin!

(Excellent) My son treated me to lunch the waitress was very friendly I had cheese on toast which tasted perfect, I can not remember what my son had but he did say it was very nice.I will be going again as the food and drink is very good value for money plus tastes very nice. The staff are very good they make you feel very welcome.

Amazing place, great variety of flavoured ice creams and crepes combination. Definately the eye deal place if you have a sweet tooth. would recommend to anyone

We have been a few times since the place opened and never disapppointed.

I visited the ice cream parlour in the summer holidays with young children . Very friendly staff and great prices . Kids loved it . Also they have lovely picnic blankets for you to use in the summer to sit out on the grass . It's defiantly a great place to visit .

Visited this wonderful little cafe/ice cream parlour with my wife on a Sunday afternoon. Friendly welcome from the management team and staff. Fabulous selection of ice creams and other desserts. Excellent coffee selection available too. Didn't have the hot food on the menu but it looked and smelled great. Will definitely try a few other things on my next visit

3 visits here now since it opened. This literally is the most spotlessly clean cafe I have visited. Prices are really reasonable, staff are friendly, the 50's diner vibe is pretty cool but the coffee is very very good as are the waffles and ice cream. My son loves it.

Really spacious parlour with comfortable chairs. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and they had a huge range of yummy ice creams.

Saw new ice cream parlour opened in Daventry had to take a look and wasn't disappointed! Served a wide range of coffees, my cappuccino was amazing then had a waffle with ice cream and toppings that definitely hit the spot! So much better than Gallones with an excellent choice of ice creams and an extensive menu of sundaes and much more. A friendly family run business that will become a regular haunt for myself friends and family

Visited today with my daughter and husband. The choice of icecream was fantastic and the service was excellent! Good feel to the place. Will definitely be back very soon!
