Dos Dedos in Bath and North East Somerset

Fab spot for people who like tequila. We came on a quiet Sunday evening but there was still a nice atmosphere - the staff are all lovely and friendly and the drinks made well. We had the nachos with beef which was really good - would love to come back and try and the tacos!

Very vibey tapas place. Limited menu but very tasty food. Loved the chilli beef taco & a cold beer to wash it down. Noisy atmosphere in this' garage' feel so not recommended for a lingering quiet meal. 😁

Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful, can't fault that. The nachos were good and well worth getting. However the tacos and quesadilla were small and fairly underwhelming at almost £10 for each dish. Fairly bland and lacked depth unfortunately. Would definitely go back for a drink.

Absolutely fantastic food with a brilliant atmosphere. We were immediately greeted and seated at our table with the menus for us. The staff explained the menu and gave some amazing recommendations. We tried all the tacos available and they were brought out hot and were incredible. Very flavoursome with the perfect flavour combinations and the margaritas were the best I’ve ever had. The staff were all so friendly and nothing was too much for them. We would recommend the place in a heartbeat, we were both so impressed with the service and the food.

While in Bath for the Christmas markets we popped in for lunch. The nachos were surprisingly good, smothered in the cheese sauce which was delicious. However the tacos were a miss - although the concept of Teriyaki tofu was great the chili oil was way too spicy! The refried bean quesadillas were burnt and lacked taste. Cocktails - Spicy Margs and Palomas were good! Probably due to the busy Saturday crowd the food came out with delays.

We travelled down from Swindon and stumbled across this place... we we're served by Ryan. He was brilliant, so funny and very attentive. The place made us all feel so welcome, the food are drink are amazing also. If you're in Bath you've got to come here!

Me and 3 others got a table on Saturday 9th November and it was an incredible experience!! We had a table at the bar and had the BEST food, the bar man Aaron was so lovely and gave us the best cocktails and a few cheeky shots. We also had a lovely guy Joe who was providing us with amazing service throughout the night. Thank you Dos Dedos!!! I will 100% be bringing my friends here again.

We had the most incredible night here at Dos Dedos, our bartender Aaron and the manager Joe were so welcoming and just absolutely great vibes overall. The food was 10/10 and Aaron knew so much about the different tequilas and gave us the most incredible shots. The drinks were well priced and even the bouncer was super nice and kept everyone entertained while we waited for our table. Can't wait to visit again, best place in Bath!!

Rude and Arbitrary Treatment – Don’t Bother! Our night out was spoiled by the rude and unfair treatment my friend received at the door. She was turned away simply because the doorman didn’t like how she walked up – which, given the uneven, cobbled street, was no easy feat. The doorman made a snap judgment and refused to discuss it, brushing off any chance for clarification and refusing to admit he might’ve been wrong. It was as if he’d made up his mind the second she walked up, and nothing else mattered. We used to go their for fun but that wasn't a good experience. Thankfully, we moved on to BBS, where the atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was warm, and we had a lovely evening. If you’re looking for a place that respects its guests, skip this place and head to BBS instead! Response: Could you clarify the doorman policy? On a previous visit, we experienced inconsistent behavior, including one doorman making unprofessional advances. While your bar staff are consistently excellent, the approach and conduct of the doormen could benefit from improvement. Thank you for addressing this feedback.

Normally quite love this place but got refused literally just now for being too pissed. Yes I'm pissybut it's ruined a group of 10 pals meeting up and I'm really fine. A bit too much door man power....... won't bother for at least 5 years that's my grudge time for such a rude assessment of me.

I loooove Dos Dedos. Tacos are always excellent but my favourite thing is the special 'Think Drink' that changes regularly but always offers something unique at a great value.

Visited Dos Dedos before seeing a show last night, the atmosphere was really buzzing and the food was absolutely fantastic. We had a few rounds of tacos and some Tommy's margaritas. Hughie who served us was really friendly and accommodating and we moved to a lower table once one opened up and he made sure we could get all our food and cocktails before we had. To head off for the show. Highly recommended, all the tacos were delicious.....I want more now!

