Just tried the chicken biryani here, and I’m really impressed! The rice was perfectly cooked, fluffy and flavorful, with each grain well-seasoned. *Alert - do not order* Ordered butter chicken, garlic chicken, naan and roti through Uber eats. Butter chicken was a sweet coconut dish which belongs to the desserts menu. I’ve never tasted such sweet butter chicken anywhere in the world. There was no butter or cream and the chicken pieces had red artificial colour all over. Garlic chicken was straight out of a cold freezer gravy. Roti and naan were soggy and undercooked. Overall this restaurant reminded me of older Indian restaurants in western countries where food is unauthentic, stale and artificial- full of sugar and artificial colours. They get away because the locals new to Indian food don’t know what fresh and authentic Indian food tastes like.

This was my first time trying from the restaurant and everything was delicious 10/10. I heard a man talking highly about the restaurant on the bus and I thought let me try sure glad I did as I will definitely be ordering from here again. #BigUpTheChef10/10!

lovely food , never fails to impress me

The food was genuinely tasty. Excellent service. People are really friendly. Most of all, the delivery was real quick. Chicken tikka masala has slight bit of sweet elements to it but tasty.

I ordered a chicken dansak was 10/10 I have tried all the Indian takeaways. In the southwest area and have. Not come anywhere near this place. Well recommended. Also the chicken pathia Was excellent. And the pilau rice. Was so tasty. We'll be definitely ordering again.

I ordered a delivery via UberEats and the food came within good time . We were given 2 free popadoms, 3 sauces and a box of prawn cocktail which was appreciated. My friend ordered a chicken tikka masala which she said she enjoyed very much so. The pilau rice, peshwari naan, meat samosa and onion bhajis were good. However , I would say the onion bhajis and peshwari naan were quite small. The flavour of the lamb bhuna was very nice but the meat itself was a bit dry. Overall, the food was decent.

We had a takeaway last night and as always, it was superb - the Chicken Sagwala was sublime, lots of subtle flavours and succulent chicken. King Prawn Delight as good as we remember - creamy, flavoursome and huge juicy prawns.

Delicious takeout! Highly recommend. And a very friendly owner. We had yummy poppadoms, chicken tikka masala, lamb saag, paneer dansak and nan breads—all freshly made and everyone enjoyed.

Absolutely disgusting do not order from here. Watery and lukewarm, clearly not fresh in the slightest. All went down the toilet and re-ordered from another place.

Yes! Yes! Yes! The best Indian food in the whole of Brixton. Don’t waste your time anywhere else. Their food is packed full of fresh ingredients, herbs, spices and also the meat which is so fresh, tender and yummy. You can taste that their food is cooked with love. I recommend Bombay Kitchen more than 100%. Thank you Chefs!

Ordered via their own website and got no confirmation the order being prepared so had to call and confirm. Okay all good being prepared. When’s the food was was disappointed. My Ceylon lamb curry was something I feel I could have knocked up at home and my girlfriend paneer Dupiaza was like Paneer in a thin soup! The onion Bhajis were decent and the popadoms were a nice touch but overall disappointing curries.

It’s gorgeous, the Prawn Puri is stunning, the Biriyani amazing too. Lovely, fresh flavoursome food from someone who is a huge fan on the Uk curry scene.

Went there for quick dinner. The menu offers a good variety of burgers, sides and milkshakes. The staff are friendly, maybe need to be slightly more professional when greeting arriving customers. The food arrived after a reasonable time and it was absolutely delicious. The onion rings are massive and very tasty. Overall good experience

Help! Missing bombay kitchen chef! We have been using bombay kitchen for many years now and was formerly on brixton hill and was known as the bombay inn. The food was outstanding, serving some of the best dishes i had ever tried from over the world. Sadly it has changed. Maybe the chef has left! We normally purchase a chicken tikka roll. Not actually on the menu, but a speciality with huge pieces of chicken tikka, lettuce tomato and onion with a mint dip sauce that can not be compared with anywhere else. Sadly tonight i think another restaurant made it. Maybe the bombay inn delivered instead. The naan bread was not up to its beautiful usual standard with small pieces of tikka and a very different mint dip. Chicken tikka and lamb biriyani: Again not the usual excellent standard, with half size pieces of meat and the rice not up to the usual standard. The mint dip from the bombay kitchen had always been outstanding and a great accompaniment for the onion bahjis, again another disappointment. Half size bahjis and someone elses mint dip. Very disappointed and sad to see a quality restaurant change for the worse. Although the food was edible the portions and the chef are sadly missed. Sorry to say goodbye! Goodbye bombay.

We were looking for some take out food at 10:30PM. We ordered balti chicken. It was delicious, first time trying it. The service was very friendly, respectful and helpful(that comes a long way since we were foreigners). Highly recommend.

