Harvester in Bolsover

Didn't eat here, just met up with family for a drink before going home, nice big restaurant, plenty of comfy seats, friendly staff, cola's a bit pricey

Visited on a Saturday night at 8pm and was told they were closed when we walked through the door. What kind of pub closes at 8pm! We won't make the journey to visit again.

Ordered cheese and spinach pasta which was perfect, really enjoyed the waitress company from Derry too!

Brilliant food and our server Louisa was so helpful. Give her a raise!!!

Went for a meal last night. Food was great, staff were attentive and polite, service was quick. Will definitely be going back.

Sorry to say but this is the worst experience I have had at a restaurant. We called in as a party of 4. The waitress came for our order, I said we wanted to order as two separate couples, that appeared to ruffle her straight away and said we would have to split the order when we pay!! So we ordered one Ultimate mixed grill, one wing and wave, one regular mixed grill and a Ribeye steak. After waiting 58 minutes the meals arrived. All 4 meals were shockingly COLD, the peas had still got ice inside!!. We asked for the manager, no apologies from her just an abrupt no problem I'll get the re-cooked. All meals were re presented no more than 10 minutes after ( still only slightly warmer). All the meats were dried out and tough. My friend who ordered the ultimate mixed grill could not eat any of her meal and asked for the manager again, told her our problem and she snapped back that she personally stood over the chefs while they cooked everything again. What a load of rubbish. She didn't charge for her meal but didn't give anything off the other three meals. Also as we were leaving a member of staff went and told another party to move tables as she needed to shut that area down. Disgusting!.It only takes one bad visit to put me off revisitng and this was it. I'll take my money to the Derodes a half mile up the road.

We decided to eat at Harvester on the spur of the moment and are so grateful that we did. We were seated quickly and greeted by Grace who was serving our table. She was very polite, and helpful sorting us with our drinks and then ordering our food. This is always an issue for one of our party as she has severe food allergies. Grace listened carefully and noted all the ingredients which caused the allergic reactions, then helped this person order a meal which would be totally free of all the listed ingredients. Grace also suggested that rather than taking food from the salad bar, a written list be compiled of what our guest would like to eat and that it would be prepared specially in the kitchen. We were amazed and delighted when a huge fresh bowl of salad arrived additive free! We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and the very attentive service from Grace, who always had a smile on her face! Thank you Grace.

We always come here but we wont be returning food was cold chicken burger was like shoe leather had to ask for a number of things for the salad bar as it was empty.Had to ask for bread rolls and plates which i went to sit back down as the girl i asked went behind to bar to chat the only good experience we had was max who was serving who was chatty and friendly but we wont be returning

Lovely simplified menu. But for the kids I think there should be the meat free pasta and meatballs options but also a meat option and the meat free option are not great. Also I don't understand why the flatbreads are stopped served at 5pm......

Over half an hour for food delivery, not even a busy evening, had to follow up on our order and again for the bill?

Been today to celebrate a family birthday , what a marvellous server we had ( Imogen ) nothing was too much trouble , she spoke to everyone even the youngest member (2 year) with kindest smile .. made the visit perfect ..

Only good thing was the staff were friendly. Ordered the original combo and when it came the chicken was only warm as were the sage and onion fries which where also hard as if they had been left at a warm temperature for some time. However the half rack of ribs was cold. On raising this my plate was taken away and returned a few minutes later with the ribs remove. I was was told that the chicken was warm enough as were fries and they would bring me out a new half rib once cooked. I could not leave the food whilst I waited for the new ribs as it was barely hot enough to eat as it was. I had just about finished when what was on my plate when a new set of ribs where returned. which I had to eat with the few remaining hard chips I had left. This is just not acceptable. The meal should have been fully recooked and served together as I order. Also had no real apology of offer of any acknowledgement of the poor service received. The final insult was they had to add the cost of the further set of ribs and then take it off the bill as they had to account for this in the kitchen. The created the clear perception to me that the focus was not on providing me with a plate of hot food as order but just getting away with the minimum costs. The real shame is that I was looking forward to eating at the restaurant for a further 3 nights but decided I would not and actually had meal deals from Tesco

Imagine booking a table 2hrs before hand and then getting a phone call 6 mins before your your due to eat telling you the kitchen is closed. Why would the website/app let me book a table at that time. Discrace, hotel stop serving food at 9 so I am now sat without eating. Harvester was empty and blinds down at 8.58 pm. Just me guessing but staff wanted to be off early. I had spent all day looking for somewhere to eat at that time of night due to work hours and then this happens. My blue light card was obviously not good enough for them. Nice to see on the website that where here for you because your here for us. Last time I will go near a Harvester.