A cool and relaxed place to try tequilas and mezcal

Tacos were fine, nothing special. I suspect the 5 star ratings which mention food were caused by alcohol consumption. They do have a great bartender.

Very small place with an interesting menu. You cannot book ahead, but they try to get people turned over pretty quickly. They have happy hour margaritas (2 for £12, I think) until 7pm. When we arrived, we had to wait at some nice standing tables where we could order drinks for a few mins. Note this was right at 7pm on a Friday. Our drinks took quite awhile, but I think that’s because we arrived just as happy hour was ending. They have loads of mezcal cocktails. The food was interesting but good! The nachos needed more cheese, but we got a side of it. The staff were all working very hard to keep up. Would definitely recommend!

The tacos were really innovative and yummy. They are small. The service was pretty bad... I showed up a few minutes after they opened and was told to return in 10 minutes. When I returned in 10 minutes, there were no tables, so they told me I could stand at a barrel and they would seat me when a table became available. But they never sat me, and instead sat others who were at a barrel that came in after me. It was difficult to obtain a menu, and more difficult to flag down a server to make an order. The margarita was good. I was hungry after eating the two tacos, and I tried to flag someone down to make another order, but after more than 10 minutes, I gave up and went to another resto for more food. It took me more than 50 minutes to get those two tacos, which feels like a long time when you are standing. As someone who used to live in Southern California, I was pretty offended by "British Pea Guacamole" (and there was no option for a guac with avocados). In sum, food was good but servings were small, service was horrible, won't be back.

I’m so disappointed, we came to DD earlier this year and it was so great, but something has gone horribly wrong. This place has descended from an excellent Western take on Mexican food to a menu that would be more suitable at an Odeon. We had the chicken nachos, which were comprised of solely cheap and inedibly poor quality ingredients, including “pea guacamole” which is just mushy peas (unseasoned), are avocados that expensive? Then we had the refried bean quesadillas which were just mushy beans (not refried), cheap tortillas and a very sweet hot sauce. We ate almost none of it and paid full price despite the staff noticing we had barely touched our food. If the proprietors are reading this, I would honestly really like to know what’s happened. Is it a new management that has never eaten Mexican food before, or is it the English public once again destroying great restaurants with their need for familiar, bland, poor quality, highly processed foods? Where did that beautiful fun vibrant tasty wonderful place go? I miss her and I want her back. It was truly disheartening and one of the few restaurants in this part of the country we recommended to friends. We just pray they went before the momentously fast and extreme descent.

It doesn't have much to do with real tacos. Tasty, but a bit strange and definitely too much and inappropriate mayonnaise… the margaritas are tiny for the price and instead of the normal 3 you only get 2 tacos. Staff was friendly and quick, worth a detour.

Fantastic Ceviche, great service, great atmosphere and great music. I recommend this restaurant with my eyes closed! Their paper menus are very well done and fun. A perfect detour 👍

Great tacos and great margaritas- what more could you want

Really lovely experience, as soon as we walked in we felt welcomed and that nothing was too much trouble. Managed allergies well and it didn't feel like an inconvenience. Great tacos, great tap water!

Popped in for a drink and dinner for date night and had the loveliest, most welcoming experience. Our server Maisie was so kind and made sure we were looked after, and the food and drinks were amazing. We will definitely come back, 100% worth the visit!

The food here is delicious and the staff are so lovely and helpful. The only problem was that the portions were quite small for the price, my partner payed £6 for a small can of beer. However we thoroughly enjoyed everything else.

We all shared the food till I had the pork tacos at which point I ordered another plate just for me I loved it 😋. Staff where brilliant and very attentive could not fault in any way. We had such a wonderful experience at Dos Dedos. From the moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed and found a seat quickly. The atmosphere was so much fun. The tacos and cocktails were faultless. We really felt like we could have been in Mexico! Such a quaint little gem and so glad we found it. Next time we are in bath we will Be sure to return!

