The best restaurants in England

What a discovery! Only found it as I took a wrong turning but how lucky I was. Followed signs for Mamf’s Cafe and had one of the best traditional fry ups I’ve had for a long time. Staff exceptionally friendly and accommodating (I do like my bacon done to death and they knew exactly what I meant). I will return.

Really nice food at a bargain price these days, at a catering college staffed by young people in training for cooking and hospitality careers. Friendly and attentive service, albeit some forgivable mistakes (they're just learning!). Nice to help them in their careers. The food is a fixed 3-course menu with 3 choices per course, for £18. Not a lot of atmosphere when we were there as it was quiet midweek, but apparently it's busier at weekends.

Try today kebab. All fresh very nice. Worth try. Will return again. Really recommend, different than the other restaurant

We eat here at least once a month, perfect breakfast at reasonable prices, 8/10. For a no frills café it's one of the best in Southend.

Worth a visit good quality tasty food . A warm welcome and you're a genuinely valued customer. What a gem we found been going a while now and always made to feel that there's nothing to much trouble

Well this is a little find... Loves in Taunton for 30 years and never knew this place was here! Very very nice, great price.. The menu looks gorgeous and I can't wait to test it out! Only popped in whilst passing as I walked into town, so a very nice coffee and a cheeky oreo brownie! Highly recommend

Amazing food, everything was really good! Pricing was good too, not overly expensive. A nice variety of dishes to pick from, gluten free options available too. Staff were really lovely. There is inside and outside (covered area) seating. Graze tapas is also dog friendly which is nice, but it was quite busy and loud so might not be good for all pups.

We ordered 2 thali’s to take away, very authentic, completely plastic free and friendly staff. Easily the best veggie food in town.

Genuinely the best coffee around in Torbay. Well made, decent coffee and great cakes as well. Worthy of a detour to get a good cup

All things considered (including the price), this is, pound for pound, one of the best restaurants in London and it is nothing less than a tragedy that it is shortly going to close. I feel very bad (particularly now) that I have not previously left a review. We have been there many times (including with groups who had never visited before) and the feedback has been ubiquitously (and rightly) glowing. The food is sensational (and significantly better than in a lot of "fancier" places that would charge at least twice as much) and Jonathan is an extraordinarily welcoming and charming host who enhances everyone's experience. They were very unlucky with COVID and historically this location has been difficult for restaurants. The restaurant has often not seemed as busy as it ought to be (given how good it is) and I can completely understand their decision. But Chelsea is about to lose an absolute jewel.

It was my first time eating peluda today and It was great experience. So meaty a juicy you have to try for yourself. Thank you very much for your hard work!

Delicious food, great atmosphere. Every time we have visited the food is on point. Please make the effort to visit, it’s definitely worth it.

The food was absolutely disgusting. Cold, greasy, and looked unpalatable. I couldn’t eat it and they didn’t even ask why. Avoid!

This is such a great find, amazing food and wonderful service. There are so many dishes I’d recommend, my favourite Indian restaurant in London.