Could’ve made a better vegan set menu at home

I called for a takeaway to be delivered. They took my order, telephone number and address. They said it would be about 30 minutes. I called back about 40 minutes later after not receiving the order. A different man answered the phone attempting to convince me that he had called me back and I said I would collect the order and that he recognised my voice. He then tells me that I should check my phone for evidence of him calling me back. He then says someone else must have answered my phone. He was adamant that he called me and was so rude. I simply answered that I am at home on my own my phone hasn't rung and I haven't had any such conversation with him. I cancelled the order. People be aware of who you eat from because this man is quite clearly deluded.

This was a great meal. The food came on time and was tasty, filling and satisfying. I love the fact that I can trust the quality, I'm really pleased I decided to order.

The food was delivered promptly and was nicely hot from bring recently cooked. I have ordered from Bombay Kitchen many times, it has a wide range of tasty meals and is excellent value for money with generous portions.

I get delivery all the time and some times I go to the shop as well. The food is very tasty and authentic and takes not to long to be ready. The staff are lovely and the delivery men and lovely as well. Probably one of the best and most authentic curry houses in London that I’ve been to! 🥘

Great curries and customer service

I left Bombay kitchen a review on Ubereats after a very disappointing order. They responded with a rude reply about how I need to read the menu for what is ‘tasty’ and that they’ve never received negative feedback before about certain items. Normally I would’ve left my review at that but their unprofessional response has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Bombay kitchen is one of the best curry houses around. I have followed the owner from previous establishment as he is one of the nicest men ive ever met. He is always so welcoming and polite. Ive never had a bad dish and over the years ive tried them all. He goes above and beyond to help you enjoy your meal. He's food is always flavourful and generous.

My family has followed this restaurant through all of its locations over the years, the quality of the food and great service of staff cannot be beaten! Don't waste your time by going anywhere else.

Delicious rich authentic Indian curries

This is our go to for delivery when we order Indian. Always good but last night we ordered Ceylon curry and lamb madras and both were exceptional. Delivery was quick. Food is delicious!

Got a vegetable biryani takeaway from there. Pillau rice is very colourful to look at, veg curry was nice heat and good balance of flavours. Stuffed paratha is made with wholemeal flour and potatoes, nice and filling. Easily enough food for two. Well worth it for a tenner.

Food is always excellent, best chicken naga around. Staff are always friendly and make us feel welcome. Our favorite Indian restaurant and take away, we've been going there for years and will do for years to come 😄

Lamb curry was excellent and the food was hot and well packaged. The staff were nice and helpful.

Ordered a lamb korma. While the korma flavour was decent the lamb itself was absolutely terrible. Really chewy and meat itself had no flavour. Almost like overcooked lamb pieces had been cooked separately and then tossed in last minute. Wouldn’t recommend.

Food of a poor quality. Lacking flavour. Vegetable curry seemed to be made from supermarket bag of frozen ready-chopped pieces. Prawn Curry was thin and had very little prawn inside. Dahl was fine.

Amazing food even when had as a takeaway. Definitely the best curries we've had from around here. Portions are generous and high quality, not oily like many other places. I especially love their naan - all varieties of them!

Have been eating from this place for years when they were on Brixton Hill then when they moved to The Hand in Hand pub on New Park Road and continue to at their new home a little further down New Park Road. I cannot fault the food in anyway it's 100% on point they will make things to your taste if you want a dish with less spice it's not a problem. The food is very very tasty and full of flavor I truly cannot find a bad thing to say about it. The staff are courteous well mannered and very helpful.. Bombay kitchen I SALUTE YOU!! Even though we did have our differences in the past, I still love Rajesh and panjeet. It show to me that faith can bond over 🥂 excellent place to stop by and night service. I love the curry masala and panjeet drank the whole bottle. Absolute mad lad

Had an uber eats but arrived cold.. Was incredibly bland, tasteless and the sauce was spilt. The chicken was chewy and overcooked and impossible to eat.. Despite being unbelievably hungry, we couldn't eat more than the first bite. Would not recommend

Bombay Kitchen, Looking for a great meal out or In, then pop in and enjoy a truly great curry. The owner is so friendly when ever I visit it's like having a meal with family. I went there once for a celebration and didnt know what i wanted, wasn't feeling great too. He said leave with me, he made me a really nice curry (off menu). When I go in now I often ask for "my special". They are so welcoming and accommodating, I can count the number of restaurants that pulled out all the stops to make the experience great, on one hand. This is one of them. They don't rush you even on Christmas Eve (our last visit).

We regularly order from Bombay Kitchen and are never disappointed. The staff are very friendly and would highly recommend it to all! Good thing to note is that it’s always better to order directly from them and support local business!

For starters the customer service at Bombay Kitchen, was perfect from the moment I entered the door. So friendly and welcoming and really happy to help me with the menu, even offering to change any dish I wanted to make it suitable for Vegans. I ordered a vegetable Biryani with a lentil dish and , they made me some fresh vegan bread also! Seriously the food was so good, easily one of the best Indians in London. Brixton is lucky to have it, I will definitely be going back!
