The best restaurants in England

Had takeout pizzas the first visit and we decided to dine in the second. Food and service exceptional.

A trip to Hunny isn't complete without visiting The Coffee Pot. A good selection of home cooked breakfasts, sandwiches and cake. The coffee is really good too. The staff are always friendly and hospitable. Even the prices are great value. Possibly the best cafe in town 👍

This is a really nice café selling so many delicious baked goods, savoury and sweet. The atmosphere is really cosy and the staff are really friendly. We was served by Nathan Thomas and he is so helpful and friendly. I have tried many different pastries and pasties, I love all of them, also tried the sausage rolls and it was also delicious. Their range of drinks are also delicious. I would recommend anyone to give it a try. You can eat in or take away, there is something for everyone.

We were 5 people. Ordered set menu Appetizers came at different times so 3 people had theirs while other two had to wait half an hour for theirs. Whole service took almost 3 hours the waiting time between meals was really long. This wouldn’t be much of an issue if the food was worth it. Unfortunately everything was quite bland, portions were small and just overall both worth it. Small piece of fish (very fresh but completely unseasoned) with burned parsnip and lemony sauce which was quite nice but not very interesting flavors. After we finally got a dessert we asked for the bill so we can leave when we finish eating as we had another reservation, the waiter said “we need the table back anyway” we waited for the food very long time to be told this. Unfortunately quite a disappointing experience.

We were very hurried throughout our visit by the staff. We were asked twice for our drinks order before we'd had a chance to look at the menu - in fact our bottoms had barely touched the chairs! A table was brought over and set aside next to us, ready to extend it for the next customers, before we had finished. It's a real shame because it was our daughter's favorite place to eat before she moved away, and she'd come to visit for her birthday. The food was delicious as always, however we weren't looked after very well at all.

Can’t fault it! Beautiful area, great staff and service, and faultless food. I had a beef roast dinner which was the best I’ve ever eaten! Will definitely be back soon :)

Vaya. Qué alegría haber venido aquí. Aquí es donde la ciencia se encuentra con el arte. Impresionante comida cocinada con pasión y explicada con estilo. La ostra fue una revelación, y el cordero era apropiadamente especial, pero todo lo demás era delicioso también. Los vinos eran hermosos y estaban bien maridados con la comida, con historias encantadoras para explicar cada uno de ellos, incluyendo la sidra de Somerset. El personal era amable, relajado y atractivo. Fue un regalo apropiado. No es barato pero igualmente siento que tengo buen valor. ¡Si puedes ir allí, hazlo! Con muchas gracias a James, Sandia y el equipo en general. Bravo!

It's a great chippy where the food is of a very good standard. Excellent chips, tasty chip shop curry sauce, luminous green mushy peas, and great portion sizes. What more can you ask for!

A new pub to visit to meet old friends and we were allowed to take our big fox red lab in provided he behaved himself. Sadly, my mate didn’t get the memo after a lager and a large glass of the red stuff! But we stayed and were delighted with the roasts and whilst the beef was medium it was a million times better than some we have had on our travels. Great veg and the girls loved the Bread-and-butter pudding and the Banoffee pie. My mad mate enjoyed the sushi as a dessert. Nuff said……. Oh also great Harvey’s ale and super friendly dog loving staff. Great destination venue. Well Done Kim
