Mcdonald's Restaurants in Bolsover

Very busy, sat outside in sun but breathing in car fumes from drive through.

I don't use this particular McDonald's that much as a rule, it's more for convenience for when my little daughter decides she wants to go to Crystal peaks for me to spoil her which is usually every Friday after school 😂, I find in this one it tends to attract a lot of young unruly teenagers which can be a bit off putting for the elderly and family groups, The staff seem to deal with it well though whilst remaining friendly and helpful to the remaining customers, This is just my opinion of this particular branch.

Forgot some items on our order. But lovely staff.

They had run out of fruit for our little one at dinnertime, they gave carrots but child not a fan of carrots.

We went for our first breakfast in over a year and it was nice and fresh and tasty 🙂

“This might be the best McDonald’s I’ve ever been to” said by my partner. We visited on a Saturday afternoon expecting it to be packed and average as McDonald’s normally is however this McDonald’s exceed our expectations in every sense. Service was quick and tables were clear and clean. chips were hot and salty, burgers perfectly seasoned and cooked. Staff were friendly and polite. Toilets clean and fresh. Everything it should be 10/10

On the last 3 occasions at the drive threw, I have received incorrect orders. The staff are very polite and kind but seem to be overworked and make mistakes.

Twice I have been charged for items which I didn't receive 1st visit paid on app the charged as they said it had been declined however still came out of bank twice 2nd visit charged on app and unable to collect as the site was coned off no access don't think I will visit again . Virtuall response on app is useless

I ordered a caramel frap and they put 2 massive ice cubes in it even, though the drink was iced, no need for ice cubes. By far the worst experience.

Just wanted to post after today's service through drive through around 4pm, the lad taking the order over the speaker, was so clear, respectable and a joy to have whilst placing the order, as we moved round to the next stage where you pay it was also the same guy, he is a credit to McDonald's and himself well done and thanks for great service.

Busy but I do enjoy a McDonald coffee

For the third time they got my order incorrect. I asked for no cheese and the receipt confirmed this yet there was a slice of cheese stuck to each side of the burger. It went straight in the bin. I was left with just fries but they were cold and so followed the burger. What a waste of time and money! I should have checked before I left but yet again was left sitting in the car park for so long I was eager to get home. Several times now I have driven past this McDonalds to go to the one in Worksop as it is so much more efficient. This is the last time I will visit here.

It's been 3 times now I've order through the app and my food has been wrong my big tasty has either no sauce and no cheese or just no cheese most recent order was missing chips and again no cheese or sauce on big tasty

Don’t deliver to whitwell but will deliver to hodthorpe, cresswell and clowne but won’t deliver to whitwell which is next to cresswell bad service

Food was warm, fresh and enjoyable Place was very clean

You could order a Coke and a fruit bag and you'll still end up being sent to grill parking.

Popped in for a burger. Good Burgers. Enjoyed. There was large table of teenagers in the burger bar. They were swearing and shouting continuously.

Ordered drive through got my food and drinks drove out of the car park only to find 3 food items missing i went back and into mds i told a member of staff about the shortage he brought me 3 bacon cheese flat breads no sorry for your inconvinience or any type of apology when i have paid for items i want them the service is getting worse this is the 3rd time this has happened in 2 months and the customer service is appaling

The one who invented paper straws is a real sadist. it just gets soggy. I will never order this cocktail again.

Needs to be brightened up a bit more

9/10 times you'll be asked to park when ordering via the drive through. It's certainly not fast food. Half of the time you have to stop them before your food is thrown through the window and check the items as they've usually forgotten something. When ordering via a delivery service such as Uber, you can guarantee that sauces won't be sent and usually an item of food is missing. Food is usually cold wether ordered or picked up yourself.

Only stopped to pick up a drink but it was speedy and as you would expect from a McDonalds.

Popped in on the the way back from a day out as daughter was hungry. The place was nearly empty which was good as we thought we be able to get our food quicker lol we went in and ordered as a member of family needed the toilet which was absolutely filthy and disgusting. Ordered my good which wasn't much just a wrap meal and hot chocolate and it took forever while waiting more and more ppl came in who were served before us, I mention3d it and they said they was waiting on wrap yet ppl after us got theirs we literally saw them making them. Some staff were mucking about with a mop shame they didn't use it to go clean the toilets the area near the sauces was a mess bin was full ketchup up the wall and hadn't been refilled in fact my daughter wanted ketchup with her meal to be told we had to buy the sauce in end a girl gave us 2 after all if ur free sauce is empty its onlyy fair and I've never been charged for sauce when buying a meal before. My parents who came with us had their meal ordered messed up and missing item so had to wait around longer to be sorted. The place has certainly gone down hill, looked dirty and messy and service was slow despite hardly anyone was in.. doubt I be going back there again.