Cosy bar with a nice vibe. Food was tasty and staff looked after us well. Would recommend the Katsu pork taco and Ceviche (sea bass). Cocktails were good too!

Dos Dedos is one of my fave restaurants in Bath. Always delicious food and especially great for me as I’m gluten free. So much to choose from. The staff are always friendly and they know their tequila! We were told one tasted like liquid tirimisu and he was 100% right - delicious. Love the atmosphere here and will be back.

Seated quickly just after opening and it filled up quickly. Amazing atmosphere, great service. We got a Catalytic Converter cocktail which came with a tortilla chip, the beef tacos and the chicken which were all amazing. Never had anything like the cocktail and highly recommend if you’re around

Okay WOW the cocktails not only sounded fantastic, they tasted it too. The corn + pineapple one was probably the best tequila based cocktail I’ve ever had. (Sorry I forgot what it was called!!) Sadly the guac had peas so we had to skip, but the tacos were scrummy. We both agreed the chicken was our favourite + your pickled onions were awesome. Thank you for the tequila recs too! Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Bath (or living there) Cheers lads

this is the only good mexican food i’ve been able to find in the UK. the salsa verde is very yummy. portions are a little small but still enough food for a meal. very fun vibe. great classic margarita. friendly and helpful staff. great happy hour special if you get here early enough

Popped in for cocktails before dinner. We were a bit wary because there was loud music playing and we're kind of old. But we took a firm grip of our zimmer frames and sallied forth. Very amiable welcome, nice table and ordered 2 margaritas. Absolutely delicious. I fancied a nibble but, as we were in public, I ordered nachips instead. They were so-so, not really an eating place more of a bar. A young clientele as one would expect, including 2 inebriated young women who were loud but not intrusive. 2 more drinks and we were set for dinner.

Drinks were nice but the food was only ok, especially the vegetarian options for the tacos were kind of sad and one set we ordered were super burnt. The service was quite slow, although it's a tiny kitchen so was understandable from a practical point of view. I would maybe try it again and just eat more nachos. For the meat eaters, they said their tacos were excellent.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough, it’s a must visit if you are in Bath. The staff are the nicest people, could not be more friendly or fun, we actually ended up coming here twice this weekend because we had the best time! The drinks were amazing some of the best margaritas I’ve ever had (high praise) and the tunes were on point. The vibe was just so lovely everyone in the bar so friendly, special shout out to Fitzroy for looking after our stuff and making sure we were having the best time. The best team! Thank you all for being so welcoming and we’ll be back again (post wedding) for sure.

We came across this bar whilst wandering around looking at menus for our evening meal after spending time in the Thermae Spa. What a great place! From the moment we stopped outside, we were greeted by the doorman who was moving to the music and you could see inside this small bar that the vibe was happy and that everyone was having fun. We were first offered a standing space to wait for a table and ordered our cocktails from there, whilst browsing the menu. It wasn't long before a table was available and we could order and enjoy our tacos. Wow! We chose a portion of the special (lamb) and one of the beef taco (2 x tacos per portion). I can honestly say, that I have never tasted tacos so authentic since my trip to Mexico in 1992! I was blown away with the flavours. The staff are so friendly and fun - you really must try Dos Dedos.

Absolutely class hidden gem of Bath! Mexican restaurants are few and far between in Bath with just the usual chains present. This is worth seeking out, a simple menu with tonnes of flavour choices. Atmosphere is excellent with classic hip-hop tracks booming through the sound system. Excellent waiting staff and a huge selection of tequila and mescal to get the night started. 10/10 choice for a night out. Enjoy

Came here for my birthday in January after accidentally spotting while walking past. Cannot recommend this place more. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. The place is also very suitable for vegan diets.

Completely gluten free menu, was brilliant for my coeliac partner not having to worry about food prep. Margarita happy hour was dangerous, will definitely be back!