Really great service from Meghan, she was particularly helpful with allergy information. They were busy but we didn't wait long for food.

Would be nice if the host tells you you need to register your car, because if you haven’t been in a while and miss the sign you’ll get charged £100! I will never eat at a harvester again. Bunch of money grubbing douchebags.

We visit on speshal occasions and always enjoy it. Unfortunately this time it wasnt its best. The salad bar was pretty empty. Portion size small. My husband and step daughter had the loaded fries with their meal. Wasn't any more than a spoon of toppings. Staff very kindly offered and fetched plates for us to have cake on that we fetched. Most of the staff are really Friendly. Must have been an off day for the young girl with the red hair. She was very abrupt and had a can't be arsed attitude. Would visit again but wouldn't order the bird surf and turf or loaded fries. Not worth the price.

Food and service was ok, the temperature of the food was not that warm otherwise it would have been good. Also we ordered four sundaes, 3 were served in the actual glassware but without the cones and mine was served in a bowl and looked rubbished, it looked nothing like what it was supposed to be online. When we questioned it we were told that's how it's supposed to be, the menu must be wrong?

Louisa was great - very friendly and knowledgeable. Salad bar offered a lighter meal option for a mid-week stay for work, which was appreciated.

It's OK if you want a meal out with children, but that's all. It used to be very good before Harvester took over.

This place a good place to eat the food is good and always hot,we have done dine in and takeaway both equally as good,if I had any criticism it would be that there is no dine in if you have dogs and it's not the weather for sitting outside and after talking to other people with dogs they have said the same.

Great food and great choice for dietary needs

Don't normally go this way, but was taken for Sunday lunch, pleased I went the carvery was exceptional the meat was good the portions wasn't small like a lot of carvarys do, the vegetables was hot and nicely cooked, thoroughly enjoyed so your definitely on my list for another visit, well done to all the staff.

BE VERY VERY CAREFUL if you go to Treble bob Barlborough I parked up for breakfast stayed 35 mins and received a parking fine! (09/07/2024) The most expensive breakfast I've ever had. Unfortunately made even worse by the fact I was in a rental car and the rental company have also charged me a £35 admin charge on top of the parking fine to deal with the matter. I and my work colleagues have often used treble Bob in the morning for breakfast before work but we will all go elsewhere now. Never again!! I am very pleased to say Treble Bob have now sorted this issue for me and cleared the parking fine. Thank you

Fantastic pub lovely food best salad bar ever!!!

Been coming here 20+ years and love the eating here. But unfortunately I recently got a £100 parking fine as I did not realise you NOW need to register your car on arrival. I didn't see (or expect to see) a parking sign. So maybe you're staff could ask customers on arrival if they have registered their car as not everyone will be aware. This may save you from getting some bad reviews and not gaining returning customers.

Beautiful place staff lovely especially grace who was so helpful and kind nothing was too much trouble for her, definitely worth a visit and very good value for money

Visited here after a scooter Rideout and nipped in for a shandy. Drink was nice and refreshing and we sat outside as the weather was lovely

Savannah was great, the food was 10/10, the portions are quite generous aswell considering the lower price point. Will definitely return when I’m around this side of town.

I would love to give this place a 5 star review as the atmosphere is always great as well as the customer service. However it’s massively let down by the menu in my opinion. Would be nice to see some pub grub back in this place, a choice of a curry or even just some good sandwiches. Burgers are let down so we only come here for drinks now. Please consider looking at a better menu 🙏 would really like to spend more time here as we live locally. Salad bar as become more limited since we started visiting 3 years ago.