Why dose google maps say your open 24 hr but 12 am your closed?

I always like a cheeky Maccy D's it's not as good as McDonald's used to be in the olden days but it still has great food.

Ordered via Uber, ordered amongst other things a triple cheeseburger only cheese, they sent a bun with 3 cheese slices and no burgers in 🤣 Tonight the drinks I ordered was 2 large and 1 medium chocolate milkshake received a large sprite a large orange and a small vanilla milkshake. This place is an absolute joke 😒. The place could be empty and they still make you go in the car park and wait whoever came up with this idea should be made to sweep the car park with a toothbrush 🪥 because that's all that their good for

Typical Mc Donald, always hits the spot. Big Mac meal. Yummee

Was very busy and a few errors were creeping in, but everything was resolved quickly and without any real issues. Most of the problems were caused by impatient customers

Just had caramel lattes. Server was a great guy and made us feel very welcome. Brought the goods to our table. Good price. Recommended.

Had to wait in parking bay as food needed to be cooked, however when it arrived none of it was even hot.

Disappointed that after ordering a hot chocolate after my evening shift I received a drink with a receipt in the bottom of the cup. This is disgusting customer service and would have surely seen this fall in the drink and take it out not just put a lid on it and serve to the customer…

It's a McDonald's hat can we say? Not a reflection on this particular venue as the quality is consistent wherever you go. Must admit, the customer service is pretty good at this one. Well done team, keep up the good work 👏 🙌 👍

Used drive thru- had to wait in the bay but the food wash hot and freshly made so that was good. The lad who was taking the order and on the till was really friendly... Great to brighten your day.

Really nice location, friendly staff, clean inside, and the food is better presented here, in comparison to other Mc Donalds restaurants.

It's body fuel if nowhere else is open

Just went to get a coffee, (£1.99), gave £5.00 and received £2.99 change! I told the nan he was wrong. So off he went to get a manager. Twice more he asked me what the change should have been and after all that, the was barely warm. PATHETIC

Clean resteraunt, close walk to the ibis and great staff. Nice location too

Went to the drive thru and ordered a large Mcplant meal and a triple cheese burger. Got to the window and the woman said Mcplant meal and a cheese burger. I didn't think anything of it and paid. Then I thought hold on I ordered a triple cheese burger. So I said I ordered a triple cheese burger and was willing to pay the difference. They resolved the order swiftly with no extra charge. Well done great service 👏🏾 👍🏽

I visit this place almost every Saturday for breakfast. It's generally nice and I had many good experiences with my children and a friend. Friendly staff. Well, almost no options for vegetarian(Indian) breakfast except Porridge, hash brown. It will be really helpful to have some plant based food on the menu for the breakfast. Last week, Hot Chocolate was almost like a flavoured hot water. Of course, it's only time we had this experience but all the remaining times it was good.

On several occasions while visiting here in person, or through deliveroo / ubereats services, we have not received all our order. Usually we are missing a burger or wrap when our order arrives (the most expensive part of our meal) Only other issue with the service, is that it is slow. The workers are polite and willing to help. It is often very busy which must not be helpful for them; hense the number of mistakes in orders / deliveries.

Service was slower than most McDonalds but perhaps it was worth it because food was far better than some McDonalds. So not so much ‘fast food’ but better quality

I honestly think it’s faster to drive down to 29a order and drive back than going through the drive through. Almost every order gets asked to pull up and wait and you’re waiting 10+ minutes.

DriveThru was very busy with a slow moving line of vehicles. Usual McDonald’s fare.

