The Great Indian Kitchen in Lambeth

This is such a great find, amazing food and wonderful service. There are so many dishes I’d recommend, my favourite Indian restaurant in London.

Very disappointing. Main dish is purely sauce, very skimp on the chicken. Lacking flavour. Saag was a liquid.

We had a very enjoyable meal here this evening. The dosa was very good, as were our vegetarian mains. Strongly recommend the restaurant.

We visited this restaurant by chance on a weekend visit to london, having been unable to get a table at one we were aiming for and were so glad we did. This was hands down the best Indian food we’d ever had. Starters were so unusual and tasty. The lamb byriani with accompanying sauces was perfect and must try delicious butter chicken . To add to it the staff are super kind and friendly despite being busy. They were really nice with our one year old baby and he enjoyed himself too. Please visit this place. You will love it.

Exceptional, truly authentic Keralan food. I lived in Fort Cochin many years ago and this food took me straight back there. I haven't ever tasted anything like it in the UK. Beautiful spices and flavours. Everything freshly made to order. And unbelievable value. I had a fish thali and a sweet lassi and my meal came to under £20.

5 stars aren’t enough to describe this restaurant, it is absolutely amazing! The best indian food I have ever eaten! And the staff? So polite! If you are around, please go and have a wonderful lunch/dinner, because you absolutely will!

Nipped in here before a gig at Hootenannys and wasn't disappointed. All home cooked and so much better than the westernised Indian restaurants we're used to. My wife had the fish curry, my son the veg kizhi and I had the colombo chicken curry. Absolutely delicious, all of it, and staff very courteous. With great food and a fantastic gig, our night in Tulse Hill was one to remember.

I tried this restaurant for the first time with an Indian friend, and we were both very impressed with the food. Deliciously spiced chicken and beef starters, with fish curry, cooked in a banana leaf, which my friend approved of as authentic Keralan fare. The service was good too, as was the atmosphere. I will definitely be returning.

The fish pollicha was excellent, very aromatic, and exquisite taste. Owner is very friendly, and accommodating. Highly recommended this place to everyone.
