We really enjoyed the food. The Chicken Tikka Biryani, Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi, Lamb Tikka, was by far the best I have ever had. The delivery was really speedy aswell. Will recommend to everyone

I visited this place at last weekend and had very bad expedience,I ordered my food and it was worst one.My naan was raw cooked and daal makhni was cold and when i requested him to give me a hot one that uneducated person was asking for extra money even when i was eating with my girlfriend , one delivery rider came to pickup the order and he behaved like homeless beggar with that rider which was so not appropriate. Very rubbish service and behaviour.Never gonna visit there again and even told my friends to avoid that place.

Really tasty food. Chicken tikka bhuna had nice pieces of chicken and good sauce. Poppadoms and Naan great. Sag Aloo was delicious - might be a little salty for some but I loved it

I was in London for two nights on business, found The Coriander on-line and only ten minutes walk from my hotel. Most of the reviews were good so I thought I'd pay a visit. I was very pleased that I did, the food was outstanding and the staff very friendly. Price was good for what I had to eat, so I've no grumbles there either (I had a couple of pints too, hence the price). In fact I was so impressed that I went back the second night! Two nights, two completely different meals and all fantastic! I highly recommend The Coriander if you are in the area.

The best for a hearty meal! The coriander special starter was especially good as well as the noorjahani. Great service throughout, the staff were very attentive, and the dishes came out very quickly, we did not have to wait long. The atmosphere was nice and peaceful, with warm lighting and nicely plated cutlery and food. Edit: having now tried the Sunday buffet, can highly recommend it as well. £12-13 for all you can eat excellent fresh food

I had a really nice dinner with family here. We tried several different dishes, all of them were delicious, well cooked, in rich sauces, with lovely fresh naan. Loved the desserts, as well as the mango lassi. There was a calm atmosphere, the seating area was clean and tidy. All the staff members that we interacted with were really warm, welcoming and caring. Looking forward to return soon.

If you are looking for an exceptional Indian restaurant, The Coriander is it. The food is superb and of high quality. The Staff look after you and ensure your dining experience is faultless. Very professional and friendly at all times. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended, just for two or large parties catered for. Enjoy!

If you like a lot of oil in your food which I doubt this is not the place , I had to pour out the oil there was so much in every dish this is discusting I would not recommend this place I don't undesirable food like this I may as well drink a cup of oil . Steer clear

The food as always was excellent, especially the Chicken Tikka Masala. Unfortunately the service was a complete let-down. We were made to feel very rushed, to the point where they were trying to take away dishes that we were still eating. It was only about half-full, but we still had to wait ages for our waiter to take our order. There were other waiters standing around doing nothing, but they said our waiter would be along soon. I don't understand why they couldn't have taken our order. Very strange We were the last table to leave; it was only just past 10pm on a Saturday night, so it didn't feel like it was that late. However they started taking everything off the table including the placemats! When I mentioned that they were obviously trying to get us out they just ignored me A shame as I have had lovely experiences there in the past. Won't be going again though. There are too many great restaurants around Vauxhall/Kennington to waste time on ones that give bad service

Major Attitude problem. We were sat at a table by the entrance door and one of our friends asked to move because it was drafty and the waiter was clearly annoyed even though the restaurant was half empty and we didn’t literally touched anything that was on the table. We were trying to order starters to share and the waiter half answered our questions as if he was doing us a favour. We got zero help so one of the starters was too small for us to share. We asked for mixed sauces and they were annoyed that we did. When we asked for a few papadums we were told we had to pay for it which is fine but then we had to wait. At the end of our meal they couldn’t wait to get rid of us and took everything away and gave us the bill even though it was just past 10pm on a Saturday night. Food quality is very average, overpriced and the place is tunnelled and devoid of joy. Staff is rude. Good luck with all the competition around!

Great food. Great service. Great prices. What's not to like? Recently celebrated my 20th anniversary of first eating at the Coriander, shortly after they first opened back in 2003. Every week since, I either eat in or get a delivery.

Very fresh and tasty and presented well to a high standard however too cold, please make sure it is hotter next time as I am a long time loyal customer also.

Food turned up really late and barely even warm. Had to recook it because it was so cold. Their own delivery driver lied about what time he left the restaurant with our food, at the very least he could have been honest about it. Korma didn’t have any taste, tikka masala was okay at best. Very disappointed and wouldn’t order from here again.

The curries were extremely oily and tasteless. We essentially could not consume more than one spoon of it due to the excessive oil. Extremely disappointed and will never order from here again.

Superb. My third time at the Coriander and it's as good as ever. I've eaten all over the UK and this has been consistently the best Indian food. The flavours and quality of the ingredients are top drawer, whilst offering excellent value.

This is my to-go indian takeaway. It never disappoints! Every dish is delicious, the menu is incredible for vegetarians, and the portions are very fair. Paneer is my favourite thing, and they offer many dishes where paneer is the star. Love, love it!

I been using this Restaurant for over 20 years. And all my family and friends. Excellent polite staff Absolutely clean place, The Food is totally outstanding. Good portions if you want to order something different they will bend over backwards to accommodate you. I rate this restaurant 100% If you haven’t been there before. The atmosphere was abominable. There was a extremely loud large group a couple tables away who couldn’t care less how their behavior was adversely affecting the dining experience of everyone else. That the management allowed this to go on says a lot about what one might expect. It ruined our meal. The food was mediocre. For example, we couldn’t taste any garlic in the garlic naan. One member of our group chose an entree that supposedly had no hot spices, but it was too spicy and therefore barely edible.

