Khan's in Lambeth

Good food. Was shouted at in front of a group of 7 friends for daring to ask for a plain naan with some chilli on as this is not on the menu. A simple “no” would have sufficed.

Our go-to Indian takeaway. Had some fantastic dishes from here - highly recommend the saag paneer and chickpeas side dishes. Large portions and good prices.

I came here for a group meal with some friends-- if you're a sufficiently large table there is space downstairs. They had a speaker we could connect to and play some music which was a fun touch! There are a good amount of options on the menu, including great vegan and vegetarian options. We enjoyed the service, we went to order perhaps too much food and our server basically said 'no' -- and his judgement was absolutely right! I recommend taking recommendations from the staff We had a really good time here. Really good value. Only negatives is the restaurant itself could do with a bit of TLC- a lick of paint and a bit of work in the toilets would go a long way.

Hadn’t had a curry in a while, stopped here after after searching local Indian restaurants whilst staying in the area temporarily, you have to bring your own drinks as I assume they haven’t got a alcohol license? There’s an off license next door so not a problem, I would have liked an Irish coffee towards the end so that’s not an option. Foods actually ok, I ordered a chicken tika with rice which is quite boring on its own so ordered a masala sauce on the side. Sauce was really bland should be creamy and sweet. Only down fall really other than that the food was quite tasty. I would recommend but don’t expect to be blown away with the flavors. This place is cheap and cheerful.

Our running club had Khan's curries delivered to our clubhouse for a social. The food was delicious and arrived bang on time. Excellent

Las porciones eran generosas, el ambiente agradable, el servicio era excelente y me gustó la decoración y la música que me recordó a mis viajes en el Punjab. Vivo cerca de Bradford, pero Khan's es mucho mejor para la calidad y el valor que cualquiera de las casas de curry que he estado allí. ¡La próxima vez que esté en Londres volveré a casa de Khan! We had our football club’s summer dinner here last June. Qasim and the staff here were amazing and really made for a great evening. The food was delicious and well priced. Will definitely be heading back!

Khans is incredible. The quality of the meat was unreal and all three of our curries were delicious (jalfrezi, bali and saag)

The food is absolutely superb. Fourth time we’ve had a takeaway and has been excellent every time. You do wait a little longer than they say - perhaps ten minutes extra usually but well worth it and the value is excellent.

After a night of partying, we didn't initially expect to be able to enjoy any food at all. However, when our stomachs started to grumble and we craved Indian food, Google Maps spit out this restaurant for us. We ordered Butter Chicken, Ceylon Lamb, Samosas, Basmati Rice and Garlic Naan. What was brought to our table an admittedly long half hour later was an unparalleled taste fireworks display. By far the best meal I ate in 10 days in the UK!

Based on the food alone, I'd recommend eating at this place. Great if you like Indian cuisine!

I had my birthday dinner with 16 friends at Khans, and would definitely recommend - the staff are so friendly, the food is really good and it is so reasonably priced! We were downstairs so they let us connect to the speaker and they handled the large group really well - all food came out together and didn’t take too long

Khan’s catered for a recent party and I couldn’t recommend them enough! They were extremely helpful advising us on how much food we would need and making recommendations. It was excellent value for money with the portions being really generous and the food was extremely tasty as always.

The khans of Brixton are a fantastic restaurant and takeaway. I recently contacted them to help me with an order for Eid and they really went above and beyond. I had 15 guests coming over to celebrate with me and they had a mix of dietary requirements, we decided to go for an all vegan/gluten free spread and they were fantastic in helping to advise how much I would need and what would be the best dishes. I pre-ordered the food two days in advanced with regular check ins to ensure everything was going to plan, and on the day they very kindly hand delivered the food straight to my door with some lovely little extras such as poppadoms and sauces. They provided me with enough biryani and vegan curries for seconds/thirds and even to give my guests to take home! All of my guests loved the food and I couldn’t be more grateful to how accommodating they were and how easy they made my Eid. No longer will I be cooking from the crack of dawn till gone night time, I was so glad to be able to enjoy my celebrations with my friends and loved ones stress free. I will DEFINITELY be making an order again. Thank you ❤️

The best butter chicken ever. Dangerous to live too close to Khan. As with must Indian restaurants you will order too much...but with Khans you will also eat it all. Great for the tastebuds but not so much for the waistline. A great experience and be sure to try it if you haven't already.