We came to Treble Bob as a family as there were a couple of birthdays and a wedding anniversary. Overall, the food was lovely but slightly disappointed for my husband as he had to settle for a 3rd choice as his the first 2 was out of stock. Great atmosphere 👌 Great customer service

Very poor experience. Attempted to get a table and was told over an hour wait without suggesting sitting outside even though warm sunny day, overheard someone else saying that a different party could sit outside as no wait time and therefore went back and was able to sit outside straight away. Not brought any cutlery or bowls for the salad bar. I ordered a chicken skewer which was dry and tasteless. Ordered kids meal and were not told it came with a free desert and that we should order that at the time, when we returned to the bar to ask for the dessert after meals finished they said we would have to pay extra to get the desert! Very poor customer service, would not recommend.

We booked a table for 14 people, a family gathering. We were seated in a very good position.. staff were all lovely and attentive without being overbearing. Food all arrived together and everyone was happy with their meal.. many thanks

Had a fabulous lunch here, today. I ordered the Cajun chicken flatbread which was absolutely lovely and the other half had his favourite, chicken combo. Everything, from the delicious Pimms I had to drink, to the fresh,plentiful salad bar was spot on. Big shout out to the waitresses too, attentive without being intrusive. A lovely lunch experience.

Food always amazing. Staff always very friendly and helpful. Only negative is that the male toilets smell really bad.

Missing several items, meaning 3 children had to share 1 meal between them!! a £67 order and just eat refused wouldn't refund missing items, ordered last week and was also missing an item but didnt bother complaining (not that it would seemingly done any good!) will not be using again.

We went on Father's Day for breakfast. We expected it to be busy, but we waited nearly 2 hours, people who had come in after us were eating dinner whilst we were still waiting for our breakfast. The attitude of the manager was disgusting. We had a diabetic and children with us, so we asked if we could have the toast while we wait, because we had been waiting so long. We got a firm no, and the attitude we got was so wrong. She literally tore into us in front of our children. The food was good once it arrived. But we will never return

Went for a breakfast, plenty of parking spaces just have to enter your reg in the restaurant. We were greeted and seated straight away and served by Megan who was very polite and friendly, she took good care of us and our orders and kept us topped on coffees.

Food and drinks were good. Service was great from Megan no problems at all. I had a 40% off and it was more than worth it. Started with salad from the salad bar and my dad had sirloin steak but couldn’t finish it 10/10

We were served and looked after Louisa, who was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and arrived within 30 mins, which gave us enough time to grab some free and unlimited salad. We will definitely be coming back.

Was greeted by a member of management (I think) I say greeted, they literally walked up to the door and just said “yeah?” Didn’t catch a name, they had short hair with a thick fringe and dark rimmed glasses. Thankfully, after that, the service improved considerably! I wish I had caught the names of the girls who served us (it changed shortly after we served) they were lovely and attentive. Food was great!

i love the place especially one of the waitresses Megan!! She’s so kind and makes sure your food is alright and gets your orders right at all times, my food is always lovely when i visit the harvester!!

We ate as a family of 7. The food was all excellent - we had various things including chips, burgers, kids pizzas, salad bar, peri peri chicken, halloumi, treacle pudding and kids sundaes. The service was quick and polite. Really impressed by the kids activity packs and play area. The pub needs repainting in areas but it's not grotty it's just worn from use.

Can't have two meals that are on offer chicken Tuesday/2 courses. Disappointed. Sat in a corner and I hoped it was chocolate sauce smeared on the wall.the paint was coming off and plaster showing through. And to top it all a fake fingernail was on the carpet a very nice pink colour as well as food residue.this is the second time I have walked out as I would have spent around £45 .very disappointed .

8.30pm Thursday arrival, salad bar 75% empty, slow service. Not a good start. Ordered a steak, arrived with cold chips, cold peas, cold mushrooms. Steak was OK Wasn't asked if all was well, people more interested in talking & setting up tables then dealing with customers. Ate it paid & left. Looks old & tired, shouldn't have bothered suggest you don't also