Hired Dos Dedos out for a private party of about 45 people. Billy and his team were outstanding. They made sure everyone had a drink in their hand all night, the food was amazing and kept coming and they even came round taking personal orders to make sure everyone had had enough. I would highly recommend hiring this place out, it was brilliant.

We went here for a special comedy night with Belly Laughs, to raise money for Julian House, and had a great time! The food is really good, with a good choice of beers and an excellent mezcal margarita. The service is very attentive and food comes out quickly and feel healthy but tasty. There are plenty of gluten free options, and I think the kitchen might be totally gluten free. Also very easy to get to from the train station for those in Bristol.

This place is amazing. We have been here twice. Get prepared to be blown away by their amazing (and reasonably priced) tequila cocktails and their tasty nachos and tacos. This place has great service and a great atmosphere. The waiters were super friendly and charismatic despite being rather busy. The music was excellent. On the whole I would say that the vibe is relaxed and unpretentious. It's hard to imagine how you couldn't have a good time here. Our favourite tacos were the pulled pork tacos but all were delicious. We left with a smile on our faces and our bellies full. Unforgettable.

What a hidden gem! We were really lucky to turn up at about 6pm when there was plenty of space - within an hour the place was packed! It’s clearly a hit with locals and we can see why - the food and drinks were great, the service team so welcoming and the atmosphere great. The tacos and nachos were amazing - very different in style to the cliched pub version and far more authentic Mexican - and the cocktails with a Mexican twist (like tequila or Pisco as the base) were delicious. It’s small plates, but perfectly formed - so much so that we had a second round! Definitely a top place if you can get a table!

Dos Dedos is one of the most incredible dining spots in Bath. My girlfriend and I have eaten here on three occasions and the service, food and drink is exceptional. The passion that Billy the manager gives off is so infectious. He and his team provide an incredible dining experience that we have never felt with another bar or restaurant since. Anyone visiting Bath this is a must go!

Saw a good review of this place on Reddit, whilst visiting Bath for a long weekend, and I’m very glad we went! The tacos were lush, two to a portion, well filled with delicious toppings in fresh tortillas. You could smell the freshness of the tortillas when you walked in, always a good sign. Good selections of cocktails and mocktails. Service was super quick and very friendly, despite being a busy Saturday night. 10/10, would recommend. We paid £60-odd for 4 tacos, a cocktail, a mock tail and 2/3 of beer. Also, the vibes were great. A nice neighbourhood hangout.

Stumbled into Dos Dedos by pure chance on an early afternoon stroll through Bath. We love authentic tacos ever since having been to Mexican restaurants in Madrid. Tiny place with just a few tables but lovely atmosphere. Very friendly service, great Margherita (pays off to use high quality Mezcal) and amazing tacos. Easily up there with the best we've had so far. Spices and flavours perfectly balanced. And all being created in the tiniest of kitchens. Bravo!

I have travelled through Mexico and this is a real taste of Mexico. Hard to find places like this to eat and drink these days.

A great fun, off the wall independent tequila and Mezcal bar doing it just the right way. We came for happy hour which got busy really quickly, we got a great seat where we could see everything and got great service from our guy we'd met a few hours earlier and who'd told us about happy hour (5-7pm). We ordered two Merzcal Margeritas (£14 for two during happy hour) , these came in traditional margerita glasses, really very very nice indeed and were delicious, absolutely perfect. Its a cool place, its got a great vibe, everyone was happy and you've got a great choice of drink or Mexican inspired snack and meal menu. If I had one thing to improve, and its only small. Happy hour is very busy and we'd have had another drink but ran out of time due to waiting. Could do with more than one person making cocktails Couldn't recommend it more highly though, its a joy to visit

Ate here this evening after a long drive from Cornwall. The drinks are real good!Generous with the tequila and really delicious. My wife had an non alcohol margarita and that was super tasty also. We had the plantain, pulled pork and brisket tacos and they were all amazing. Staff were nice guys and the vibe was really cool and a relaxed.

A cool place but being charged service charge on a shot is annoying. I can’t have been there for longer than 5-10 minutes.