I’ve only stayed for a short time in Vauxhall area, but I’ve had a weekly curry from The Coriander since my first taste - much more reasonably priced than any other “gourmet curry house” and much more impressive and consistent flavours across dishes - must have ordered x6 different curries all of equal high quality. Let it be known I never leave google reviews - only those places that deserve it and this certainly is the latter

I’ve been to this Indian restaurant a couple of times and generally it is very good, but tonight, I was very disappointed as the chicken Madras I ordered was bland, no spice or heat and watery. Quite frankly Wetherspoons do a better curry. I won’t be going back.

The food. It was freezing cold and when reheated, yes it was ok, but only ok. The problem was the delivery. Over an hour late. Driver wouldn’t come to the flat. He said he wouldn’t come this way again. No apology. Instead he told me how inconvenient it was for him to deliver my food an hour late. Bonkers. What a charming place, with a kind sensitive staff. I was on my own. The waiter, named Limon, was excellent at answering all my questions. The food is excellent. The Chilean Cab was really great. They gave me a nice table that I liked. I will go back there every time I return to London. A darling memory. Five stars compared to New York , Boston, Washington, Miami or Paris. Tried this place for the first time as they promoted 20% off for their 20 year anniversary, ordered a takeaway for a chicken tikka biryani, when arriving at the restaurant it was totally empty while the Thai restaurant a few doors down was packed and had a queue outside. Order was ready and waiting great! Where it all went wrong? First impressions count and when I was ready to pay the manager/owner? supplied me the card machine, all I asked was to see the amount on the card machine before I tap contactless, at this stage he gave me a glowing angry look and said "I will print a receipt for you". Tip for future Most people want to see the amount on a card machine before they pay in order to ensure no mistakes or incorrect charges, so why take offence?, customers like to return to friendly welcoming restaurants non of which I experienced may explain why you are empty at lunchtime period. Regarding the chicken tikka biryani with the veg curry sauce, this was tasty which would have made me want to return, but due to the rude attitude shown to me, will not return or recommend to my office colleagues who eat out every lunchtime.

This restaurant have the worst service and the way his owner and manager talked, that wasn’t the way to greet a customer and the food quality wasn’t also that great and their whole restaurant crew members are arrogant. Don’t ever go to this restaurant I recommend.

The lackluster customer service left a lot to be desired. Our orders were mixed up, The waiter who took our order he became rude when we asked about our order . A dining experience that should have been enjoyable turned out to be quite frustrating.

Usually it’s good… this time it wasn’t…. I’m not sure if the chefs are diff on certain days but the chicken Jalfrezi was more oily than usual tasted as if they cooked the chicken in oil then dumped it into the sauce? The veg samosas was oily I had to throw it away!!! X2! :(

Very Disappointed with the food and I found a hair in the Starter and without any apology server take the food it was disrespectful and then MR MOHAMMAD a senior server carrying Food around his hands and eating in front of me an talking to me and passing comments to guest and (bangla) That they think no one can understand there words. I was expecting wonderful time but they Ruined the entire moment. I would definitely not recommend to visit here. At least respect a person as human who came to dine in your restaurant. Tasty food but sad to say I made the mistake of not having delivery as I usually do. I went to collect my food and the racism was very obvious. They refused to make eye contact or engage in conversation when I praised the food, I was rushed out of the restaurant in a very abrupt manner. Not a nice feeling. Definitely won’t be spending my money here ever again. But I’m guessing the racism runs that deep within their veins my money won’t be missed as it’s not White nor Asian money. Disgusted.

The restaurant was nice and the staff friendly. The mango lassi was very nice great flavour and nicely cooled. The garlic naan lacked garlic!!! It smelled like garlic but the flavour was absent, maybe it was plain naan? The chicken tikka masala lacked spices, and the Daahl too. The tandoori chicken was nice.

Came in at 10pm to an empty restaurant with staff milling around. We were told repeatedly that they were closing at 11pm. Ordered several curries that were too spicy and had no real depth, as if chillies had just been added. Watched as they badgered other customers that tried to come in. At least the Cobras were cold. Sadly, this place is a shadow of its former self. Should have gone to Tooting instead.

Most disappointing experience. Would never visit again and strongly urge prospective customers to avoid this restaurant. There is no option to give zero stars (which is what this restaurant deserves). As a group of 6 (4 adults and 2 children) we called and booked a table beforehand. On arrival we were promptly greeted and seated at a table. However what followed after was an utter nightmarish experience. The guy who came to collect the order was arrogant and insensitive. He said “one of our pre conditions is that everyone has to compulsorily order a main dish”- which was odd but we complied. We ordered poppadams and he did not care to confirm “how many” and brought a whole load of them (later charged for all). The worst bit is when we asked for additional Nan breads he said “that’s not how we should order” “ the kitchen is too busy” “you have to order all at once” “ our takeaway customers will get delayed” “ you have to wait 15 minutes longer” etc. He was most annoyed that we were ordering more food. He refused to take our order and after his colleagues intervened he eventually did. The order of course came in less than 5 minutes. He clearly lied to us that it would take longer. Then he said we should order Nan breads not chapathis (which is what we wanted).
