Done a search on Google maps for a good takeaway. i was in the area as I'm a long distance truck driver and fancied a indian takeaway. I can honestly say Abduls was a great choice, very friendly service and the restaurant looked nice and clean to have a sit down in. The food was absolutely beautiful, look and taste was also fantastic. I eat indian food all over the country and this experience as to be in my top 5 without fail i will be back hopefully soon . Thank you to the young man that served me great job. Please give this place a try you won't be disappointed. 👍

Ordered a coconut prawn dish. Received a chicken tomato one. Unfortunately the problem with Abel’s all their sauces are the same. Very disappointed. No offer to come and change the dish. Not the first time. ‘Chicken Ceylon’ tastes like dishwater no coconut taste but advertised as coconut dish. Told there is a ‘hint’ of coconut - Have eaten in a lot of Indian restaurants here in uk and overseas. They like to argue you down and make out its customers fault. Definitely not ordering from them again.

Best Indian in dav hands down, been finding mine had been quite watery from other places lately but this one was absolutely spot on, even managed to deliver in under an hour on Valentines night which I have to imagine was busy

Was visiting Daventry last week and felt like eating authentic Indian food. I've heard about this place previously from friends local to the area and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The food was amazing to say the least, after describing which dish I felt like eating, I was recommended a Bengal Keema Jalfrezi by Umar and it went down a treat, the staff here have a very good understanding of the menu! The service was exceptional and I will definitely be visiting again soon.

We have enjoyed take aways from Abduls for a while but tonight was the first night we ate in the restaurant. The booths feel very private and there was plenty of space for a family of 4, we had young children with us (6 and 8) and the staff were really very good with them. We had plenty of food, the Prawn Balti was absolutely delicious and the portions are generous. I also had a paneer dish that was creamy and full of paneer. Waiters were attentive and they are all very smartly dressed. We were advised that the portions were plenty for the children to share one dish and we were asked if we wanted to take home what they couldn't manage. The bill came to £104 but we had poppadoms to start and side dishes and we all had dessert so for the amount we ordered and the quality of the dishes i think this is a very fair price. Overall i had a lovely time and would definitely like to eat there again.

I ordered the two most basic dishes possible, butter chicken and matar paneer. I don't understand how they could turn out so utterly disgusting. They were the weirdest yellow colour as if no masalas were added whatsoever, and tasted like it was just made out of milk and sugar. Super super disappointed.

Abdul's Indian is by far the best Indian restaurant in Daventry. There's a wide variety of items on the menu however the Bengal Keema Jalfrezi and Shushmi Naan is my personal favourite. I am a regular here and the staff are always very friendly and the food never disappoints! Overall the restaurant has a very comforting atmosphere and it is well maintained including the clean toilets. Thank you and I look forward my next visit.

I never had a chicken tikka sweet, (it doesn't even taste like chicken tikka masala) plus check this colour on picture DISGUSTING! Waste of time and money.

I have been a loyal customer to this place for over 17 years, it's always been my favourite and I have been countless times to dine in with my family and takeaways over the years whilst recommending it to everyone. The last 2 takeaways have been awful. The first one being the curry was like someone had dropped the salt pot in whilst cooking it, I thought this was just a one off so didn't complain and decided to order again tonight. I ordered the same dish again. (Lamb rezala) The lamb is incredibly chewy and tough to the point I have had to eat my curry with a knife and fork to be able to get through it. Not enjoyable whatsoever! I rang the restaurant to let the know the meat is not nice at all. (First time I have ever called to complain in all those years, to be told that next time I order I need to specify that I want the other lamb in it and not the tikka lamb that it came with 🥴 I'm sorry but who on earth wants to enjoy a curry with chewy lamb in it?!! I order the same dish occasionally from the other place called Asia and the lamb is tender and devine. I will never use Abduls again for takeaway or dine in experience. Asia wil get my custom aswel as all my family going forwards. So disappointed 😞

This place had my pants down last night with a chicken biryani for 11.95 with NO chicken. The chicken tikka masala was radioactive in colour. Food was cold and tasteless. A pretty dire and expensive nightmare. One that I shan’t be repeating.

Absolutely outstanding meal, superb service - highly recommended. Can’t fault any part of my dining experience. I ordered a chicken balti and swapped the naan bread for an amazing parata - I also ordered tarka daal - best I’ve had for ages - flavours were amazing!

I visited with a family of 4 and I must say I was amazed by the level of service I received. Umar was the waiter who served us, we were given complimentary papadoms and chutneys which was a great touch! Order was taken promptly and food arrived piping hot. I tried the Chicken Tikka Massala which was full of flavour. Definitely recommend!!