My friends and I have had the pleasure of dining at Khan’s several times now. Every time the food and service are both top notch. Qasim is a fantastic host and is very welcoming every visit. The prices are exceptionally reasonable and you won’t find food of this quality for this price anywhere in London. This week, we pre-ordered a whole leg of lamb for my brother’s birthday and it was fantastic. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Just another Indian restaurant run by non india people, better than most of them with higher prices and not clear prices (like 1.50 extra for main) Though food taste is good. To me it looked like the hospitality is better for non-asians.

We were pleased to have this restaurant fairly close to our AirBNB. We had dinner there the night we arrived in London. We ordered some Lamb Balti, Chicken Bhuna, Shrimp with Saag, and Chicken Tikka Masala. In addition, we got some Saag Paneer and an Aloo Masala. The food is tasty...but mild. Personally, I enjoyed it. So much so, we went back 3 days later and got some take out. I would recommend this restaurant. The staff are really nice and helpful. 👍👍

My family and I have been eating at Khans in Brixton for years and even though we live far away, it's worth the trip as the food is amazing! Excellent taste, varied menu and topped off by first class service as well. Very highly recommended!

Wonderful restaurant with excellent staff, one of the gems in Brixton.

Good meal but we were put in the back room which was pretty bare and unprepared. There were tablecloths thrown over the fridge and sink to disguise them. The server was also overly controlling about what we ordered.

The food is always excellent from khans, but it’s the service that sets this place apart from other Indian restaurants. I wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone!

Delivery… food is the past has been delicious.. Chicken was burnt and stale, food was cold and had no taste and bread was soggy. So disappointed!

The food was great and the service was quick! Really enjoyed the fun vibe for lots of young people celebrating. The atmosphere could be slightly improved downstairs I.e. mood lighting and less cramped, maybe some light background music but I would definitely come back again.

EDIT: i originally posted this review a year ago and I had to update it because we’ve come back for a second round of our Christmas Curry this year and it’s been an amazing experience overall. Qasim and the team were so incredibly accommodating for our group of 46 people, with a short notice booking on such a busy period as December is! The food was outstanding as always and the treatment is immaculate. We had poppadoms, onion bhajis and samosas as starters, and a main with rice and naans each, plus BYOB, and it was such good prize for the amount of food we had. I cannot recommend this place enough, thank you so much for all your help guys!! ORIGINAL: This was such a nice evening for us! We had a group of 40 people for our Christmas curry dinner and Qasim and the team were amazing on every aspect. The meal unfortunately was on the same day as the England vs France semi final World Cup match, but they were able to organise a TV for us to watch the match during the dinner, which was incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable and enjoy our meal, we had a great time! Thank you Qasim :)

Can I start by saying what an amazing host Qasim is. We felt right at home as soon as we walked through the door. The food was top notch and on par with the hospitality and that’s saying something! We will be back. Qasim thank you my friend, if only I could dance half aswell as you.

Still going strong! Hadn't been for ages so was delighted by how it had maintained standards. A good honest byob curry house. Jalfrezi, Ceylon and karahi gosht stood out but all was good. Waiter was great bit of a character. Excellent location for drinks after as well. And saintsbury opposite for byob ease. Excellent

Where do I start ! I went to Khan in brixton Water Lane and the food is next to none ! The decor was beautiful and the service was excellent but the food is on another level, I really enjoyed it and I’ll be visiting back very soon, please if you see this give it a try and I promise you that you’ll thank me later .

Haven't been here since 2018 when I last lived round here. Just moved back and first thing I did was check if Khans still bangs. It definitely does. Super reasonably priced cuzza and some interesting things on the menu which is nice to see. Ceylon chicken was nice and hot. Veg stuff was a little samey but flavours still good. Will be back IRL for sure.

I’m local & have had over 30 years of delicious from khan’s. I’m veggie & can rarely get well cooked food from a curry house. Vegetables cooked so long they’re barely recognisable. Khan’s is my only curry house & if you’re ordering, don’t forget their tarka dhal, it’s soo yum!