Was technical problems ordering in-house - did not show on their system. When brought to their attention,took 20 mins to do mayo chicken and a McFlurry. Staff at front of house very unhelpful and quite rude/abrupt. Staff member doing cleaning was the opposite - tried to sort the problem

Really slow drive through, been a few times and had the same experience

Called after school run as a treat,having got home (roughly 5 miles away) found out after opening bag our order was incorrect..missing food, wrong food in bag...got back in car and drove back and went inside to say we haven't got our right order. The manager (presuming this is his title) guy in white shirt anyways was not understanding and looked like it was more a hassle we had returned to say incorrect order, customer service is definitely not on his CV!!!!..Will not be returning to this franchise and ask others to think twice at going here...and if you do..inspect your order b4 driving away!!! BE AWARE!!!!!

J30 M1 McDonalds is always clean and tidy but last visit was very poor service, we walked out. Stood at counter to be served, seen by a staff member who said they would come, then did other things and left me standing, a white shirt spoke to her at the time I walked away, she then came running after us. This site I generally very good we stop regularly but have noticed recently that if the older staff are working it’s a much better service generally, please not to say all the youngsters are poor, more like the 30something group. MacDonalds have also to address this attitude in many sites that we only serve the counter when nothing else to do.

Just a joke. Took us half an hour to get drive thru service when there were only 6 cars in front of us when we pulled in. Worst McDonalds I’ve ever been to

I have visited this McDonald's in Barlborough 3 times this week due to work and on each occasion the screens to order food are dirty and there has been no sanitizer in any of the stations. No wonder we have bacteria all over and people not well. Very poor.

This is my local McDonald's but I won't be coming again. Waited 25 minutes before receiving our food. Lots of other disgruntled people regarding waiting time. When it finally came the chips were lukewarm as were the burgers but everyone was hungry, after waiting so long. Took the happy meal home, opened the melon bag & it stunk, it was sour. Should have realised seeing the bag blown up. Final straw ! Had we not returned home I would have complained about all of it. I have been going to Barlborough for a number of years but I won't be going again. It was shocking !!

Used drive through, food took too long so they said park in car park, car park full. Asked a rude member of staff for help, she said go park on the road. Complained to another member of staff and they looked like a fright Ned rabbit in the headlights. My advice is so not move from the window until your food is ready, not that I’d ever visit this inept restaurant especially when there’s a Kentucky as a better alternative next door!

Worst McDonalds ever, absolute chaos, staff didn’t know what they were doing, wandering around looking aimless, took 30mins to get our order, whoever the franchisee is they need to sort this franchise asap.

Quick bite in this very busy restaurant, ordered off the screen instead of queuing. we got 2 cappuccino, 2 chilli chicken wraps and 2 medium fries for a total of £7.78. Good value and the wraps were very nice as we sat down in this clean McDonald’s just off the M1 motorway.

I've been through the drive through probably 12 times, little to no queue an food is usually handed to me as I pull up at the collection window. Keep up the great work.

This is a nice little services area and the McDonalds is easy to locate, with plenty of car parking. Food was usual McD food easy to get to and not expensive

Pulled off the motorway and staff who were friendly helped us do every thing. The speed of the preparation of the food was not that fast but the food was delicious.

Hard to review a McDonald's, they're all pretty much of a muchness. They serve food, do so in a reasonable fashion and in a reasonable time.

I am all for giving kids a job, but are there none out there with any intelligence ? I asked for a Big Mac without lettuce and mayonnaise and when it arrive low and behold there was lettuce and mayonnaise on it.

Clean and tidy it can get busy at dinner times. The staff are friendly. Does exactly what it says on the tin.

This McD's has been revamped. It was good before it's even better now. Just pull off at J30 and Breakfast or lunch, dinner or snack is served.

Qué decepción fue cuando visité esta rama hoy (sábado 31 / 12 / 2016 11:59 horas). El primer tema fue tan pronto entramos en el edificio nos irrumpía fuera del camino cuando nos acercamos al mostrador para pedir nuestra 1 comidas. El miembro del personal (hombre joven) era extremadamente grosero moping el suelo con agua que parecían haber salido de la vieja hoguera Colliery eje. Para hacer cuestión peor decidió lavar nuestras encimeras de zapatos con el mop. Su falta de consideración en toda la fachada mostrador moping, en vez de hacer media y espera hasta que se secó para hacer la otra mitad era de salud y seguridad (gormlessly fomentando un accidente a ocurrir).

The one of M1 motorway near Markham never has what you want and when you complain you come with sarcastic staff !!!! No very good service the manager at the drive through today was sarcastic too ..... that's good customer training I guess ..... Mcdonald people you will never be busy with out your customers.