Previously had takeaway from Abdul's and, on collection, was impressed by the cozy dining area that looks like it has been recently refurbished. On that basis, we booked a table for 4 for dinner with friends. The whole experience was really good... friendly and attentive service, tasty food and very generous portion sizes. Would definitely recommend Abdul's and we'll be coming back!

What a shame. Have ordered from here on more than a few occasions was always really satisfied. But they last few times have been dreadful. Thought we would give it one more go tonight and what a disaster that was. It was the worst one ever. Will not be ordering again complete and utter waste of money. We always order from Abduls, it's our go to Indian! All of the food is delicious, fresh and always piping hot.

Service was lovely.unfortunately the birthday girl got the wrong curry prawn instead of chicken luckily she is not allergic to shellfish but it put her off her meal .we didn't pay for here meal and they were very apologetic about the mistake .the establishment is very clean x

PLEASE DON'T ORDER FROM ABDULS. We've waited over 3 hours for food. I can honestly say it is single handedly the worst takeaway experience I've had and the service provided is genuinely comedic. There are many better Indian restaurants in Daventry and I wish we had made a better choice.

Ordered a delivery on Friday night was told an hours wait, wasn't a problem. But we waited almost 2 hours and the food was cold and we didn't even get our full order, I live a 2 minutes walk from the restaurant I can see it from my window. Me and my partner had not long finished work feeling tired so we just wanted a delivery, I phoned up they said they were waiting for delivery driver be another 5 minutes, thought OK but still ended up waiting another 30 minutes iwould of walked up and collected if I knew it was going to be so long. I wouldn't of given it 1 star to be honest poor customer service to be honest absolutely disgraceful I won't be ordering from here again

I have ordered from Abdul's Indian Restaurant on a Saturday night... with all the quarantine social distancing regulations, I was expecting it to be a busy delivery night and was not expecting the order to arrive in record time; I have placed the order at 19:16 and the automated email came shortly, informing me that the order has been processed and it should arrive in aprox. 90min. I called the delivery number after 90min. and was informed that the driver has not picked up the order yet, but it should be with me in max 15 min. (the staff was very polite and apologetic throughout our whole conversation) After 135min. I have called again the delivery number and was informed that my order should be arriving in max 5 min; the order did arrive indeed as advised and the driver again was very apologetic and polite; After almost two hours and a half of wait, our order arrived (almost cold, but I did not expect a hot plate after that wait anyway ) Unfortunately, the taste did not compensate for the wait (maybe a hot plate would have left a different experience?). The food was ok... not excellent-not bad, but ok... This was my first time ordering a delivery from Abdul's Indian Restaurant, however I will also give the venue a shot once the restrictions will lift;

I would not recommend this indian at all, the chicken we had eaten was cold & undercooked in placed and had veins running throughout! The naan breads turned up after we had finished our mains and received the bill. When I asked to speak to management I was shoved of with " he's to busy to speak to anyone and cooking in the kitchen! This was the second time I had visited and was disappointed both times! When I refused to pay untill I had spoken to management I was then spoken to rudely by staff. Terrible service by all.

The place has recently been done up and its very cozy and nice. The food is very tasty in comparison to other restaurants around. Best in Daventry in my opinion, and the people are very polite and helpful. The price for Indian food is great as well.

Having been eating at / from Abdul's for 9 years I was really disappointed with last night's delivery. Ordered 19:10, finally arrived 21:40 having missed the original and the revised delivery time. Food was ok, but saag paneer was heavy on the saag and only 4 pieces of cheese.

Food is ok..good in comparison to the areas low standards. But lets be honest....that meal isn't worth £15. Indian 'restaurants' are extremely overpriced. So 4 stars as a comparison to others in the area but realistically an 8 quid meal sold at twice the price.

Absolutely superb. Massive fan of Indian food, but never thought about trying this, even though it's so close to home. What a mistake. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was lovely and the staff very, very good. Will certainly be returning. Should be proud.

Absolutely diabolical, half the meal arrived and then had to wait on hold while phone was engaged, then they said they would deliver remainder of food, 15 minutes time. By then food cold. I will not be using again!! Why not do a quality check before delivery morons!

Go inside and straight upstairs to be warmly greeted by friendly staff. All the waiters are friendly and efficient. The food was very good and the portions were quite generous. We will go there again.

Been there many times been OK till last nite started giving main dishes in the small rice containers and charging the same price manager said tell who I like he doesn't care so I have won't be using again.

Food is amazing! Went all the way from Luton to have a real curry and pint of cobra beer.

Been using this restaurant for a while now and never had a bad meal. The management and staff really friendly and know what we like. The food portions are great also value unquestionable.
