The best restaurants in Barlborough Bolsover East Midlands

Had breakfast here today, 23.06.2021. Food was of a generous size and the quality was outstanding. If you ever passing the Apollo in Barlborough, give these guys a try. You won’t be disappointed

What a lovely pub…we are just stopping in Barlborough for one night on our way north so called in here for a couple of drinks. The two girls who were serving were really friendly and welcoming and the bar was bustling with what we assume are locals so it had a lovely atmosphere.

My husband and I had a meal on Saturday evening. I had the Turkey Roulade and my husband had steak. Both were delicious. Staff were friendly but not intrusive. No complaints, in fact we recommended it to friends not from Edwinstowe.

The rooms are really nice and large with a lovely bathroom and all clean. Heating was spot on. Amenities all good. Staff were really lovely and helpful. Lovely view.

Always a friendly welcome from everyone, the community spirit in Chesterfield really shines at these premises. Parking is a breeze and the cafe is excellent too.

I ordered 2 pizzas, one margarita and one doner special at 12:30, they then rang and said they had no donor meat so we asked for chicken tikka instead. The delivery arrived at 3am! 2 and a half hours after ringing the shop and getting no answer even though we was told it was in the hour. We received a pepperoni, margarita and a sloppy onion pizza, all 10” and cold! Not what we ordered at all. The driver then put us on the phone to the owner and I explained the situation and got told to “f off” and when we asked for a refund to “get fcked” Will not be returning here I do not recommend at all.

Big shout out to our server Abi. We were a group of about 20 and Abi calmly and professionally took our orders. She was able to recommend dishes off the menu. She restocked the salad bar when we pointed out that there were things empty. All our food was delivered quickly and at the same time by Abi and two other team members. My halloumi skewer was nice. My only gripe is: £4.65 for a bottle of Peroni ! That’s extortionate. Also the queue to get served at the bar was long and slow !

Read many reviews about this place and tbh I couldn’t fault my visit. Service was quick, food was hot and tasty, the place was clean and salad bar was fresh. Would recommend and will be returning.

We stayed next door at the Renishaw and came here a few times for breakfast. S21 Sandwich Bar is a British style cafe serving mainly cooked to order all food, including breakfast and made to order sandwiches. The breakfast plates come in different sizes, but even the smallest plate is filling enough for me. It’s an understatement to say the portions are generous. The place is spotless, the service is just lovely. It’s just a shame the cafe is far from places. They do seem to get a lot of passing traffic though and hopefully will continue to do so.

Quick and friendly service. Seating upstairs and down. Ample free parking with no restrictions.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. WE PLACED AN ORDER FOR DELIVERY WHICH DIDNT SHOW, NO ANSWER ON THE PHONE. WHEN I DROVE UP THERE, THE PLACE WAS IN TOTAL DARKNESS. THEY ACCEPTED OUR ORDER AND TOOK OUR MONEY, KNOWING THEY WERE CLOSED. SCAM, ORDER AT YOUR PERIL

Best Chinese food ever. You get loads also. Shame thy do not do a delivery service 😥

It's a McDonald's they pretty much all the same

We attended for a works party having the Christmas fair - amazing value for money, service was brilliant, all staff were efficient and friendly, the food was hot and fresh, the table was decorated for our festivities too! Fully recommend the party menus.
