arrived stone cold and covered in grease. chips where rock solid and taped up in a southern fried chicken box. Naan was burned (literally black and rock solid) all was totally inedable and went in the bin

I had a great experience at the restaurant. The food was amazing, and they maintained excellent hygiene. Omar and the rest of the staff had outstanding behavior—very friendly and always smiling. Overall, it was a wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely visit again!

Just a lamb dansak, 1 poppadom, rice.. Lovely meal, they added extra poppadom and mango chutney etc, and small portion of salad/onion.. It was "great"

Although we don't eat out much these days, Abduls remains our go to Indian restaurant. Nice food and pleasant staff. It was just over 2 months ago since we last popped in (after taking in a film at the Arc Cinema in Daventry). Umar (sorry if I've spelt it wrong), not only recognise us but even remembered the film we saw back in May. Such attention to detail is amazing. Abduls also does takeaway food but we like the personal touch of being in the restaurant. Until the next film!

Don't go anywhere else. Best Indian in any of the shires. Fish curry is amazing and the Asian rice is excellent.

We’ve been using this Indian restaurant for years. The owner remembers us from when we first got together, while I was pregnant and now always greets our little (8 yo) girl and often gives her a treat to take home with her. The food is delicious and the service is really personal. When we don’t eat in the restaurant and have a delivery, the delivery time is quick and the food is as good as if we were eating in the restaurant. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I’ve been recommended to come here by many people, and I’m glad I did, it was worth the drive up from London. Service and ambience was excellent and it’s very suitable and accommodating for group outings and family friendly. The Food was spot on, I had the lamb biryani and I’m having it again one day from them, I was served by brother Umar, very friendly, polite and made us feel welcome here. I definitely will go again in future and recommend them to whoever reads this, and wish Umar and the team all the best and success.

Went here today with 5 other friends and it was fantastic, even caters for birthdays and the food and service was very good, took us about 25 minutes to get both our starters and main course. Highly recommended.

Food was lovely as always but over 2 hours to deliver and having to chase by phone is completely unacceptable. If you can’t deliver within an hour, you should stop further orders until you’re all caught up!

Chicken tikka hot is not really hot ( in spice), Bearley any meat

Management and the in-house staff are always very hospitable. Always hits the spot with my Sunday cravings.

It is one of the places I love to visit when I want to dine out with my partner. The meals are always wonderful, use of really good and fresh ingredients also there is a wide ranging menu. The atmosphere is comfortable and its not a loud environment either. The staff are great, always willing to give you their best efforts.

Best Indian I've had in a while. Took almost an hour to arrive but was piping hot and clearly freshly made. 10 out of 10

amazing quality food every time we order

Done a search on Google maps for a good takeaway. i was in the area as I'm a long distance truck driver and fancied a indian takeaway. I can honestly say Abduls was a great choice, very friendly service and the restaurant looked nice and clean to have a sit down in. The food was absolutely beautiful, look and taste was also fantastic. I eat indian food all over the country and this experience as to be in my top 5 without fail i will be back hopefully soon . Thank you to the young man that served me great job. Please give this place a try you won't be disappointed. 👍

Ordered a coconut prawn dish. Received a chicken tomato one. Unfortunately the problem with Abel’s all their sauces are the same. Very disappointed. No offer to come and change the dish. Not the first time. ‘Chicken Ceylon’ tastes like dishwater no coconut taste but advertised as coconut dish. Told there is a ‘hint’ of coconut - Have eaten in a lot of Indian restaurants here in uk and overseas. They like to argue you down and make out its customers fault. Definitely not ordering from them again.

The starters were perfect. tThe Kurma was good but the prawn bhuna was too mild and watery.

Best Indian in dav hands down, been finding mine had been quite watery from other places lately but this one was absolutely spot on, even managed to deliver in under an hour on Valentines night which I have to imagine was busy

Was visiting Daventry last week and felt like eating authentic Indian food. I've heard about this place previously from friends local to the area and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The food was amazing to say the least, after describing which dish I felt like eating, I was recommended a Bengal Keema Jalfrezi by Umar and it went down a treat, the staff here have a very good understanding of the menu! The service was exceptional and I will definitely be visiting again soon.

We have enjoyed take aways from Abduls for a while but tonight was the first night we ate in the restaurant. The booths feel very private and there was plenty of space for a family of 4, we had young children with us (6 and 8) and the staff were really very good with them. We had plenty of food, the Prawn Balti was absolutely delicious and the portions are generous. I also had a paneer dish that was creamy and full of paneer. Waiters were attentive and they are all very smartly dressed. We were advised that the portions were plenty for the children to share one dish and we were asked if we wanted to take home what they couldn't manage. The bill came to £104 but we had poppadoms to start and side dishes and we all had dessert so for the amount we ordered and the quality of the dishes i think this is a very fair price. Overall i had a lovely time and would definitely like to eat there again.

I ordered the two most basic dishes possible, butter chicken and matar paneer. I don't understand how they could turn out so utterly disgusting. They were the weirdest yellow colour as if no masalas were added whatsoever, and tasted like it was just made out of milk and sugar. Super super disappointed.

Best Indian takeaway I've had in ages

Abdul's Indian is by far the best Indian restaurant in Daventry. There's a wide variety of items on the menu however the Bengal Keema Jalfrezi and Shushmi Naan is my personal favourite. I am a regular here and the staff are always very friendly and the food never disappoints! Overall the restaurant has a very comforting atmosphere and it is well maintained including the clean toilets. Thank you and I look forward my next visit.

Vegetable masala was only slightly thicker than water with just 6 pieces of broccoli and mushroom floating around in it. Saag paneer only had 4 small pieces of paneer and also very watery. Delivered was on time and the food was hot but it was over priced, bland and not that nice. We'll order from somewhere else next time.

I never had a chicken tikka sweet, (it doesn't even taste like chicken tikka masala) plus check this colour on picture DISGUSTING! Waste of time and money.

Unfortunately the food arrived 30 minutes early which was really inconvenient, if I’d wanted it for the time it came, then that’s what time I would have ordered it for! The food was merely warm and unappetising, had to search for the 4 pieces of chicken and the onion salad comprised of onion only, no sign of cucumber or tomato. All in all a disappointing expensive, unappetising meal and would NOT recommend

Fantastic restaurant! Whenever we're in Daventry for the 4ncl we always come here! Great service, great food and really like their fresh naans.

No happy at all, madras arrived with no spice, rang up thinking there would be no problem to send a new one to then be told someone will come and collect the food so the chef can taste it. The most unhygienic disgusting thing I have ever heard. I then proceeded to ask for a refund instead to then said they still need to collect the food. In absolutely no way would I let them come to my house and take food that I have touched and tried. This will be reported to food health inspectors. Absolutely outrageous!!! I will never order again

Everything ok apart from the Lamb Masala which was overcooked I've had the Lamb Korma at Abdul and it's normally melt in the mouth but this was like chewing gum. Sauce was tasty and Saag aloo amazing though.

Curry was incredibly watery, with little flavour. Chicken pakoras very over cooked too.
